If 1 of your players is mid-20s and wants a new contract they are guaranteed to leave you. All you can do is offer them to clubs and ask for a new contract every week, but if there are no takers (and there never are) you get ditched. You never even get bids from lesser clubs for them to reject. Why can’t I keep them on as a free agent? It would be good if we could approach clubs for our players. Eg we have a midfielder desperate for a move, we can see that for example Everton are short of midfielders and can afford him, we should be able to speak to the club and try and do the deal rather than the blanket “offer” button all the time. Also the only players you get to take on are very young. We should be able to take on players who are looking for a new agent or veteran players for 1 last move. That would add a new dynamic. Also, adding performance based bonuses to the contract negotiations would be really good.
