I like being able to use my iPhone to get professional quality photos with multiple exposures and then ability to upload for editing. The editing is always good, but sometimes the editing is better on some projects than others. The app and their processes are the most frustrating part. You can’t just directly pay for your order. You must purchase credits first, then submit your order and pay using a credit card. This is unnecessary and just wastes my time, in particular because there is no way to save your payment method and they don’t accept Apple Pay or other convenience methods. This means I have to have my credit card accessible every time I submit an order. It’s costing you money, because there have been instances where I didn’t have access to my credit card, so we just didn’t submit the orders. If they would improve this, this would be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ app. ### 5/5 — Amazing editing *2025-06-13, version 1.4.0* I have used the snapsnapsnap app and the editing at box brownie for several jobs and it always comes out better than expected and you can’t beat the price! On a couple of occasions I’ve used SnapSnapSnap to see how well they could edit some difficult shots and to my suprise they did VERY well. Their app is extremely easy to use and they offer many options to compliment any marketing plan. The app has some struggles in terms of stability and really wipes out your battery. But if you take more shots that you need, keep your phone plugged in and go back and delete before you send for stacking . You will have more to work from. Sure, many of us can do exposure stacking, masking out and replacing skies etc but when your a one man show like me this app allows me to save a lot of time at a fraction of what my hr rate would be to do the same work. The app is super easy to use, it’s ridiculous and the quality of the images I get back after their editing team touch them up is amazing. For the money (extremely fair in their pricing), you simply cannot beat what they offer. Which drastically underexposed the image it didn’t seem to take into account the bracketed exposure. Tired it a couple of times no joy. Suppose just go back to stacking the exposures in photoshop. I’m not dishing the app it just didn’t work for me. Wasted half and hour. ### 1/5 — Professional Quality? What a joke. *2023-05-19, version 1.3.1* Disclosure, I’ve been shooting real estate for 7 years. I know shoot flambient but use HDR as a backup option for low quality homes such as those needing full renovation. When I first started out I used boxbrownie and had an awful time getting quality consistent edits. Fast forward a few years I thought I’d look into this just as a backup option in case my camera died on a job. I made sure I had the settings setup to the highest quality and used a tripod. I shot this next to my DSLR. First, their editors still have no idea how to properly edit RE. Just low quality work at a top-of-the-market $1.60 per edit. I even turned off the “sky swaps” in the settings and it was still done. Second is noise. Part of this is a lack of knowledge on the part of the editors and the other is the fact this is shooting with a tiny sensor cell phone. This DOES NOT in any way shape or form constitute professional and that language is offensive to me as an actual professional. I tested this on a job site without a client present. If I ever took my phone out to shoot a home I would never be hired again. The last point is time. I set this up right next to my DSLR to just shooting the large living spaces as a test. The app on an iPhone 13 took 3-4 times longer per shot than my DSLR using AEB. In conclusion I strongly encourage you avoid this app and box brownie for the following reasons: 1. Low quality edits at top of the market outsource pricing 2. Time on site is tripled vs shooting AEB with a dslr. 3. Using a cell phone and pretending it’s “professional” is a slap in the face to the actual pros. ### 1/5 — Horrible app and even worse customer service! *2023-02-21, version 1.2.6* This app crashes every time you try to submit a job. Then, their customer service team tells you to just upload things through their website. So what’s the point of the app other than wasting hours of your time. On top of that, they make it sound like they’re working on fixing your issue and then you never hear back from them. In a side by side comparison of Snap’s photos with photos by the professional photographer who took my photos in the past, many of my friends and colleagues couldn’t tell the difference. Of course, the user has to know how to frame a photo, but the app does the rest of the work for you. And it’s much cheaper than hiring a photographer. And YOU own the photos. And the turnaround time is stellar…usually 24 hours or fewer.
