## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not advance to next question

*2023-03-22*

I would like my 29.99 back. The app does not advance to the next question. You have to press done for several seconds to go back and pick another question. Not ideal when you’re trying to run a group with multiple students and only have 25-30 minutes max.

### 1/5 — Not okay

*2015-04-05*

One of the correct options in the game: "...it is not appropriate to do things that make people notice me." What?! I guess it would be better if the target audience for this app would be seen and not heard? Nope. No way. My child will not be playing this app again, and we will be deleting it. Unfortunate, because it was pretty pricy as far as apps go.

### 4/5 — Good pragmatics app

*2019-05-23*

This app is good. A few flaws though: there are no directions for use since the only option was a video which is no longer available. I would also like to be able to toggle between expressive open ended responses and receptive options which can provide choices if kids are stumped. Last it would be nice if there was some type of data breakdown between types of questions—-for example social expectations/manners, social inferences, etc

### 4/5 — Need a little more

*2014-12-18*

I like this app. I think the situations are great. Only thing I would add is making the players work toward an actual final goal. They are on a quest. Perhaps they could be locating buried treasure or finding a lost city. Older students, especially "gamers" need more of a storyline and motivation than just collecting rewards.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2013-03-02*

Love this app. The expressive and receptive choices are great! Used it with a middle school student who was mildly impaired and seemed a little too easy for him but otherwise a great app! I love all the different places you choose from!

### 5/5 — Social skills success

*2019-04-30*

This app has so many scenarios available to help work on social skills with my kids. It is a great addition to our app collection.

### 5/5 — Great Social skills app

*2019-04-30*

At first I was not not a fan of this app, and I didn't use it for a while. Then I gave it another chance and I decided I really like it. There are several scenarios available and I use it often with my older kids. The only thing I would like and this is something I want in most apps and that is the option to hide choices and then push a button to show answers. I want this because I like for my kids to attempt a verbal response and if they struggle then I can offer them the choices.

### 5/5 — Social skills

*2019-04-30*

I was looking for more social skills help for my older kiddos and this app is great! Up to date and lots of fun!

### 5/5 — Great for students in middle and high school

*2018-07-21*

I have had difficulty in the past finding age appropriate materials for students in middle and high school, but I love this app. A vast array of situations that may be encountered in the home, school and community allow the student to be exposed to a variety of possible scenarios. Social skills are such an important skill for students to learn. Thank you for creating a great app.

### 5/5 — Social quest

*2013-10-12*

My students love playing social quest and I love the data it provides me. I enjoy the varied situations that this app gives children to problem solve social situations!

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2013-10-12*

Social Quest has been a really fun, easy, and, interesting app that helps my students to improve their pragmatic skills! They ask to play every Friday! Great job for making learning fun!

### 5/5 — Best social app

*2013-08-21*

I use this all the time while working with children with social language deficits in the public schools. As an SLP, I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Much-needed app can be used with younger children

*2013-07-25*

A lot of the apps developed to provide kids with practice on social and conversational skills are great for teens but there are so few apps that can be used with younger children. This one fills a need and I love the game format.

### 5/5 — Good Tool

*2013-02-17*

This was a much needed resource in an area that was sorely lacking. Social Quest does a great job of jump starting conversations with upper elementary aged students. My students are very interested in the rewards and what they all mean. Good job Smarty Ears.
