### 5/5 — Security

*2026-08-01, version 2.20.0*

Living alone with a medical condition made me feel apprehensive. My brother suggested Snug Safely and knowing I have to check in by a certain time or he will get notified makes me feel more secure.

### 5/5 — SNUG

*2026-07-18, version 2.20.0*

This if my absolute favorite thing on my phone! It has given me so much peace because of how it works. Whoever created it has all my gratitude! My biggest worry was either falling without my phone available to me, or worse yet dying and no one finding me for a week! Thank you and God bless!!!!

### 5/5 — Daily check

*2026-07-15, version 2.20.0*

Very easy to use. Text reminders to check in if you forget before alerting emergency contact

### 5/5 — I love this

*2026-07-12, version 2.19.0*

I live alone and if I didn’t check in, it will alert who I’ve chosen, and I will get assistance. The happy quote you get when checking in is a cute bonus.

### 5/5 — Terrific App That Enhances My Life

*2026-07-12, version 2.19.0*

Years ago, I was a police Lieutenant for the Miami Dade sheriffs office. Fast-forward a bunch of years, I was single, a survivor of a stroke and living by myself. I was living by myself and looking for humans to do essentially what this app does, but I could not find one. I did, however, find this app. And I am delighted that I did. It does everything I need it to do without relying on the human element that could be problematic. Instead, it is flawless and gives me peace of mind knowing that every day I’m checked on and if need be, they can call a neighbor or fire and rescue. I will definitely share this information with family and friends. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2026-07-05, version 2.19.0*

Thank you Snug for providing a truly useful app.

### 5/5 — SNUG saves the day

*2026-07-02, version 2.18.3*

I was so worried I’d die and nobody would know. Or fall and lay there. SNUG is my friend and takes big pressure off my mind.

### 5/5 — Peace of Mind

*2026-06-27, version 2.18.3*

My husband died in his sleep and now my children worry about me. This is a passive way of letting them know I’m okay.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-06-20, version 2.18.2*

Easy to use, gives family peace of mind and keeps me alert.

### 5/5 — This is a Must for anyone who lives by themselves

*2026-06-13, version 2.17.1*

Regardless of age or health; I am convinced this app is necessary for a person who lives by themself. I missed once a check-in and text from
Snug and a dispatcher called me to confirm
I was OK. Another time I missed both, and within 30 mins of missing the check-in the local police was at my door to do a welfare check. My emergency contact was also notified. This service really works and they treat a missed check-in with extreme urgency. I feel so much safer since I got this app.

### 3/5 — Reminders too easy to miss.

*2026-06-06, version 2.17.1*

I’ve been trying to application out and the free plan seems pretty basic. My biggest complaint is that the reminder alert to check in is hard to notice. It’s a very innocuous tone, which some people may like, but it’s not enough to get my attention. Sure enough… I missed a check-in today because my phone was sitting in the room next-door and I wasn’t thinking about it. The ways to solve this would be an option to select a much Lauder alert, or even via text message. There are other applications that do just that and so I will be looking around.

### 5/5 — Game-changer

*2026-05-25, version 2.17.1*

I would just like to thank the person who came up with this simple and powerful app. It not only gives me great peace of mind to know I’ve put this safety measure in place, it is also a delightful way to help start my day. I have recommended Snug to several people in my circle, especially those who work with vulnerable populations or who have loved ones who could use this simple, elegant, extra layer of support.

### 5/5 — Snug

*2026-05-22, version 2.17.1*

Love this app. Makes me feel safer that my emergency contacts will be notified if I don’t check in. Love the morning inspiration quotes-gets my day started on a positive note.

### 5/5 — A little extra protection .

*2026-05-08, version 2.17.1*

I have many animals, dogs , chickens , and a mini donkey & pony, God forbid if I would die suddenly, no one would know. My pets are truly my lifeline. Snug is a brilliant service for people who live alone.

### 5/5 — What a comfort!

*2026-05-08, version 2.17.1*

I’m a young 64- I walk 4 miles daily and enjoy excellent health. That said, I’m also in an animal rescue and have 6-8 dogs in my home all year round. If something happens to me, how long might the pups be without food and water? Snug was the answer! There’s someone looking out for “us”!

### 3/5 — The daily quotes are AWFUL!

*2026-05-01, version 2.16.0*

AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! Mis-attributed, repeated endlessly. Today, she has misspelled Sheryl Crow's name. When I check in, I turn the phone away from me to save myself - it's one less cringe in my day. Other than that, I like the service.

### 5/5 — Best thing ever!

*2026-04-22, version 2.15.1*

I check in each morning because I live alone. If I die in the night and don't check in, someone will rescue my dog!

### 5/5 — Very convenient

*2026-04-18, version 2.15.1*

Before Snug, I had a system in place where I would text my two sisters every morning and they would have to text me back. We’re three older females that live alone. We love our independence and living alone. We have known people in the past who died and were not found for several days after. I personally have three small dogs and are concerned more about their needs if something were to happen to me. I love Snug. It’s very much needed and appreciated. Whenever I come across somebody in a similar situation, I tell them about this website. I also enjoy reading the quotes they post every morning with my Wellness Check.

### 5/5 — Safety

*2026-04-17, version 2.15.1*

My sister does not worry that something happened to me since we live 1.5 hour away from each other. SNUG gives her peace of mind.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Notification to family is an ad

*2026-02-18, version 2.14.3*

This week they stop sending early reminders for me to check in. I have ADHD and do not think of this thing until I get a notification! Since the notification now comes at the last possible minute for me to check in, my friend was sent a notification. Instead of it saying something simple like Holly has not checked in, it was an ad telling her I wanted her to download this app. Old people do not like more apps. She sent that text to spam so now when I’m really laying in a ditch or missing somewhere, she won’t get the notification because they had to send an ad! Grrr …will be looking for a different app

### 1/5 — Politically motivated Quotes

*2026-02-17, version 2.14.3*

The app shows a quote each day when you check in. Twice at least they have quoted Obama re "We Are the Change we Seek"🙄. Ridiculous and not related in any way to encouragement to Seniors checking in.

### 1/5 — Outrageous pricing

*2026-02-14, version 2.14.3*

20 dollars a month for basic routine. What a joke.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2025-04-14, version 2.9.0*

Not a smart app. Short notice period before emergency notification. Does not reset daily and no notices are sent until a check in. I’ve gone four days without a check in. Price is also very expensive.

### 1/5 — Cannot set custom check in days

*2024-11-27, version 2.6.0*

Unfortunately it only allows daily check in. I would like to set specific check in days.

### 1/5 — Failed sign up

*2024-09-19, version 2.4.0*

I’ve tried several times to sign up but never received the text you send. Guess I’ll try a different service.

### 1/5 — Feeling Snug!

*2024-05-17, version 2.3.5*

Snug is a Lifesaver! Every morning at 9:00 am I send my walking partner a Snug. She then shows up at my door for our daily walk. We are both well past 80 with memory issues so that is why Snug is our Life saver! 🤗🧘👍👍

### 2/5 — No confidence

*2026-07-13, version 2.19.0*

This app is unreliable I’ve learned after the fact. Customer support is also unreliable. Whatever changes were recently made apparently affected my account because I’ve had problems for quite a while and they are still unresolved after much effort on my part following the instructions I’m being given by email. When it doesn’t work, I’m given more to do because the original instructions were incomplete or something changed in the meantime that customer support was not aware of. The support is poor. It’s been 2 days of back-and-forth emails none of which result in the app’s working as it should which means I don’t feel it is reliable.

### 2/5 — Great except for the quotations

*2025-12-14, version 2.14.2*

This is tough because this app offers a wonderful service for free, but why they think many of the quotations are acceptable is beyond me. I do not want to see quotes by people like Elon Musk or many of the other people the developer has weirdly deemed acceptable. Many of the quotations are stupid or offensive. The developer doesn’t get it or doesn’t care.

### 2/5 — Bad New Design

*2025-11-06, version 2.14.0*

They changed the layout and look-and-feel of the app earlier this week in the latest update, and it’s awful! Very user unfriendly, graphics are now aggressive not welcoming (not good for something you look at the start of each day) and there’s no longer even room to display their full “quote of the day“. Don’t ‘fix’ what wasn’t broken!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Super easy to use

*2026-08-27, version 2.21.0*

Great! I’m glad I found this.

### 5/5 — Comforting

*2026-08-19, version 2.21.0*

A good way of being connected with being shackled. I learned to have a cushion for check in times and to let contacts know procedures if check in is delayed. It a comforting service I hope I can continue to use.

### 5/5 — Snug daily check

*2026-08-19, version 2.21.0*

I’m really glad my sister recommended I get this app. It gives peace of mind knowing that my family will get an alert if I don’t check in.

### 5/5 — Peace of Mind

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

I’ve been using the free version for a few years. It gives me great peace of mind, living alone. Over the past 4 years, I’ve had two friends die in their sleep unexpectedly. If it happened to me, I’m afraid my body would be very decomposed before anyone found me…yuck. My doc was telling me of a patient who fell at home, seriously injured, couldn’t get to a phone, lay on the floor for 3 days before she heard the outdoor pest control man and was able to call out loud enough to get his attention. With Snug Safety, at least the longest for me to be found would be one day, depending on how long from my check in time it happened. Snug really helps me to remain as independent as possible while still having a safety net. As I age, I plan on switching to the paid plan.

### 5/5 — Great idea!!

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

Easy to use, with daily inspirational quotes!!
Love it!!

### 5/5 — Alone but not alone

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

I have the free version of the app. As a widowed senior I have no friends or family in my area. My main concern is my dog. If I don’t wake up who will come to save her? Every day when I click my button to say I’m still here I know that the day I don’t my family will come for my baby within 24 hours. That means everything to me.

### 5/5 — Just In Case

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

Very easy to use, and gives me peace of mind just in case something happens to me.

### 5/5 — Idea, remote check-in

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

I have primary progressive, Multiple Sclerosis
I am more susceptible to the earth rotation then most… I’m a human Weibel… This allows, friends and family to no daily that I’m OK, and I don’t have to have anyone come around to check in on me
This app has been an absolute godsend
I can live my life… And let those that I want to know… That I’m doing OK.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-18, version 2.21.0*

I have been using Snug since my husband passed away. I am elderly. It gives me (and my children) great comfort to know all is well each morning.

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2026-08-16, version 2.21.0*

I am in my late 70s. I have two children who live within 50 miles however they do not call me very often. Snug gives me peace of mind that knowing if I don’t check in, I won’t be alone they will contact my family. I highly recommend Snug to all senior singles.
