## What is Snapsift?

You probably have thousands of nearly identical photos taking up space right now. Snapsift scans your library, groups similar shots together, and helps you keep only the best ones.


Most duplicate finders only catch exact copies. Snapsift uses on-device AI to spot photos that look alike but aren't pixel-perfect matches. Think: 10 shots of the same sunset, a dozen selfie attempts, or burst photos you forgot to clean up.

Storage, measured properly.

Storage insights now weighs your whole library, not just what a scan happened to find. It shows what your photos and videos hold, how that compares with the space still free on your iPhone, and the twenty heaviest items. The Photos app cannot sort by size, so one large video stays invisible until you scroll past it.

Videos are counted for the first time. On a typical library they are a handful of items holding half the space.

A tray. Decisions from every set collect in one place and are deleted together, after a single confirmation. Clearing 63 sets used to mean 63 separate system dialogs. Undo works on every decision until the tray is emptied.

A scan can now be stopped and picked up again, and says when it is resuming rather than starting over.

Faster and sharper:
- Scans reused nothing from the previous run. On a large library that was 23 minutes instead of 2.
- Thumbnails were blurry throughout the app. They are now requested at the size they are drawn.
- Scrolling the list of sets stuttered. It no longer queries the photo library while drawing.
- Swiping between photos in a set did nothing. Fixed.
- Storage figures are measured per photo rather than averaged, so the amount you can reclaim is now accurate.

Also: every screen supports Dynamic Type, larger touch targets and VoiceOver fixes on the picking screen, clearer paywall pricing, and a new app icon.
