### 5/5 — INCREDIBLE APP

*2026-07-26, version 1.27.0*

I’ve never given an app five stars before. SNIPFIC IS 100% WORTH IT. I use it all the time to write and gain an audience, it’s amazing!

### 5/5 — Calling All Writers!

*2026-07-25, version 1.27.0*

SnipFic is an awesome writing app that I started using due to a friend recommendation! It’s a really great way to collaborate on stories, find great writing pieces, build and audience, and finally free your brain of the millions of delusion living there without any rent. Don’t usually write reviews but this is a 10/10 app that improved my writing immensely.

### 5/5 — Brovo

*2026-07-25, version 1.27.0*

Fantastic will write again

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

SNIPFIC IS A GREAT APP!! Definitely 5 stars. If you like writing, GET IT. Or if you don’t like writing, still get it!

### 5/5 — 5 STARS

*2026-07-24*

It’s great especially when I don’t feel like reading my novel or feel like writing (which isn’t that often)

### 5/5 — amazing thank u sm!!

*2026-07-23, version 1.27.0*

its absolutely awesome, has helped me get real feedback (thats not ai) and share and write more stories and ideas and thank u this is awesome. question though, my back button never works and i need to go back to my profile or just restart the app. nothing big, the format of the app is worth the small bug!

### 5/5 — Awesome for writer’s block!

*2026-07-21, version 1.27.0*

As an aspiring teen novelist, I find that along with helping my writing to be more concise, I often strike ideas for my main novel while writing a snip fic. I also love getting to read from different people’s perspectives and getting inspired! Awesome app, 100% recommend.

### 5/5 — love

*2026-07-20, version 1.27.0*

I love this app! and hello anyone in the quills mafia who happens to stumble upon my review!

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-07-18, version 1.27.0*

It’s a great app I highly recommend it! Where there is a quill there is a way🪶

### 4/5 — Very cool review

*2026-07-17*

Very fun to write stories and to get you writing once a day, I just wish they had more than one prompt per day and that there was an option to go slightly go above 100 words. I’d like to see them incorporate something like 200-500 words which could be like a once a week thing?

I also really like how they have prompts that don’t feel like they’re written for five year olds. These prompts are something that teens and adults who are actually into writing can use!

I also like how you can pick from different genres and vibes.

If you are a young writer or want to improve your writing skills or want to get back into good writing habits I totally recommend. Ty :3

### 4/5 — Actual user, please fix these issues 🙏

*2026-07-17*

This app is amazing, it's creative, makes writing casual, and encourages people who are nervous about writing to actually pursue their interests.

Beyond these very good qualities, there are a lot of bugs.
When writing, if you try to change the spot of your 'cursor', which is dragging the space bar on mobile, it makes the 'cursor' constantly jump up about 5-7 lines. It's become very irritating when trying to proofread.
The second bug that's been causing problems is that when you post a snip and go look at it, the spacing is weird. It'll chop a 5 word sentence onto three different slides and two of those slides will only have one word on them. This is very problematic for poets, where spacing and keeping pattern is important.

I think the majority of SnipFic users would be very grateful if these got fixed, including me.

### 5/5 — Best app

*2026-07-17, version 1.26.0*

No words this app is incredible

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-07-12*

Dudes, dudettes, debts, and Gregs, and others: this is the BEST app I have ever made the decision of getting. Everything’s free! Everybody’s creative and funny, and there’s no AI involved at all! I love it so much, it brings me and one of my friends so much joy and whimsy when we’re writing. It lets us get our ideas out onto paper and actually write productively. Before we would only write like; ones or twice every 3 months, and now we’re writing every day! It’s amazing. There’s prompts that I love, and I love reading what people write based on those prompts. Not to mention the freedom to actually write your own book on this app! I absolutely LOVE this app, and I’ll recommend it to all my writing friends.

### 5/5 — BEST APP FOR WRITERS EVERRR

*2026-07-12*

I have never had this much motivation to write. Like not being stuck to one genre? AND THE OTHER WRITERS ON HERE ARE SOOOOOO GOOD LIKE GOOD FOR READERS TOO OMG GET IT.

### 5/5 — SF/Lenabug

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2026-07-11, version 1.26.0*

Since joining SnipFic, I’ve found an amazing community of writers and friends! I’ve been able to collaborate on stories and share my own works!
I absolutely recommend this app to writers, readers, and anyone interested in creating a whole new world!

### 5/5 — I 💙 SnipFic

*2026-07-11, version 1.26.0*

My writing motivation has decided to exist now. And my writing has definitely improved. And I’m in a ton of fun series with a bunch of people like the Quill mafia, Reginald army, group therapy, the hunger games, and my very own Arson cult.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great app from what I CAN use

*2026-06-29, version 1.24.0*

To be fair, the app is awesome. It is everything the other reviews make it out to be. But I can’t use it. I’ve tried daily for weeks at this point to verify my email so that I can write, the entire reason I’ve downloaded the app. I’ve reached out through the support on the app twice with no response. So if jb Ryder is reading this, can you please help me? I have tried multiple emails and checked my spam but there is nothing. This is honestly getting ridiculous and I wish I could give the app the five star review it deserves, but I can’t when I can’t even use the app for the reason I got it.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t get in

*2026-06-16*

I would love to give this five stars, but I can’t write anything. It keeps telling me I have to verify my email, so I press send verification email, and it says it’s sent it, but every time I check my email, it’s not there. Please fix this.

**Developer response:** Hello,

I'm sorry you've encountered this issue. If you email support@spireinteractive.com and state the email you used to sign up, I can manually verify the email.

### 2/5 — Inappropriate language

*2026-05-13*

I wrote a few words and when I go to post it the app tells me that there is inappropriate language in it so I was like ok cool but it never told what word was inappropriate making have to delete and remove almost all the words that even seemed slightly inappropriate I believe that if my story was inappropriate tell me which word it is so I can remove it and fix the problem yet I’m sitting there frustrated that this story I wrote won’t be able to be read by others cause of the inappropriate language that I had no clue was inappropriate

### 3/5 — Good Idea, Okay Execution

*2026-08-13*

I do enjoy this app, I’ve had it for a few days. In the short amount of time I’ve been using it, one thing has stood out to me. When attempting to post a snipfic, if you have something it deems ‘inappropriate’, it won’t let you post the story until you fix it. That is not my problem with this app. My problem is that although it tells you you have something you need to change, it doesn’t tell you what that thing is. I am trying to post a story, but it won’t let me. I do not have cursing in it, and there are no explicit scenes. In the case that there was someone writing about abuse and it censors that, I have a huge issue. Abuse and other things like it are very real issues that people can spread awareness about through using their gifts, and for me, writing is one of them. People can’t use their gifts on this app if some algorithm censors it for them. Yes, there are other ways to spread awareness. Yes, having a small change on one app may not make such a difference in the long run. But it is still important to do what we can with what we have. All in all, I do like this app, but please please please don’t censor real life issues and events!

### 3/5 — Massive potential, with room to grow

*2026-07-25*

This app is generally good for the community that it tries to curate. I think that this is an overall positive, however, I couldn’t give 5 stars in good faith.

What I like:
- No ads
- Clean interface without clutter
- Very easy to get started
- The 100 world limit offers a unique challenge, while not being overly restrictive
- Outstanding creator engagement and response; some of the best I’ve seen
- Unique, inspiring daily prompts
- Great app performance—I haven’t experienced any lag or crashes personally
- A friendly, supportive community that treats new users well
- Low pressure and fun. It makes writing something that can easily be incorporated into a daily routine with little effort.

What I dislike (some of these will likely be changed later, as the app is still in its infancy, however, I thought they’d still be worth noting):
- Formatting issues: after publishing, the ‘page’ system can cause strange breaks in the middle of sentences. Sometimes this happens for no clear reason, as there is still space on the page for more words.
- Lack of disability support, and fixed font size which may cause issues for those with visual impairments.
- Poor landscape support: The interface does not rotate or adapt well if you are not using a phone.
- No content warnings beyond the 18+ tag, which users can lie about. If users want to add a trigger warning, they must add it to the title or work itself, which can make it harder to fit within the word/character limit. Furthermore, it makes it more difficult to be specific about the warning.
- This app can heavily favour certain types of writing, and potentially force users into a specific box. From what I’ve seen, more dialogue-heavy stories, which don’t contain overly detailed prose, are what gets the most traction here. This may force writers into a generic YA (potentially even a more novice) style.
- Very overt and frequent preaching. I think some is fine, expected, even. However, throughout my time using this app, I have encountered numerous “stories” that are just excerpts from the Bible. This can be frustrating when one is trying to read user-written stories.
- Similarly, as writing snipfics is the main form of interaction (alongside comments, which require a snipfic to comment on), most people communicate through them. As of now, there is no way to filter these out. In fact, there is currently no system to filter out certain things, and only a system to only see certain ‘vibes’/genres.
- Pushing newer works can have a downside, as many people use the part system to post longer works. As newer works are what is recommended, users are likely to be recommended later parts to a story. I would recommend a system where each day, the user can select one story they wrote to push. This allows other users to be recommended the crucial starts to longer stories.
- Search engine limitations—you can search for words in a stories title, but nothing beyond that.
- Lack of chronological tracking—there is no reading log history, so if you forget to save a work, you may not be able to find it again.
- People writing/spamming nonsense to maintain their writing streaks, which clogs the recommended page.
- Account/work privacy: there is no option to make your account or stories private, or limited to just certain people.

Overall, because the app is still so new, these issues shouldn’t be judged too harshly. The core concept is fantastic, the performance is smooth, and the community is wonderful. However, it feels a bit too unfinished for a higher rating right now. It has massive potential, and I will happily upgrade my score to 5 stars as the platform matures and these problems are addressed.

I will certainly continue to use this app in the meantime :)

### 3/5 — More social media than a reading app, but great community!

*2026-07-02, version 1.24.0*

I’ve been using the app for about six months. If you’re looking for a place to socialize with other readers and writers, keep track of your goals, or get inspiration, then this is the place for you! However, be aware that you’re growing an audience of people who like your 100-word stories, not necessarily of people who like your longer works.

SnipFic works a bit like TikTok, where most viewers see one short before they keep scrolling to the next one. You CAN post stories longer than 100 words in parts, but breaking up a story that way is like breaking up a whole YouTube video to fit on TikTok — not productive or even feasible sometimes. If you want to grow your audience for longer works, you’re better off using another platform (and maybe using this app to promote that platform.)

Between the way the algorithm works, the writing streaks, and the rankings list of writers on the search page, this app feels more like a social media app than a reading and writing app. However, unlike most social media apps, the community here is overwhelmingly positive, constructive, and very fun and jokey at times! I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a community of readers and writers like you!

### 3/5 — cool but bugs?

*2026-06-19, version 1.22.0*

i've tried two different emails for my account. i am able to make one but when i want to write i have to verify my gmail. the email just won't go through, ive checked all, spam, and trash. still nothing. i don't think its on my end though

### 3/5 — Fun app, 1 major flaw

*2026-06-06*

Was recommended this by my sisters. I like the app, it's fun, but there are still problems.

What I like: 100 character limit (helps with creativity), daily challenges, easy story categorization, color customization options, fun community, the follower system, saving stories, ability to create series, no paywall, premium subscription that doesn't take away from free user's experience.

What I dislike: The way the app is structured prioritizes the shortest "stories" possible. Little quips, angsty one-liners, and cringey romance dialogue get the most likes and attention on this app and are shown frequently in for you pages. I think there should be more done to combat this issue for users who don't want to see this. Perhaps a filter for low word counts or categories for dialogue heavy fics. And also there are issues with people adding their stories to categories that don't fit their stories at all, making it hard to properly filter what you want to see.

Overall, I really like this. I just think the flaws addressed here need to be fixed. Then maybe I could give this 4 or 5 stars.

### 3/5 — More social media than a reading app, but great community!

*2026-05-30, version 1.20.0*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Quickly becoming one of the most used apps on my phone

*2026-08-27*

I got SnipFic about two weeks ago and it has been brilliant.

I have written every day since getting the app and gotten back into a lot of book genre’s that I both never had tried or had previously lost interest in.

I would recommend this app to literally anyone looking for a place to write and read short fiction in a spare five minutes.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2026-08-23*

This is an amazing app for short form writing(and other forms). There are prompts everyday that you don't have to use but are still really good. If you feel constrained by a 100 word limit, you can add a part to ant snipfic you write. Though I do admit it is buggy, the developer is very active in fixing those problems. The community is great (I've only seen one negative comment in my whole time using it.). And you can collaborate on projects. This is a great way to build up writing steak and interact with people.

### 5/5 — My new favorite app

*2026-08-18*

Nothing else to say, if you’re a writer or have stories to tell but don’t have the time to write a book, this app is for you.
Thanks J.B

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-17*

This app is amazing. Highly recommend :D

### 5/5 — Love snipfic.

*2026-08-12*

Don’t really know what to put here, just wanted to say this is an amazing app.

### 5/5 — SnipFic review

*2026-08-12*

It’s amazing - and perfect for short writing. There are so many different ways of writing, and everyone on the app is so friendly. It’s great for enhancing writing skills, no matter how long the pieces are.

Not to mention how fun it is too!

### 5/5 — Amazing For Quick Reading/Writing!

*2026-08-12*

This is such an amazing app! And while I always like to clarify before I say this that I have no official proof, I’ve suspected I have ADHD for a long time now, often making sitting down and watching a movie, or reading a book, or doing any of one thing for a long period of time, a real chore to me, even though I love stories and reading stories and writing some of my own.

Snipfic offers what other writing sites don’t: short form stories that can be published whenever you feel like it. It’s very flexible based off of your mood and it’s such a good site for writers of all ages!!!

### 5/5 — It’s PERFECT

*2026-08-12*

I seriously love this app so much, for so many different reasons. As someone who’s always wanted to get into writing but was never sure how, I’m on this app every single day. It literally takes three minutes to write something, and the community is inhumanly supportive. Plus, it scratches that itch that social media like TikTok or whatever gives me, but in a much healthier way - I seriously recommend. I’ve only had it for maybe a couple of months, and my writing skills are already improving. PLEASE get this app!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-12*

SnipFic is a great way to improve your writing, honestly. It’s super fast, super fun, and I legitimately believe that I have grown as a writer since I downloaded this app.

### 5/5 — Great for writing!

*2026-07-28*

Great way to improve your writing skills, and it’s surprising addictive to write fun sized stories
