Never glitchy, never have problems recording, so many presets to inspire, great price - a must buy in my opinion. Level 2 - For anyone looking to make quality chiptune music, this has all the bells and whistles you will need from a vast library of presets to the super easy UI allowing you to make your own. Despite this I went ahead and bought this app without hearing any samples because I loved all the audio kit apps so far and I like their new direction or mixing romplers with samplers. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. There’s such a wide variety of sounds you can make with this, and tweaking presets is a great time. Getting refund while I still can **Developer response:** Thank you, If some presets sound "off beat" please check the Sequencer "Rate" knob to see if it set to a whole or dotted note. For example, if you're looking for exactly on the beat you'll want "1/8" instead of "1/8 T". Hope that helps! If you do not like it, certainly you should ask for a refund! ### 3/5 — Very good once bugs are worked out *2023-09-25* It sounds great and it’s fun to use! The only challenge I’ve seen is that it keeps crashing in AUM when I’m sequencing midi to it and trying to record. Hopefully this can be addressed soon! ### 3/5 — Sequencer issues *2023-08-22* The sounds are nostalgic and wonderful on the whole, but as always with AudioKit apps the sequencer never triggers properly when recording, rendering it all but useless. Such a shame as it’s fun to programme. **Developer response:** Thank you! Hopefully you'll find that sequencer in Recording mode is fixed in version 1.2, other AudioKit Apps have been fixed as well :) ### 4/5 — Mac AU v3 support? *2026-03-10* Great nostalgic selection of sounds, gives me a great palette to work from! Would love to see AUv3 on Mac supported in the future, like it is for FM. It’s often out of sync. Good app otherwise. The sounds included are so retro, as found in 1980s video games, but in 2024, one can make these sounds into stereo pans, plus reverb, delay… the possibilities are seemingly endless! So what are you waiting for? Download immediately! And know that you will pay all of ONE time only, with no subscription renewals! EXCELLENT VALUE! And what fun. *2023-09-28* I reloaded both VHS Synth and SAGA Synth apps, the SAGA Synth had a cool update and a filter update and I accidentally saw that SNES Synth is on sale with a free preset expansion. WoW! Am I happy! SNES is 16-step sequencing in the background. :-) I hope they add the same filter update here too.
