### 3/5 — Needs Better Sleep Tracking Feature

*2022-10-07, version 2.6.11*

The app works great for controlling the snoo and letting you know the level and how long it's been on (basically how long the baby has been asleep).

I would like more editing features where I can input my baby's sleep in the past, like if we travel, as right now it won't let me add sleep sessions past the same month.

Also, sometimes my baby falls asleep on a "soothing" level but the app doesn't track it as sleep. I would like to be able to edit acutal snoo sleep sessions as well to keep more accurate tracking of how my baby is sleeping.

### 3/5 — To SNOO it May Concern

*2022-08-04, version 2.6.11*

Thank you for making this wonderful piece of baby technology. It is truly a leading edge development in baby soothing machinery.
I only have one area of questioning.

If your goal is to provide parents with peace of mind and more importantly a good nights rest, as well as truly provide a safe soothing place for baby to sleep. Why not give parents the ultimate and independent control of the sounds and movement capabilities within the app?

No matter how advanced your technology gets, we will always know our baby best.

Please update the app so that I can independently control what sound my baby needs and what movement she prefers for as long as only I know she needs it, instead of locking me into an automatic setting that may or may not actually put her fully to sleep.

The issue comes when I get her to the proper setting and she falls asleep. The SNOO does not provide that same level of noise she prefers for a long enough period of time to fully put her to sleep and as soon as it stops, she wakes up.

Thank you for your consideration.
- Tired dad.

### 3/5 — Good not great

*2022-07-16, version 2.6.11*

This is not a review of the Snoo bassinet itself; that is great. This is a review of the app, which is good but has lots of room for improvement.

The app has one major flaw: it is wildly unpredictable. Opening the app to pause or start the Snoo is a complete gamble as to whether it’ll work. In fact, over the last month, I would say on average I have to open and then force closes the app about 3 times before I can access that feature. This is frustrating when trying to put a baby down.

This came to an extra frustrating point last week, when at 3am, we couldn’t get the feature to work at all and it was giving us an error. The baby was fussing and the snoo was shaking and we could not use the app to stop it. This feels like a major technical oversight.

Outside of that everything is great. One suggestion would be an easier to digest version of the daily/nightly sleep, and maybe some more data or easier ways to read it. But that’s not really important.

### 3/5 — Parents need more control

*2022-01-19, version 2.6.11*

The developers of this app need to get some humility. They are asking you to trust your baby to an algorithm and a shaking machine and saying “trust us, these settings are right for your baby.” It objectively CAN’T be true that the settings are right for every baby…at best, the algorithm can be right for the average baby. Since the algorithm doesn’t “learn,” it doesn’t even adapt to your baby…and yet still doesn’t allow any sort of customization by the ones who know the baby best (the parents).

At the very least, the app needs to allow parents to set a “maximum level” (and no, locking the level is not the same). Ideally, they would allow parents to customize thresholds, shaking intensity, volume, sounds, etc. it would also be nice to allow parents to set routines (e.g. start at level 2 for 5 minutes, then decrease to level 1 and start normal function). Parents know best! This app is supposed to help, not take over!

**Developer response:** We truly appreciate all of your feedback and will gladly pass it along to our Product Development team. We are always working to improve our products & services. We understand that every baby is unique. SNOO is designed to provide babies with a safe sleep space. SNOO's soothing features have been tested and are completely safe, even for babies born prematurely. The App allows families to monitor sleep patterns, as well as modify the motion, white noise, and sensitivity. Our Motion Limiter feature may interest you if your baby prefers lower levels of motion.

### 3/5 — Constantly having to log in, not best data info

*2021-12-02, version 2.6.9*

I love the data that this app can provide but I wish I could edit the logs that are automatically created by turning the Snoo on. My husband and I sometimes forget to turn the Snoo off and there is no way for us to adjust this so it’s reflected in the app. I’m also constantly kicked out of the app and have to log back in which is just annoying. For such an expensive product I wish this application was more user friendly.

### 3/5 — Hoping for improvements

*2021-10-17, version 2.6.9*

1) My partner and I share the same account credentials since there is no way to sync separate accounts to the Snoo. It’s an ok solution, however, I keep being logged out of his account, several times a day. Please fix this bug! Or at least pre-fill my email address in the log in form. It’s frustrating.

2) Metrics aren’t really helpful. I’d like to see how our daughter’s sleep averages improve week to week, and month to month. Right now I can only see metrics within a week or within a month.

3) There are a few other kinks developers could iron out. Like, if I pause the Snoo for a second at night and restart it, it shouldn’t count as a pickup. I had to do that in order to update the base volume of the white noise as it won’t update mid-session. Which is another thing. I’d like to be able to update settings mid-session.

Otherwise it’s a pretty great app. Thank you!

### 4/5 — Need Dark Mode

*2021-05-10, version 2.6.0*

I love the SNOO app and think it is well made and designed. However I think it could be better if it included a Dark mode. Not because it is trendy but because a lot of parents use the app in the middle of the night and don’t need a bright blue, green, or purple screen glowing in their hands. Even with the screen brightness all the way down, it is still distracting. Just an idea that you could make an opt-in option.

### 4/5 — Such a Relief!

*2021-01-17, version 2.3.4*

Renting the snoo and using the app to control it has completely changed my son’s sleep and nap schedule for the better. It is so helpful to have the snoo track when he sleeps and when he wakes up, and he naps better in the snoo than he does elsewhere. The only thing that would make the app even better is a way to temporarily lock the snoo on a level. Right now, any time he makes a noise the bassinet interprets that as crying and bumps him up a level. However, when my son is first put down, he very happily and loudly coos as he falls asleep without help. The snoo interprets this as crying and turns on. It would be great if there were a fifteen minute level lock that I could engage when he first goes down and does not need extra rocking while he coos. I manually lock it in the app but sometimes forget to unlock it, and then the snoo does not turn on for middle of the night wake ups when it is most needed. Would it be possible to add a temporary level lock button? Thanks!

**Developer response:** Hello,

We're so glad that SNOO has improved your son's sleep! We will send your feedback about a temporary level lock feature to our Product Development team, and in the meantime, we recommend decreasing the responsiveness of your SNOO by using your app to navigate to Settings > Preferences > Responsiveness. Please don't hesitate to reach out to customercare@happiestbaby.com for more help!

Warmly,

Samantha from the Happiest Baby Team

### 3/5 — Basics work fine, could be better

*2020-10-05, version 2.2.2*

Overall, the Snoo and its app have been great for our fussy kid. However, a few things about the app drive us insane. First is more of a RFE than anything - let me have a "manual" mode where I can control the noise and movement independently. Additionally, not being able to zoom in on the horseshoe thing to see exact times is a burden. Finally, the biggest issue I have - stop with all the notifications! I need a notification about if my kid needs help. I DON'T need a notification about every little accessory the Snoo can have, or about different parenting "tips." Give me an "opt-out" or something, because I've just disabled notifications for the whole app, which kind of defeats the purpose.

### 4/5 — Daily Log Data is messy

*2020-07-25, version 2.2.0*

There are some helpful features to the app, like locking a level, customizing the baseline and soothe settings, etc...but the daily log really isn’t as helpful as it could be. The developers seemed to prioritize aesthetics over functionality. Time stamps have no rhyme or reason (start of soothing? End of soothing? Sometimes it says when the baby was taken out of the snoo, sometimes it doesn’t). I wish it made more sense. It would be great if there were an option to toggle so we could see the time stamps just in list form.

### 4/5 — Great but with glitches

*2020-07-16, version 2.1.2*

I love the Snoo, but the app has a few things that need to be addressed. For one, the time on it gets messed up a lot. For example, it is currently 9:46am where I am, but in the daily log, it is saying that it is currently 10:46. My phone is set to the right time, so I can’t imagine why the app is an hour ahead. Also, this only happens part of the time. It says on the same daily log that he woke up at 8am, which is correct. It can be slightly frustrating when this happens because I want to be able to keep track of all his sleep patterns (especially how long he has been awake), and having the app screw up the clock prevents me from being able to see any trends. Another glitch is that the app often freezes when I’m trying to go from one page to another (when I’m trying to compare his nap times and lengths from a previous day to today).

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review for SNOO and our app. We apologize for any inconvenience the issues with your sleep log and have caused you, and to remedy this, we recommend rebooting your SNOO and moving it closer to your router so you can initiate the pairing process again and establish a stronger connection. If your app continues to experience issues, please reach out to customercare@happiestbaby.com for assistance.

### 3/5 — So close to being great

*2020-07-05, version 2.1.1*

Overall I like the app, but I really wish it was a little more reliable. Very often I have to shut the app down and reopen for it to work/let me turn the snoo on. Very frustrating when you have a drowsy baby and you’re trying not to screw it up. Also, would really like the ability to manually edit some things so that I have more accurate data. Sometimes we forget to turn it off right away when we get our son out of it. Other times he naps elsewhere. Would also like to be able to see how long he spends in the soothing modes instead of just the time when the snoo was turned on/off. So close to being a great app, just needs some slight improvements.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This App will fail you in the middle of the night

*2022-12-17, version 2.6.11*

It will periodically disconnect especially when there is a phone update. There is no warning banner in the app to update your phone or the app. So here I am a frustrated parent at 5:00 am and I can’t use the app to control the level of the Snoo because it says it “can’t connect.” It’s completely disruptive to a baby used to sleeping in the Snoo to suddenly have to take them out of it and desperately try to troubleshoot or reset the Snoo in the middle of the night (which is not working for me either). There is nothing wrong with my Wifi network either, so I know it’s an app problem. Ensuring the app is consistently connected and having to reset the connection should be a LAST and RARE resort (and not a way of life during every apple update). It should be the developers top priority as this is critical to parents. Until it is, I cannot recommend this app or the Snoo which is completely dependent on the app for everything except an “on/off” switch.

**Developer response:** We're deeply sorry you've had these connectivity issues and we'd like to speak with you directly at 855.424.6323. We understand how frustrating this must be for parents to wrestle in the middle of the night. We'd really like to help improve your experience. Keeping the device and apps updated can be helpful in avoiding bugs. In the meantime, SNOO is fully responsive & operational w/o the App. To start/stop, press the Activity button at the foot of SNOO. To level up, hold the Activity button for 2 secs.

### 1/5 — Network connectivity issues make this $1,500 the most frustrating device in your home.

*2022-10-07, version 2.6.11*

All I want to do is connect this Snoo to my home network so I can control how fast this thing moves. But it has been three days of “can’t connect the Snoo to the Network.” This is $1,500 it should not be this frustrating. Especially when the sole purpose of this device is to calm your baby and make your life easier.

It is unacceptable for a device this expensive to be this difficult to connect to a network to use its basic features.

My coffee machine is more reliable than this.

### 1/5 — Terrible app, great crib though

*2022-09-21, version 2.6.11*

The snoo itself is awesome, really helps the baby sleep better than other cribs but the app it terrible, doesn’t connect to the network, doesn’t work with brand new router, so buy the crib and don’t even bother downloading the app, total waste of time, even if you do get lucky and it hooks up to your network/Wi-Fi as soon as it disconnects you’re back to square one trying to install the app from scratch. One of the most frustrating devices I’ve ever purchased because this would be an amazing product if they could just get their technology working properly.

### 1/5 — General issues, poor customer care

*2020-10-04, version 2.2.2*

SNOO was fine at times, though our daughter started crying when I’d move to put her in it - hence prompting us to stop using it about a month and a half before she aged out of it at 6 months.

The SNOO would also escalate when an ambulance passed... so more than a dozen times I would hear it making its loud sound, shaking our little one rather vigorously - not to soothe her, but because it couldn’t tell the difference between her crying and an ambulance.

But on that note, it was never soothing when it escalated, so I eventually just started locking it at the lowest setting to avoid the above issue.

On the poor customer care side, they changed their pricing/return policy to gouge existing customers and only sent, as far as I’m aware - one email about it.

Bold move SNOO! Especially in the middle of a pandemic. If I would chart my feelings about SNOO it would roughly resemble the general consensus about how 2020 is going. Optimistic at first! And disappointed and extremely frustrated by the end (well, early October).

### 1/5 — SNOO is great, but the app blows

*2020-08-01, version 2.2.0*

It is so hard to get this thing to connect to the internet. Every time we go somewhere and take the SNOO, inevitably I have to budget 30 minutes to mess around with the app in a desperate attempt to get the Snoo to connect to a new network. It’s a nightmare, especially when you have a baby who’s ready for bed. Usually takes me about 15-20 attempts of plugging, unplugging, “try again”, etc before it finally connects. Most of the time I don’t even change anything about what I’m doing - just requires a dozen attempts of the same action over and over and then... a miracle! It finally works. The developers really need to fix this...

### 1/5 — Horrible App and Product Design

*2020-01-28, version 1.16.7*

Seemed like the shaking was too aggressive for our premature son. So I downloaded the App because apparently that’s the only way to adjust the shaking level. Well, I can’t get the app to work because we are having to stay at a hotel for 3 weeks bc of plumbing issues at our home. The app won’t connect through the hotel’s wifi because it’s an open network. I tried a mobile hotspot too but that didn’t work. Contacted Snoo customer service and they basically just said too bad.

So a $1200 product and it can’t be manually adjusted unless it’s through the app that can only be paired with selective wifi accounts. Amazingly idiotic product design. I will most likely be returning for a refund before our 30 day return window closes.

### 2/5 — App is terrible, Snoo is good

*2022-12-12, version 2.6.11*

The Snoo itself had been great but the app that controls it is terrible. It constantly says it cannot connect to the internet when it’s directly above the router and no other devices in the house have that issue or that the clips aren’t engaged when they very clearly are. Imagine trying to get your baby back to sleep when more than half the time there is an issue with the app!!

This app needs some serious work for the price of the Snoo and being the only way to control it. For the price of the Snoo, this app is not a match. I’ve reset it multiple times and redownloaded the app itself multiple times to no avail. Very disappointed in this app overall. Much needed fixes on your end!

### 2/5 — Terrible privacy, convoluted & brittle pairing process

*2022-01-17, version 2.6.11*

Just looking at the “information used to track you” section that Apple forces app vendors to disclose is a huge red flag. This app is a control interface for a bed; there is no reasonable rationale for exfiltrating all the sensitive info this app thinks it needs. This is a poster-child example of exploitive and needlessly invasive tech. Even if the Snoo device itself works really well, requiring the use of an app to control it, and _especially_ one this privacy-invasive… it leaves a really sour taste in the mouth.

Adding insult to injury, you have to set up an account in order to use the app. There is no excuse for this. And to make matters worse, the app is useless unless you bind it using the Snoo’s serial number _and_ that number isn’t already bound to some other account.

It’s almost as if this company doesn’t want you to share their incredibly expensive products, and values their profits over your user-experience and rights as an owner of a device.

For something so expensive and with such potential, these fundamental ethical missteps are very disappointing.

### 2/5 — App Flaw

*2021-08-30, version 2.6.4*

While the Snoo itself is great, the app is subpar. We’ve been using it for 6 months now and we have had nothing but issues with the “connecting to Snoo” screen. Wifi connection is strong, the sleep history shows up with no problems, but trying to lock the level or manual increase/decrease is impossible because the app takes so long to connect to the Snoo. Not only that, but after it finally loads, if you press the increase or decrease button it won’t respond. You end up in this never ending loop of closing the app, then re-launching, just to have the same issues.

Amazing that the product itself is well over $1,000 and the app developer can’t fix these common and long lasting flaws.

### 2/5 — Exited for the twin fix, but still bugs

*2020-07-28, version 2.2.0*

We’ve been waiting to be able to control both of our Snoos from a single log in (it was a pain to constantly have to log in and out). So this was an exciting update! It still doesn’t work right, though. When I open the app it shows me the information for one account (including settings and sleep history). When I try to change the account it only shows adjusted settings, but the sleep history is still for the first baby. You have to do a hard close of the app and then when you reopen it you’ll get the information for the second baby. Still easier than logging in and out, but would love a more seamless fix.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best purchase ever!

*2022-02-03, version 2.6.11*

This was my first baby and I would stay up all night watching him sleep to make sure he was safe. All the information about SIDS got to me and I couldn’t bear that thought in my mind. I would sit by the SNOO and watch him sleep but as the time passed by, it gave me so much peace that he’s safe while sleeping. We bought it and it was the best purchase ever! Even though he isn’t sleeping full nights but the peace that comes with him being in the SNOO is so worth it. I would recommend it to every new parent. If you’re in a doubt about buying it, let me help you with this review - buy it!

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2022-01-18, version 2.6.11*

I don’t know how we would have survived the newborn stage without our Snoo, and the app works perfectly with the hardware. Intuitive design, just the right amount of features and options, and works as expected from day one. The tips it provides for how to care for your baby are very well thought out, perfectly timed, and as valuable as the features of the app and the hardware. The manual sleep tracking entry feature is a great way you can track naps even if your baby is not in the snoo. No annoying pop-ups, upsells or notification/email spam. An excellent app.

### 5/5 — The Magic Baby Dream Machine

*2021-11-21, version 2.6.9*

The app works great, everyone needs to stop complaining. This bassinet has completely changed the course of our nights. The first night we were getting easily 3-4 more hours of sleep. Our daughter was waking about every 2 hours, and was really difficult to put back to sleep, so we were up so much longer. Now with this, the SNOO does all the work for us. This product is worth its weight in gold, and if you disagree... you’re a Bergen.

### 5/5 — Be patient, it’s worth it.

*2021-06-27, version 2.6.0*

For the first couple of weeks I felt like I was failing somehow because my baby wouldn’t sleep longer than twenty minutes in the SNOO. I was discouraged and contemplated sending it back. I decided to give it one last try, by that I mean about two days of consistency and dedication, and my experience completely turned around. The SNOO has provided those extra precious hours of sleep for all of us; baby, husband, and me!

### 5/5 — Lifesaver for our little one

*2021-06-04, version 2.6.0*

We were hesitant to get the SNOO, but we were thankful that we could rent it. We love the SNOO. At almost 2 months he was sleeping an hour here and there and now he sleeps at the most 2.5hours. We use it for naps as well. He seems to know when he naps during the day because he sleeps at the most an hour and a half and at night he sleeps more. We have only had it for a week and can’t wait to see his sleep to continue to improve and mine too. The things I wish the app would do is choose what white noise to play. The heartbeat sound seems to only play with level 2 and it doesn’t play long. I also wish that when you choose the time to log sleep that you can pick AM or PM. You can choose the time but not am or pm. I would like to not pick the time so it just shows his sleep on a 24 hour basis. Right now we have 12am to 12pm. I want to be able to see more. I also wish it was connected to my Apple Watch so I don’t always have to go to my phone to check or turn up the level. We are grateful for the SNOO and we haven’t had any other issues. So far so good

### 5/5 — Transformational Product

*2021-05-07, version 2.6.0*

It’s impossible to review the Snoo app without talking about the Snoo product as well and I can’t understate how much of an impact this makes on caring for a newborn. We got the Snoo for our second child and the comparison is night and day different. The automated soothing completely changes how your baby sleeps resulting it more sleep for you and for your baby.

The Snoo is literally the equivalent of having a part time nanny in your home to sooth your baby as they sleep.

On the app specifically it is also great. With the new soothing notifications it effectively replaces our baby monitor since the Snoo new alerts us when our son is restless or needs us to come check on him.

### 5/5 — SNOO is worth the $$$

*2021-01-04, version 2.3.4*

I highly recommend you remove any other item from your baby registry and just add the SNOO if price is a concern lol (I would!!!!) It allows my wife and I to sleep extra hours without our baby crying hysterically. It has different modes that you can control from the app and when she does cry for pamper change or hunger it changes the mode in attempt to soothe her. It is very safe using sensors on the side straps that when unhooked it automatically stops and will not resume even if pressing the power button unless the strap is in place to secure the baby. Makes soothing white noise to help the baby sleep. The only complaint I have is PLEASE....... MAKE THE APP COMPATIBLE WITH THE APPLE WATCH!!!! I would love to control it from my watch in the middle of the night instead of reaching for my phone in the dark. But in all seriousness I would definitely recommend this product thank you!!

**Developer response:** Dear Jeffrey,

We're so glad SNOO had such a great impact on your family's sleep and peace of mind! We also appreciate your feedback about Apple Watch compatibility, and we will certainly send this recommendation to our Engineering team. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to customercare@happiestbaby.com.

### 5/5 — Love the snoo and the app- have a suggestion

*2020-08-23, version 2.2.2*

I bought the snoo when my son was 2.5 months old and it has totally changed our lives. He was sleeping a maximum of 45 minute stretches for the first two and a half months of his life- even at night (unless we held him). After we bought the snoo he started sleeping 2 hrs at a time, then 3, then 4-5 and now (he’s 3 and a half months old) we get a few 8.5 hour stretches each week and never anything less than 5 hours. I am so glad for his health and ours that the snoo exists. The app works well and I haven’t had any issues with connectivity or log outs or anything else. This being said, there are some features that I would love to see added.
The major one is the ability to add naps that he takes outside the snoo. My son is a fussy napper and I like to know that he is getting enough sleep each day. If I’m at a friends house and he sleeps an hour in the pack in play and an hour in the car there and back, I’d like to be able to add that to his sleep total for the day.
The other change is the ability to start the 24 hour horse shoe cycle in AM or PM. I like to base his naps for the day off of how well he slept at night since I have more control over day time napping to make sure he catches up. It would be good to set the 24 hour cycle to start at any time, AM or PM.

**Developer response:** Dear Jac,

We're so happy to hear that you love SNOO and our app, and we appreciate your helpful feedback regarding our features. We're glad to inform you that we recently added the ability to change the start time of the SNOO log on the app. You can find this under the Settings icon and Preferences subcategory. Simply click on "SNOO Log Start Time" to adjust when the log begins for the day.

If you need any help navigating this feature, we'd love to work with you at customercare@happiestbaby.com.

Best,

The Happiest Baby Team

### 5/5 — Best product invented !!

*2020-08-02, version 2.2.0*

As soon as I discovered this product, I knew I had to have it. The first 6 weeks she hated it and would cry desperately so she couldn’t use it. I thought that maybe she was one of the few that didn’t like it but right when she was 6 weeks she suddenly loved it! She would sleep 8 hours at 6 weeks and now that she is 2 months she sleeps 10 hours easily. I recovered my sanity and my sleep. As for the app, I love that o can control the speed from my phone and can see if she is crying or calmed without the need of a camera (I still use the owlet camera sometimes) I can’t recommend it ENOUGH. Thank you snoo!

### 5/5 — Best Baby Product Ever!!

*2020-07-03, version 2.1.1*

I am on my 4th baby, and I wish I had the Snoo for the first three. It would have made motherhood so much easier! I love how the app tells me how my baby is doing and how the Snoo is responding. I love how the Snoo keeps track of her sleep throughout the day. I will say that I wish the app would give me alerts when it starts to soothe and increases levels not just when it stops. I also wish there was a way to add in naps manually for the times I can’t put my baby down in the Snoo.
