I had already activated the gift card before I went shopping. When I tried to use it at the store, the cashier told me that they do not accept this type of card and I was not even given the opportunity to scan the QR code. I contacted customer service and asked for a refund, but instead of helping me, they insisted that I try to use the card again. They told me that once the card has been activated, the money cannot be refunded. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have purchased other types of gift cards through this app before, and those balances could be refunded to my app account. So why is this card treated differently? However, in reality, the higher rate only applies to the portion paid using Snaplii Cash, while the rest of the payment earns a lower rate. This is not clearly communicated and can easily confuse users. What makes this more frustrating is that users are not even allowed to add Snaplii Cash manually. The only way to get it is through previous cashback, which is usually a very small amount. This means most purchases will continue earning at the lower rate, making the advertised 5% benefit practically insignificant for most users. While the system may be technically correct, the way it is presented creates a misleading impression of higher rewards. There should be clearer wording explaining how cashback is actually calculated and applied. I would strongly suggest that Snaplii improve transparency and clearly state that the higher cashback rate only applies to the Snaplii Cash portion and that users cannot directly load Snaplii Cash.
