Snowmobile Trails of Newfoundland and Labrador, This app will allow you to track yourself on many snowmobile trails in the province. Mostly NLSF groomed trails but it also contains some unmanaged trails too. You can use it to plan your trips or to find yourself if you get lost. The app has Topographical and Satellite maps and now has a 3d map option including 3d buildings. Trail maps are automatically updated when you open the app so you always have the most current trail maps available. Grooming updates are available in the app for all the groomers on the Island. A full overview of the areas covered and trails is available on the website http://snowtrailsnl.com The maps contain lots of services like gas stations, restaurants, hotels, etc. with more being added all the time, hotels and lodges have their phone numbers in their popup when you click on them. You can purchase trail passes from the NLSF from within the app You can report any hazards you may come across while on the trails, one click to report a hazard and you can also add a description for it as well. and it will get added to the maps The app is frequently updated and all user feedback is welcomed. I used it this past week on the west coast and it’s very accurate and a must have in the backcountry. ### 5/5 — Really good app *2020-12-07* Really good app well worth it ### 2/5 — Needs Updating! *2020-03-18* Very Basic maps at best. Eastern portion of province needs an update of trails. Hardly any information on trails at all. ### 5/5 — Chick Cholock *2019-12-23* Great app, using it for new muskrat falls transmission line. Very accurate except for it showing a trail off the old rail bed west of Gambo to Indian Bay ponds. This trail does not exist anymore, completely grown in, it would be nearly impossible to even walk. That’s the only issue I see with the app. Good job Bryan. **Developer response:** Thanks, That trail has been removed, also several updates to the Green Bay area trails as well as some corrections and additions on the west trails too. When viewing the map you can now press the 3d button and you will get a 3d map where you can see the hills and valleys and also 3d buildings in the map. I also updated the offline maps so you will now see a progress bar to indicate if you have all the maps downloaded to your device, it will show the download progress and when completed it will disappear from the screen. The app now has a button that can delete all the offline map files if you need more space on your device and that will also force a download of any new maps. The app always checks for map updates when you open it and will only download the sections that have been updated saving on data usage.
