—
BLEND LAB
Not sure which oils to use? Blend Lab shows you.
Add oils and watch quality bars move in real time. Filter by chemistry—find oils that boost lather, improve hardness, or extend shelf life. Soaper suggests swaps to hit your target metrics without trial and error.
—
BATCH TRACKING
Recipes are just the start. Soaper tracks your actual soap making across three process types: Cold Process, Hot Process, and Liquid Soap (KOH). Each has process-specific phases, timers, and educational content.
Beginner Mode: Step-by-step guided workflow with educational prompts.
Advanced Mode: Streamlined flow for experienced makers with condensed steps, timers, and batch notes.
Both modes include timers with notifications — step away and the app tells you when to come back. Track active batches, monitor cure progress, and log notes and photos.
—
INVENTORY & SHOPPING
Know what you have. Know what you need.
Track on-hand quantities for every ingredient. Get low-stock alerts. Recipe availability shows which recipes you can make right now. The shopping list groups items by supplier with contact info and pricing notes.
Start a batch and ingredients deduct automatically. No manual math.
—
QUALITY METRICS EXPLAINED
Soaper calculates 10 properties for every recipe:

Oil Balance — saturated vs unsaturated ratio
Foam Speed — how quickly lather forms
Skin Gentleness — moisturizing and conditioning
Fluffy Lather — big, airy bubbles
Creamy Lather — dense, stable foam
Set Speed — how fast the bar hardens
Bar Longevity — how long it lasts in the shower
Cure Time — estimated weeks until ready (4 weeks to 12 months depending on oils)
Lather Stability — bubble longevity from castor oil
Shelf Life Risk — DOS/rancidity warning for high-linoleic blends
—
FREE VS PREMIUM

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.2 — 2026-09-04

Foaming hand soap, solved.

• A new foaming dispenser preset works out the dilution for YOUR recipe instead of a generic ratio, and tells you if a thickener is in the mix.
• Add your own water alternatives — milk, tea, coffee, beer — and edit or delete them like any other ingredient.
• A safety reminder now sits on the welcome screen where it belongs.

Plus performance, iPad layout and stability fixes throughout.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-08-28

Faster and steadier.

Recipes open and scroll a lot more smoothly now, especially in bigger libraries and in recipes built from your own supplier ingredients. If the app has felt sluggish or got stuck on you, that should be much better.

Your recipe list remembers its filter. Set it to Favorites or Low Stock, leave the app, come back tomorrow — it's still there.

Low Stock now agrees with the count in the header.

Shortages tell you the numbers — "Need 340 g · have 57 g" — so you know whether it's a quick top-up or a supply run.

Plus stability fixes throughout.

As always, thank you for the notes and bug reports.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-19

Your recipes just came to life.

New: living lather. Recipe cards now show your soap's lather in motion — real, animated bubbles driven by the recipe's actual chemistry. Coconut-heavy recipes foam up big and lively, butter-rich ones build a dense, creamy foam, and castor steadies it all. It's your fatty-acid profile, brought to life — easy on the battery, and you can turn it off in Settings any time.

New: Quick Batch. For the soaps you make on repeat: record a batch and deduct your inventory in one tap, without stepping through the full batch flow. You see exactly what will be deducted before you confirm — and if stock runs short, Soaper tells you instead of taking half.

Make the built-in ingredients your own. You can now edit Soaper's included oils, fragrances, colorants, additives and water alternatives — and every calculation, PDF and Blend Lab result uses your values.

For liquid soap makers: suggested fragrance and additive amounts are now based on your finished, diluted soap — with a dilution ratio you can set right on the recipe.

Plus a deep round of polish: weights everywhere now follow your unit choice, decimal commas work wherever you type numbers, translation fixes landed across all 34 languages, and your data is protected by an even stronger automatic recovery system.

Thanks for being part of the Soaper community.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-28

Every recipe, sized to the mold in your hands.

New: Molds. Pick from a library of popular molds or save your own, and Soaper resizes your recipe's oils to fill it — no math, no guesswork. Capacities come from real, sourced measurements, and you decide how much room to leave for a tall swirled top. Your mold then rides along with the recipe, so you always know what you're pouring into.

Deleted a recipe, batch, ingredient, or blend by mistake? It now waits 30 days for you in Settings, under Data Management. Restore it in a tap — one item, or all of them at once.

Now you can add video to your batches. Capture the trace, the pour, or the first cut and keep it right alongside your photos and notes, so every batch tells its full story.

Water alternatives get their own library. Browse milks, teas, coffees and more, each with its prep and substitution notes, right where you'd expect to find them.

Plus a more reliable release: we strengthened stability across the app and polished countless details throughout.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-07

Your inventory now tells the whole story of every purchase.

Tap any ingredient to open its new detail screen: see your total on hand, what your stock is actually worth (valued by what you paid for each purchase), and a clear list of every purchase — each with its own brand, price, currency, and date. The oldest purchase is marked “Used next,” so you always know what gets used first, and you can see which batches drew from a given purchase.

Buying in more than one currency? Soaper now records each purchase in the currency you paid and keeps your totals honest — grouped by currency, with no hidden conversions.

New: Adjust stock. Correcting an amount now tells you exactly what it does — record a correction, or draw down your oldest purchases — instead of changing things behind the scenes.

Add a purchase any time you buy more, even the same ingredient at a different price, and Soaper keeps it all straight. Plus refinements throughout.

Thanks for being part of the Soaper community.
