It’s the first app with this concept that actually works well. One issue I’ve noticed is that the timer starts as soon as you unlock the app, instead of only counting the time you’re actually using the locked apps. I often unlock my phone and then forget about it, which ends up wasting precious group time. ### 3/5 — Issues with time *2026-07-22* At first this app was fun and extremely entertaining. Oftentimes my friends and I would yell at each other for using up each other's time, and I love this mark zuckyberg. However, everything changed once i went on vacay, where i experienced a 2 hr time zone change. All of a sudden the time bank was messed up and not synced between the group, even as I returned to my original location. Dear developers i urge you to fix the time accuracy and restore the joy i felt oh so passionately before this detrimental bug ### 4/5 — Great app but dont want subscription *2026-06-19* I would pay maybe 10 pounds for a full version of this app but I don’t want to pay a subscription, honestly the friends feature for me was pretty useless I’m using the app solo and the app itself is designed well enough to limit my stuff. I just want more apps and more focus time limited. I’m willing to pay for it but not on a monthly basis. 108 pounds for 3 years is crazy. If I paid for 10 apps each dealing with a separate issue I would be paying my iphone’s worth in 3 years. So make a one time purchase option with idk friends feature disabled ot something so server costs arent an issue, and I’d be happy to buy it. I set the 2 apps to YouTube and instagram so I wouldn’t be on social media as much as those are the ones I am on the most. I used to spend like 4+ hours on social media every day and now it’s a max of 2 and usually less. All the little cues are really well thought out to finally make you accountable on the time you spend online and why. Tried deleting and reinstalling and same thing happened. **Developer response:** Hiya! The app is free by default, do give it another go. Sorry to hear that there was a bug on onboarding! That’s just a scam to me **Developer response:** The free plan is the default after the trial ends, we don't take card details for the trial so no scam here! We just encourage everyone to give premium trial a go first so they know what it offers. ### 1/5 — good concept, terrible execution *2026-02-24* i really like the idea but this app is incredibly buggy and half the features don’t work. you’re supposed to get a notification when a friend unblocks the apps - you don’t. you’re supposed to be able to “beg” for more time, you can’t. you’re supposed to be able to have multiple friends in a group - you can’t. you’re supposed to be able to have “rot days” - enabling the features doesn’t change anything. the app needs to be finished first and shouldn’t have been released like this. seems like it was vibe coded terribly **Developer response:** Firstly, thank you for your feedback! We completely understand your frustration and we're sorry to hear you've had such a rocky experience with the app. We want to reassure you that all of the features you mentioned are either fixed or on the mend! Notifications when a friend unblocks (fixed - you can toggle this on or off in settings), begging for more time (fixed - this happens after you use up your whole pot of time, but we're experimenting with triggering it when you go over your personal limit too), group friends (updating to allow bigger groups for free), and rot days (used to have loads of glitches, but these should all be fixed now!). You're right that they weren't working as they should, and we take full responsibility for that and are working to fix everything as quickly as possible. We are a small team working hard to get these resolved and we really appreciate your patience with us. Hopefully the next update will make a big difference! The Snitch Team :) ### 2/5 — can’t use the app in a group without paying *2026-06-09* Literally my friend sent me a link to join their group, I went through all the setup, including selecting which apps to block as I need my phone for work. I finally got to the join a group point and was selecting custom hours, as again, I need my phone for work, and suddenly I was hit with an unmovable wall of payment. I use it with my boyfriend and it really has been working. I would recommend giving it a try.
