Now has tags! Great app, great developer (fast response and work with the issues). Finally! Attach documents! Now I may bump another app to keep this! I poked around in it for a bit and liked what I saw, but it just wasn’t quite ready for my primetime. I’ve been checking back periodically for ongoing development and I think we may have reached a sweet-spot. I’m going to fully engage it in my work flows this year and see how it goes. Some stellar points to consider are: 1. NO SUBSCRIPTION. 2. No subscription. (Which accounts, a lot, toward good quality and ongoing development. Antithetical what the subscription model would have consumers believe.) 3. An ever-improving balance between complexity and simplicity which, I’m sure, is a huge challenge. On these issues I would easily give this developer 5 stars, but I want some real-world traction before I give it that rating. Already on my wish list is the ability to float select notes above other windows for quick/easy access to realtime note taking. It’s fantastic how many options SnipNotes has, while remaining easy on the eyes. I don’t use the native Notes app. With so many sticky note and note taking/collecting apps out there, the fact that I found The One says a lot. I haven’t paid one red cent nor had to view a single ad. I have contacted the developer on at least three separate occasions abs the response had almost been instantaneous. Just terrific. I had asked for some additional security features and within a week they had been implemented.. That is just terrific customer service. Dec 01 Had an issue on my iPad. I contacted the developer he acknowledged the issue but then had it resolved within 48 hours. Contacted dev. who wrote back saying the problem was on my end and my watch and phone weren’t communicating. Baloney. My watch and phone communicate fine. Nice try. Make an app that’s flawed and then blame the buyer. Odd how YOUR app is the only one with problems. Update: the nerve of this guy. It’s not my responsibility to help you fix your app; it’s YOUR responsibility to put out an app that works in the first place. Stop ripping people off and then blaming them for your mistakes. My watch is configured fine for everything else. Your app is causing the only problem. Go debug your app and stop blaming other people. **Developer response:** I didn't blame you for anything. I was just saying that there might be a communication problem between your iPhone and your watch because these settings are working as expected on my devices and for many other users. I didn't mean to imply that you are doing something wrong. It could very well be a bug in SnipNotes, but it could also be an issue with watchOS or with your device configuration. I tried to diagnose the problem with you (even on a Sunday), but you chose to quit the conversation. ### 2/5 — STOPPED WORKING *2026-02-17, version 6.2.1* Loved this app and then it stopped working Won’t load and kicks out Please fix! ### 2/5 — One major flaw *2021-09-29* Really like this app but there is one major feature that is missing…the ability to search for a note from the list of notes in the app. You must go into a particular category in order to do a search and it only searches in that category. This really limits its usefulness. Also, the All Notes is at the bottom of the list of notes not at the top where it would be much more useful, especially if you want to do a search of all notes. **Developer response:** Thanks for your review. You can open the "All Notes" view to search through all your notes. I plan to revamp the search functionality in an upcoming update. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Favorite App! *2026-08-09* I love SnipNotes and use it on all my devices: Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple watch. Anything I need to capture (thoughts web page URLs, phone numbers, addresses, etc.) goes into the SnipNotes inbox until I have time to act on it – the badged icon is a great reminder – and it’s immediately available everywhere. Notes with an address automatically get an embedded map and any note can be sent as a text message or an email, or used to create a reminder, with one click. Excellent Siri integration and the Apple Watch app is one of the best out there: You can quickly create and search for notes with dictation or save your current location. The developer is constantly making enhancements and provides great support. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2026-07-03, version 6.4.1* I was after a notes app to sit in my Mac’s menu bar and found this. It turns out it’s great on iPhone as well. It fills a niche for me - true ‘notes’ rather than long form. This doesn’t try to be everything but is a good complement to other apps and means I can clear clutter elsewhere. Ein Programm, das sich entwickelt und viele Möglichkeiten bietet. Auch der Support läßt für mich keine Wünsche offen. Gerne zahle ich für upgrade‘s und spende immer wieder auch in die Kaffeekasse. Zum einen, weil ich die app gut finde, und zum anderen, weil ich hoffe, dass der Programmierer auch weiterhin von den überteuerten Abos Abstand hält. Ich hätte aber nichts gegen ein jährliches Abo unter zehn Euro. Da gibt es unter den Anbietern wirklich gute Beispiele (z.B. ProCamera, Bergfex Touren…).
