Also I am so tired of ads can’t ever find what I want to use on apps even this one I only wanted to listen to the word , UHHGHHHH! ### 2/5 — Miss representing *2025-03-24* I paid the $45 for the service. But I don’t have the service in full and they want me to sign up for the service and pay another $45. I’ve adjusted my sound settings and volume as much as I can. Is there something you can do to adjust this on your end? **Developer response:** Hey there, thanks for reaching out. We have 3 sliders to adjust the background music, SFX, and Scripture reading, so technically you can take the background music completely out of any or all of our videos if you wanted to. At $45/year, I’d be lying if I said I’ve received $10 worth of use from soakstream. It’s perpetually glitchy, scriptures don’t play, images don’t show, background music might play, and it all has me questioning why I didn’t stick with the YouTube version. I’d rather deal with ads, knowing I’m getting value in return! When I contact customer care, I don’t always get a response, which leads me to believe that they are short-staffed. It would be better to pull this app off the market, reiterate, and relaunch instead of selling something that doesn’t do the name of the LORD justice! ### 4/5 — please fix *2024-07-10* won’t let me make an account even though my password meets the criteria. so i’m not able to get in at all **Developer response:** Hey there Toosie-roll. I got the app for convenience - I have 57 Soakstreak videos saved from Youtube, but I only see 40 videos on the app, and there is no offline mode. That's not necessarily a problem, except for that the video thumnails don't stay cached, and you see gray boxes until the thumbnails all load, which may take a minute or more. I think I might just take the downloaded videos and save them to my Files folder on my phone, so I can have all of them, downloaded, and copied into the "On My iPhone folder." I gave this 4 stars simply because the videos are so very nice and definitely are a nice way to experience ministry from one's phone. ### 4/5 — Help *2024-04-20* I love this app; however, since the update all I have had is issues. I have updated and deleted and reinstalled the app. It worked for 3 nights and it is telling me that I am not a user and I need to update. There isn’t an update available. Please fix this! I’ve had it for nearly a week, and that’s what’s happening: the same three prayers repeating again and again. That is not worth $212.93 of my money. ### 1/5 — They sell the word of God *2024-02-07* Do not bother to install this app. You are the price of using this app. Would not work unless you make an account with them, which means you give them for free informations about you. God specifically requested not to sell His Word for profit. Jesus sent the apostles to preach the free gift from God without being payed for. Donations are totally different thing! **Developer response:** Hey Mircea, I hope you are well. It seems like there must be a misunderstanding. Allow me to clear some things up here. First of all, The Soakstream App is free to download and free to use forever with limited features. There is also an option to pay to unlock premium features. There are a ton of awesome customization features that make the app a way better experience than what we are able to deliver on youtube/spotify/apple music/etc. Continuous play even when you turn your phone screen off, 3 separate volume sliders to adjust the volume mix to your own personal liking, Scripture memory mode, set pause duration between Scriptures, favorite Scriptures into your own playlist, and tons more customization features you will LOVE! People purchase Bibles and have no issues doing so, even though it is the Word of God. It costs lots of money to produce the paper and printing and binding, etc. In the same way, it cost a lot of money to produce the coding and technology for a custom app, feature design, ongoing support and bug fixes, etc. So paying for an app is just like that. You are not purchasing the free gift of God. Praise God His gift of salvation and the gift of the Holy Spirit is always free. So is hiding His Word in our hearts. But we pay for paper bound Bibles and we pay for custom apps. For soakstream there is always the free options on youtube/spotify/apple music/ and even purchasing an album on itunes. As well as the free version of the app. And for the people who want to use those, they are great and will always be there. For the best most customizable experience we can deliver, the paid app is there for those who want that as well. I hope that clears some things up and makes sense. Blessings Mircea. If you unlock resources to be the only one shown on the homepage and allow it to play for more than 5 mins, it would let me see how effective the app enough to want to buy the premium. My User Experience: First, I found it annoying to click on the videos without the lock and immediately be told I can’t watch it because it’s 8hrs long. Why show it as something available for the free users then? Then I went to the main page, the I am prayer was free. Yay( or so I thought)! I only got an explanation of what it is and a prayer and one scripture be for it was 5 mins and it was cut off. I didn’t even get to fully experience what I am supposed to want to pay for. Suggestion: At least 30-45 minutes for the free versions would suffice ### 1/5 — No access *2026-03-19, version 1.4.2* The app gives an error message. During the night I leave it playing and it fills my heart to be swimming in The Word. The narrator had such a soothing voice, and prayers are beautiful. During the day I have it playing in my earbuds when I doing chores or busy work and it soothes my soul. Being with Jesus all day long, such an amazing feeling. Hoping we will be able to download selections so when I’m off line I can still listen. Living out in the boonies, no cell service so if I’m out in the garden I don’t have WiFi either.
