## What is Snowdon?

Your mountain. Your adventure.

Discover Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa with a walking companion built around Wales’ highest mountain. Whether you’re planning your first ascent or exploring a different path, the Snowdon App helps you prepare, follow your progress and keep loved ones informed.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH
Explore the six main routes: Llanberis, Pyg, Miners’, Watkin, Rhyd Ddu and Snowdon Ranger. Compare distances, ascent and estimated walking times, with route descriptions and waypoints to help you plan.

MAPS FOR THE MOUNTAIN
View your route and current position on the map, with offline mapping available when mobile signal disappears. Record your walk and see your elapsed time, distance and ascent as you go.

KEEP LOVED ONES INFORMED
Choose to share your live progress through a private web link. Trusted contacts can view your latest received location, recorded track and six-figure Ordnance Survey grid reference without installing the app.

Set an expected finish time and nominate up to three trusted contacts for an SMS late-back alert if your walk has not been marked complete. You can also choose to text them your tracking link when you start.

PLAN A QUIETER DAY
Crowd Intelligence brings together historic visitor patterns and holiday dates to suggest quieter days and starting windows. Compare patterns by month, weekday and path.

CHECK THE DAYLIGHT
See sunrise, sunset and daylight duration for the Snowdon area. Choose another date to plan ahead.

YOUR WALK AT A GLANCE
Follow your time, distance and ascent from your iPhone Lock Screen with a Live Activity. Celebrate reaching the summit and share a personalised walk summary afterwards.

GO WITH A LOCAL GUIDE
Explore guided mountain days with MountainXperience, including classic Snowdon ascents, sunrise walks and Crib Goch adventures.

IN ENGLISH AND WELSH
Switch between English and Welsh within the app.

The Snowdon App is brought to you by MountainXperience.

BEFORE YOU SET OFF
Mountain conditions can change quickly. Check the forecast, carry suitable clothing and equipment, and take a map and compass you know how to use.

Live sharing requires mobile data. Locations may be delayed where signal is poor, and cancelling a late-back alert requires a connection. SMS delivery depends on network availability. These features are reassurance tools and do not contact emergency services.

Crowd Intelligence provides planning estimates, not live crowd counts. Daylight times are calculated for Pen-y-Pass; surrounding terrain and conditions affect the light you experience.

Continued GPS tracking can reduce battery life.
