## What is SnipBack?

SnipBack is a powerful yet very easy to use multi-camera event recording system, with special AI (artificial intelligence) and CV (computer vision) features for basketball. 

Simply setup as many iOS devices from various vantage points for an event as you’d like…our platform will record and upload to the cloud WHILE RECORDING, syncing all views automatically, and making the video available for streaming. 

MULTI-VIEW RECORDING
Just set the game/event name, then join as many recording devices as you’d like. SnipBack AI will take care of the rest. When watching recorded footage, you’ll easily be able to switch vantage points as all views are automatically synced. 

TEAM SHARING
Associate a game/event with a team (or group), and then once uploaded, all team members will automatically have that game ready for streaming in their accounts. 

PINNED WHITEBOARDS 
Coaches, directors, or event organizers can easily record and pin a whiteboard session to a game/event. Just start a session, then speak, draw, and navigate through the video. Once done just stop the session, and then all team members will automatically see that pinned whiteboard in their accounts. Takes on demand learning to the next level. 

REAL-TIME BOOKMARKS
Coaches, directors, and event organizers can easily set digital bookmarks real-time, either from a recording device or from any mobile phones. Simple tap the bookmark button, and then when playing the video easily jump to and review bookmarked footage. If recording via multiple devices, these bookmarks automatically synced across all vantage points. 

ADVANCED STREAMING PLATFORM
All recordings are uploaded while recording (not afterwards), and as such footage is available to stream almost immediately (within 60 seconds).

BASKETBALL AI AND CV FEATURES
Utilize AI and CV for basketball, where all basketball footage is processed and made searchable. Users can easily create and view custom SnipReels, which are virtual videos broken down into play blocks. These blocks can be generated automatically by AI/CV or manually by coaches. Examples of some AI/CV blocks would be made shots, missed shots, made 3-pointers, assists, and turnovers just to name a few. Users scan share, link, or export any such block; they can even pin a custom whiteboard to a block. 

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION 
Never before has it been so simple and secure for event participants to tap into any setup event cameras to get desired photos and videos for themselves. Once logged into an event with a special event code, they can simply tap their own bookmark button each time something they want footage for occurs (e.g. their kid just made a nice play). After that the desired footage from all vantage points automatically gets downloaded into their gallery….it’s that simple!

The app loading times are really bad, the best chance I get to use it is on my xbox while using the internet with an ethernet cable plugged in. It is very unresponsive, repeats footage a lot, lastly not as organized as other apps. I am a professional football player so this makes it really hard for me to watch film and improve my craft.

Review in 2 parts: 

1. Video grab 

A useful app but for anyone with half a 👉serious usage intent👈 it needs

- access to Ultrawide camera

- qualification when you’ve exceeded the x2 optical zoom, and are using digital zoom

2. Photo grab

Users beware that the photos are at “frame grab” resolution- losing about 1/3 in quality and size (ouch!)
ie. from 12mp camera resolution down to 8mp in-app 
(Native camera app vs. SnipBack on iPhone 11 Pro, with SnipBack record resolution set at 4K 60FPS)
These are still fab for personal use, possibly Social Media but that’s where it ends.

Definitely potential though!

I’ve forwarded to our dev team, and expect both your suggestions will be implemented within 4 weeks. That includes access to ultra wide lens and qualification when beyond 2x optical zoom. Both great suggestions. And we agree 100% on image quality...we feel our approach will cover the vast majority of people’s needs, but certainly give up some quality in favor of capture convenience. I have a 2 year old, and like so many, I want to capture some of those special baby moments for the future. But I found myself recording too much video and not capturing what I wanted. SnipBack is a great solution. I just hold it up and wait. If something happens, I just swipe left or down on the screen...it goes back in time and gets it. Better yet, if I want just a picture, I swipe right and can scan the last 10 seconds for the best pics! And most importantly, if nothing happens, I just put the phone away and don’t have any useless video in my library. Love it!

The video recording is great, but I really don’t take a lot of videos. The features to add effects like slow motion are appealing as well, but again not sure how much I’m going to use it. That being said, the picture taking features are AWESOME! I wish I had this for our family vacation in Colorado. Trying to catch the perfect pics on winding roads, not knowing what’s around the bend, was tough.  We take many road trips and having this really helps capture the unexpected and cool things on the drive.  Also, a great distraction to play with on LONG DRIVES with four kids!!!
