## What is SnapWord?

Learn vocabulary from photos — language learning with your camera, not a random word list.

SnapWords helps you build real-world vocabulary from the objects around you. Point your camera at something in your room, on your desk, or on the street. Turn it into a visual vocab card with native pronunciation, definitions, and example sentences — then review with spaced repetition so the word stays.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Photograph a real object.
2. Get a vocab card with pronunciation and meaning.
3. Collect words into your personal vocabulary deck.
4. Review with flashcards and spaced repetition.

WHY THIS APPROACH
• Visual learning: the photo is the memory anchor — not clip-art from a picture dictionary.
• Contextual vocabulary: you learn words attached to your life, not disconnected drills.
• Objects, not documents: this is language learning with a camera, not a PDF scanner or translator.
• Speak with confidence: hear pronunciation on every card and practice saying the word.

FOR LANGUAGE LEARNERS
• Ten languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Arabic.
• CEFR difficulty on captured words — useful for beginners building everyday vocabulary.
• A vocabulary builder that grows from what you actually see — at home, at school, or while you travel.
• Flashcards and spaced repetition for review — the same retention mechanics learners expect from leading study apps, applied to words you chose yourself.

OPTIONAL SMART Q&A
Ask follow-up questions about a word — how to use it, what it means in context. AI is optional and off until you enable it.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Photos, stickers, and review history stay on your iPhone by default. Your camera roll is not used as training data unless you opt in.

NOT A WORD GAME
SnapWords is for people who want to learn vocabulary from the real world — not word-search puzzles or anagram games.
