Currently none of my prior videos will play, it won’t connect to my YouTube account and any new videos I try to snip and save/add can not be retrieved in the “My Videos” section….because it does not open. I’m severely disappointed, especially after paying for additional features that I can no longer use!!! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-04-23, version 2.0.30* Shame as it doesn’t appear to work and is very buggy. ### 1/5 — It will only work for you about a year *2024-02-29, version 2.0.30* Purchased app about 10 years ago. It’s been a headache using it. It locks up constantly. I use apple as my iOS. Seems every time there is an update the creator of app never gets it completely right and have to contact him for a fix. And when I do download the video it doesn’t play. At least not all the time. And when it does play and I snip portions of the video it won’t let me delete or remove the Snippz that I made. Initially worked like a dream but on paying, oddly, it now fails to fast forward or indeed do very much at all. This could potentially be a brilliant app but is totally unworkable and unreliable at the moment. My old review: Wow. I didn’t think this would work as well as it does. Fast. Intuitive. Stable. My students and I have had the same experience. I get absolutely no response when I try to “contact” Snippz, unlike many times before. I used to write the developer and get a response. This time I have tried several times and nothing. It is frustrating because I paid for add ons in this app, and now nothing works. When videos do play I only get video, there is a mute button that cannot be toggled to off. Lastly, when I can get sound, the videos are constantly freezing and then I will usually get the error message listed above. Very useful app. ### 5/5 — Great for song analysis and guitar practice *2023-06-20, version 2.0.30* I’ve used Snippz for a few years now as my primary method of analyzing and learning songs based off of YouTube vids. Being able to isolate a section of a video, loop it, slow it down and zoom in on it is invaluable! Here’s a feature request: the ability to name each snip and then have a list view of the named sections and jump to them. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Great app to learn guitar *2022-12-18, version 2.0.30* I really like this app! Super easy to make loop sections of YouTube videos and with a swipe of a finger can slow the video down. It does seem to crash once when loading it up for the First time each day. My only real complaint would be I wish the play button was a tap on the center of the screen (currently this hides the timeline). Switch that functionality and it’s great! ————— Update - I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it and I haven’t had a crash since and I’m running the latest iOS… so just fyi in case it helps anyone. My only Picadillo is that I wish it wouldn’t ask every time whether you want to start from the beginning or from the last point; just start from the last point. Many years wasted, before this... This will definitely drastically improve your lessons. It is the missing app you need if you are learning a musical instrument. You don’t even need to download the videos you loop. They all have a generic name (something like "MOV" + date) which makes it very difficult to identify a given file I've uploaded.
