I bought it years ago and stopped using it because it was so frustrating. I just recently tried it again thinking they would have fixed the issue by now, but it’s doing the same thing! ### 4/5 — Alphabetical Order… *2021-10-22, version 4.6.7* Love SnapType!!! Convenient import function that allows to prep work ahead of time and super easy to use interface, love the ability to organise the worksheet in different folders. And if something comes up at the last minute, acquiring a new worksheet it’s just a matter of a snap! My 7-year-old son has cerebral palsy which causes extreme difficulty with fine motor control. He can barely write his name where other kids his age are able to write pages upon pages of material. SnapType Pro has enabled my son to express his language and thoughts. It is super easy to take a photo of his math or spelling worksheets. He can type his answers directly onto the iPad. (PS--we have used this version the entire school year and it does not crash or have any issues other reviewers talk about so the bugs must be fixed!) I can't say enough good things about this App. Great for students, teachers, and Occupational Therapists. Our public elementary school is actually now purchasing this App for students with special educational needs with respect to fine motor control. Thank you for this amazing App and it's wonderful developers. (bugs are fixed) *2016-10-15, version 4.1.3* This app has changed the lives of so many of my students! It is amazing! My kiddos are now able to express themselves, it is amazing to see their confidence growing and independence blossom. There were a few bugs, but the developer was so quick to fix them! I saw a couple bad reviews talking about the bugs, but the people behind the scenes seem to work so fast and are so responsive to all my emails. I cannot thank this app enough for changing the lives of so many of my students! First, the photo snap part does not work like any normal camera. Just taking a picture is messed up as when you move the device the picture moves in both the opposite direction and rotated at the same time! Why not just act like the normal device camera? So stupid, should stick to conventional editing concepts! Then you have to crop which could be automated like your average check deposit tool from your bank. Then you save and the results a a very dim image it looks black!! WTH? Just use a pdf tool to get the same resul for less money. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2016-09-19, version 4.1* Such a bummer. She lacks the motor skills to write so the App has opened up so many possibilities and lessons for her. Thank you. I don’t know where we’d be now without it. I have also been incredibly impressed by the speed and understanding of customer service. A glitch on the App was reported and rectified by an update in under 24 hours with regular communication throughout. ### 5/5 — Great app *2023-05-18, version 4.6.10* Update (May18/23): App support has been very responsive. Fixed issues and had good communication through the whole experience. Update (May 17/23): App support has been working with me to debug and may have resolved issues with upcoming update. Thanks. Will adjust my review again with newer release. Previously: It seems this new update (to introduce SnapType Pro 2) brings back some of the bugs reported years ago. It crashes when starting. It also deleted all my previous files as if I've never used SnapType before. After restarting my iPad (with latest iPadOS), app loads but only once. Device restart is required again. It is very simple to use and is great at school and home. ### 5/5 — Valuable tool *2020-07-10, version 4.5.2* I have been using SnapType Pro as a tool for my special education students for 3 years because it serves students with a wide range of abilities. My students who can use a keyboard quickly learn how to independently snap a picture of their assignment and immediately start working just as their peers are doing. My students who use AAC on an ipad for communication can compose each of their answers on their AAC app, hit ‘copy’, flip over to the SnapType app and paste it directly on the worksheet or whatever else the class is using. Once completed, they hit ‘share’ and they email it to me or upload it into their Seesaw journal, Google drive, etc. We are getting excellent technology like Chromebooks in the classroom now, but the ipad is always with us, whether we are working in the library or maybe outside in the garden, and there is no need to log in so we find it very helpful and convenient. ### 5/5 — Amazing App! *2020-02-21, version 4.5* I have been using SnapType for my school for three years now, and it has really helped since I can’t write well or for very long due to my tremor.
