For the low price of $9.99 /month, you too, can feel the joy of re-creating the same SOAP notes over and over again, assuming you remember them, of course. Support? Good luck. The only thing faster than my notes disappearing was the silent I received after reaching out for help. This isn’t a documentation tool, it’s a very expensive magic trick where your work vanish is right before your eyes. I would give it zero stars if it wasn’t somewhat helpful by saving some notes, but at least now I know what it feels like to pay premium rates for maximum embarrassment. ### 3/5 — Licensed Massage Therapist *2025-08-22, version 2.5.6* This app is great! My only complaint is I would like the back picture of the body as well. I am not getting any support when I email customer support. I like what the app has to offer but there’s no costumer support like a phone number or chat to reach out. They don’t even have a website. I paid for another subscription this past week, but it says the subscription was stale. I reached out to their customer support twice, but nobody has gotten back to me in days. The only thing I would suggest to fix is the drawing part, when I try to go back and erase a little line it erases everything randomly and I lose my drawings! So I have opted for changing the paint to white and try to erase it that way without pressing anything else. It would be a bit better if we could add words/typing to our pics for faster additions as well. I also have to take pics of my client’s improvements and would be lovely to be able to add them to their file instead of keeping them in my phone. So, I’ve decided to go for it and start using the app. So, far, pretty great! But, when trying to export a document from a patient’s file, nothing happens and it kicks me back to the previous screen. So, uploading a document gets trapped in the app with no way to export it! Fix this and I’d be more than happy to change my rating. update: After a bit of back and forth communication with the developer and there is a complicated workaround that needs to be redone each time a document, such as a .pdf., is exported. I’d love to encourage the developers to fix this singular glaring issue then and I’ll totally change to five stars. I love using this app and it’s streamlined my chart note taking in wonderful ways! The interface is simple and after a little learning curve, easy to navigate. Adding a keyboard to my iPad has made for a svelte chart not ### 4/5 — Solid but *2022-11-09, version 2.5.6* Desperately needs a better note export function. Although my only problem is that it regularly deletes my notes after writing before I’m able to submit them. I am so glad that it has been re-issued as it covers so many of my needs in an easy to use app without additional pieces such as billing and booking that I don’t need. Yes, they now charge you, but they give you Cloud back up for your data and they have improve tech support dramatically. Still a few bugs, but they are getting them worked out. Not had many real problems until my phone broke. When I tried to log In to recover all the details nothing came up. I’ve contacted customer service and no response, 3 emails later and still nothing. All my patient info has been lost and no one from soap notes has contacted me. They have stopped replying to my messages. I've been using this app for client notes for 4 years and it worked great as a free app and fee-based which I purchased March 2017. Now I can't open the app at all and have no access my client files which is a huge problem. It used to be a good app, but now I'm not pleased with it or the service from support. Stick with pen/paper or find a computer based SOAP notes service with a better reputation. ### 1/5 — Patient data lost *2018-01-27, version 2.1.9* I really want to like this app. It has run well since March 2017. As of December, Soap Notes made a database change and resulted in my patient data being lost. We’ve spent weeks trying to resolve my issue and reclaiming this data. Restoring my backups, updates, etc all do not work. It has been a while now and I have not heard back with any resolution. I feel ignored in this matter. As I said, this app functions great but a data loss like this is UNACCEPTABLE. I have now resorted to doing hard copy notes as I cannot rely on this company. ### 1/5 — No Notice Before Subscription Service *2017-03-31, version 2.0.12* Buyer beware! Not reliable. Did NOT receive any notification of change to this app from no fee (other then purchase price) prior to its changing to a paid monthly subscription. It was a Free app for a year or more, then it suddenly becomes a paid subscription app, without warning and holds your data hostage. Yes, you can see the data, but that's it. The issue is, I purchased the app for $20 as a STAND ALONE app and now they change it, suddenly, to a paid subscription app. I WILL NOT continue to use this app. There are plenty more paid subscriptions that are 100% better and more reliable! Update: now they're sending daily emails. How can you trust a developer who sells an app with no monthly charges only to suddenly, without warning, decide to charge a monthly fee because they're small and didn't think they could make a go of it. If they wanted to charge, make a spinoff app and not support or update existing app so at least we could still use it. This is a big rip off. And after some attempts to retrieve, customer service disappeared also. Five years worth of unreproducible medical documentation records gone. And not even an offer to refund, which could never replace the value of those files. ### 1/5 — DO NOT UPGRADE *2017-01-31, version 2.0.11* Do not upgrade, unless you wish to pay a monthly fee. I recently upgrade to a new verision, unaware that the app would try to force me to pay a monthly fee. The pervious version was working just fine, now I can't write any new notes, unless I pay. I sent a message Yesterday and got no response. ### 5/5 — The most responsive development team! *2019-12-19, version 2.3.4* This is one of those app developers who really listens and implements change requests. And quickly. I recently migrated from doing my clinical notes on a PC with Word and Excel, to now doing it on my iPad Pro. This is a very powerful app for creating my notes. I can tailor the settings to meet my needs, for example, you can call your patients “patient” or “client,” and it remembers your settings. This app speeds up my reporting process, and they’re developing more features all the time. ### 5/5 — Best SOAP App only gets better *2017-12-09, version 2.1.4* This is a functional and solid app for client charting that keeps getting better by the month. I have practiced for 30 years with over 40,000 sessions of experience and I have reviewed multiple apps for practice. When you see 8 people a day you need an app that is intuitive customizable and efficient to use. The developers also are very responsive to support and requests. It’s not shiny and flashy it’s intuitive clean and functional. This is much different than having an app where you have to log onto the Internet and use it through your browser. I am very impressed with app and hope they continue to support and improve it. It has the makings of being the best client charting app. I am not related to or have any interest financial or otherwise in the company that produces this app. I was also not asked to write a review. ### 5/5 — Love the latest updates! *2017-08-22, version 2.0.17* Really happy to see the continued work on one of my most useful apps! It looks a lot more user friendly with a few more features, but I'll never get to try them, Shame. Looks like I'm back to pen and paper. I was using it for my massage therapy notes, It's good to have professional looking notes just in case the health funds come sniffing around. Medibank were sending out letters of clinic compliance checks awhile ago. I can still access all my old notes without having to pay, I just can't add anymore. I did really love the stamps, but you can program the iPad with abbreviated text anyway so hey ho! The muscle chart was great, well mapped out areas. If the software developer of this application reads this review it would be most appreciated if they would please provide the best way to contact them for timely responses on technical support issues.
