What it does it does automatically and well. I find it works best if you adjust the duration to 10 secs and the layout to square. A framing size that matches the Apple Watch screen ratio - so that I can make threads with apple watch screenshots 2. A setting that allows me to specify en-masse a “per photo time” so for instance if my thread is just a collection of still photos, and I only want each photo to be displayed for, say, .5 seconds, it would be great to be able to do this. I am doing a project where I take a screenshot of my watch every day and am going to turn it into a year long timelapse where each screenshot only shows up for a couple frames. Can choose 4:3 or 16:9 landscape or portrait formats, and even includes several background music tracks of different styles to choose from if you want some background music. No need for instructions even it's so wonderfully put together. Beautifully intuitive. Using snapthread for my baby’s first year montage was a great alternative to regular editing tools and a huge time saver. ### 5/5 — Fantastic App *2019-08-16, version 2.1.2* I just downloaded this an hour ago and can tell you I really love it. I needed to clean up a lot of older pictures off my iPhone and yet the backups I’ve made onto other clouds (not iCloud) do not provide the same option I get with live photos so I downloaded this and saved a set to a 30 second video. It worked like a charm with about 10 live photos. It does save it with a watermark on the free version which I don’t mind since I was trying it out. I immediately ordered the premium version and it’s well worth for $5. Was able to combine live photos with stills and a video for wonderful 4+ minute video. So worth it! Thank you Becky! I’d been using another app since my 2 year old was born and it involved a lot more scrolling/swiping and a lot less customization options. Now it’s super simple to make a daily “clip reel” for our memory app that the grandparents are addicted to :) Love that you can combine movies, Live photos, and stills. You can tell a lot of care goes into the updates as they come. It is so easy and intuitive to use but it crashes all the time!! It even crashes my phone and males it turn off. And as there is no way to save I have to start over and over. I have been trying to complete a project for hours starting over and over again. Free apps offer the same functions with less hassle and didn’t have issues uploading my photos for a 3 minute movie I was making. ### 1/5 — WASTE OF MONEY! app keeps crashing *2019-05-22, version 2.0.1* So i downloaded this app yesterday and even paid for the full services but literally when i was about to finish the entire app crashed! I closed the app and started it up again it gave me the option to recover my last project so i opted for that and after 5 mins of loading it finished and it wouldn’t even let me edit it. So i gave up on that video and decided to edit a new one but now it won’t let me edit anything at all not even when i try editing small videos. Whether it be a trip or a day spent with friends, having all your favourite photos in new place, with the option to overlay with music and even titles is the best. I share my little videos with people and they love them too. Becky, if you see this, I have a question about the music. When I try to add music from my phone, rather than the music available in the app, I cannot see all of my music. I often want to quickly document an activity my class is carrying out. Snapthread makes this so easy. Much quicker than iMovie or clips. I’ve astonished colleagues by getting a video online almost as an activity is taking place. From birth, to his 1st birthday. It was a piece of cake combining the photos in date order, and cropping videos to 3 secs to make them fit in with the feel of the fast paced video. I laid music over the top, kept the original soundtrack of baby noises etc, and it was done in less than an hour. The 3min 20sec video saved to my phone roll and I’ve managed to WhatsApp it to my family easily.
