## What is Socarrat?

One week on a terrace in Dénia, Spain. Seven diners, one stove and grandma's paella pan. Can you reach socarrat — the crispy, caramelised rice at the bottom of a paella — without burning it?

· COOK WITH CARDS
Every card is an ingredient: rice, fish stock, ñora pepper, Dénia red prawn, cuttlefish, artichoke… Combine them into real recipes from the Marina Alta — arròs a banda, black rice, fideuà, suquet, all i pebre, espencat, coca de mullador — and serve the plate that scores the most.

· THE FIRE DECIDES EVERYTHING
Every plate heats the pan. Raw is worth little, just right is good, and socarrat doubles your rice. Push too far and it burns: zero points. You see how a plate will come out before you cook it, so every move is a real choice.

· SEVEN DINERS, SEVEN TASTES
The retired fisherman loves seafood, the market gardener rewards vegetables, the grandkids can't stand paprika and the mayor demands rice. On Wednesday and Sunday the bosses arrive: grandma, who won't accept nibbles, and the food critic, who tastes each recipe only once.

· THE MARKET AND THE FISH MARKET
Between services, spend your tips: fresh catch from the Llotja, grandma's recipe of the day, utensils that bend the rules (grandpa's paella pan, the wood oven, the mortar, the hand fan…) and recipe pages to level up your dishes. You can also sell what you don't need.

· GRANDMA'S RECIPE BOOK
Every recipe you discover stays in your book for good, with grandma's note on how it's really made in Dénia and your best scores.

· SIX KITCHENS AND YOUR OWN DECK
The fishing boat, the market garden, the village bakery, the beach bar, grandma's kitchen… Each kitchen changes the deck and the rules. Master three and build your own deck in "My own kitchen".

· SPICES, PANTRY AND VARIANTS
Bay leaf, rosemary, grandma's saffron: one-use jars that lower the fire, season your next plate or draw you cards. Everything you unlock by playing is kept in your pantry, and every recipe has variants to discover: cuttlefish or squid, monkfish or eel…

· DAILY CHALLENGE
Every day, the same week for everyone.

· FIVE DIFFICULTY STARS
Mastered the week? Every week you win opens a harder one: demanding diners, a kitchen rush, a lively stove, the tourist who shows up on Friday and August in Dénia.

· MADE WITH LOVE
• Pixel art of Dénia, the Montgó mountain and the harbour
• Playable tutorial with grandma
• In English, Spanish and Valencian
