## What is SnapLockr?

Your private photos and videos, locked behind a passcode only you know — and encryption that means a copy of the files is worthless without it.

SnapLockr keeps personal memories, documents and private moments off the camera roll and out of view. No account, no upload, nothing to sign up for.


SECURITY THAT IS REAL, NOT DECORATIVE

- AES-256-GCM encryption — the standard used to protect classified material
- Face ID / Touch ID — a biometric match releases the key itself, so it is a cryptographic lock and not just a screen you can skip past
- Your passcode is never stored, anywhere, in any form — not even hashed
- Break-in alerts — silently photographs anyone who tries the wrong passcode
- Decoy vault — a second passcode opens a separate, innocuous vault
- Escalating lockout — repeated wrong guesses slow to a crawl, and the delay survives force-quitting the app
- Auto-lock the moment you leave the app


ORGANISE A LARGE LIBRARY

- Albums and sub-albums, with collage covers

- Search by filename, album, media type or date
- Text search finds words inside your pictures, so a photographed receipt or document is findable. Recognition runs on-device and the text is encrypted with everything else

- Export anything, any time — your files are never held hostage


ENCRYPTED iCLOUD BACKUP

Backup is end-to-end encrypted. Your media is encrypted on your device before it leaves, and Apple stores only ciphertext — SnapLockr has no server and no way to read any of it.

The trade that comes with it: a recovery code is issued once, at setup. It is the only way back in if the passcode is forgotten. Keep it somewhere safe. We cannot reset it, because we never had it.


PRIVACY, SPECIFICALLY

- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers
- No account and no email address required
- Nothing leaves the device unless you turn on backup
- Recognised text, thumbnails and filenames are encrypted too, not just the photos


WHAT IS FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT

Free: up to 3 albums, 2 sub-albums each, and 25 items. Full encryption, Face ID, break-in alerts, decoy vault and export are all included — security is not the paid part.

Premium unlocks unlimited albums and items, Collections, the private browser, wireless transfer and encrypted iCloud backup.

Monthly, annual, or a one-off lifetime purchase. No advertising, ever.

Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings.

SECURITY

- Changing your passcode is now instant and no longer re-encrypts your library. If a passcode change has ever given you trouble, this is the fix
- A Face ID match now releases the encryption key itself, rather than unlocking a screen
- Lockout delays after repeated wrong passcodes now survive force-quitting the app

Existing vaults upgrade automatically on first launch. Nothing needs re-importing.
