SocialZen opens the social apps you already use, with the parts built to keep you scrolling taken out. Messages, profiles, search and posting all work exactly as they did. Reels, Shorts, Spotlight, For You and Explore do not appear at all. WHAT GETS REMOVED • Short-form video — Reels, Shorts, Spotlight and the For You feed • Explore, trending rails and "suggested for you" injected between real posts • Ads and trackers, refused at the network rather than hidden after they load • Like and view counts, comment sections and story trays — each one optional WHAT STAYS • Direct messages and group chats • Profiles, followers and search • Posting, replying and reacting • A video someone sends you in a chat plays once, then takes you back to the conversation instead of sliding into the next one OPEN THE REAL APP, LAND IN THE CALM ONE Turn on interception and opening Instagram brings you to the filtered version instead. iOS enforces it with Screen Time, so it survives a reboot and cannot be killed in the background. DECIDE IN ADVANCE • Sleep Mode locks the apps overnight, on a window you set while you are not tired • Daily limits give each network a budget. Lowering one applies at once; raising one you have already spent waits until tomorrow • Schedules turn interception on for work hours, evenings or weekends • Strict Mode commits you to a window with no early exit SEE WHERE THE TIME WENT SocialZen shows how long you spend inside the filtered apps, per platform, per day. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION There is no account and no server. No analytics, no crash reporting, no ad SDK. Your logins belong to the sites themselves, exactly as they would in a browser, and SocialZen has no way to read them. Every number is computed on your device and stays there. FREE, AND PRO Every platform, every content filter, the scroll-stop and the ad blocking are free forever. Pro adds the enforcement and the depth: blocking the real apps, Sleep Mode, daily limits, unlimited schedules, a home-screen widget per network and thirty days of history. SocialZen Pro is an auto-renewable subscription. Monthly or yearly, billed to your Apple Account. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings. New users choosing the free plan can now enjoy a five-day Pro gift, with no subscription or automatic charge. Onboarding moves at your pace: tap anywhere on story screens to reveal the text, then continue when ready. We’ve also added clearer gift status and expiry messages, preserved your setup when the gift ends, and improved reliability. ### 1.7 — 2026-09-24 • Blocking several apps now works properly: the picker shows what's already blocked, and every app you pick is blocked — with a quick way to match each one. • Add the SocialZen widget during setup for one-tap access from your home screen. • Try Pro free for 3 days on the annual plan. • Fixes and improvements. ### 1.6 — 2026-09-21 Fixes ad measurement that wasn't running. Nothing you'll see in the app — this release makes SocialZen's advertising measurement actually work. It has been switched on but silently inert since 1.4, which meant we couldn't tell which ads bring people here. The privacy switch in Settings still turns all of it off. Prices are lower on both plans as of this week. ### 1.5 — 2026-09-16 Fixes app blocking not sticking after the first app. If you picked a second app to block, SocialZen didn't recognise it — no tick, and the block screen sent you to the Hub instead of opening that app's filtered version. It was still blocked, but it didn't look it and it didn't land where it should. Pick those apps again and they'll match properly now. Lower prices too: SocialZen Pro is cheaper on both plans, everywhere. ### 1.4 — 2026-09-14 The privacy switch in Settings now switches off the analytics SDKs themselves, not just SocialZen's own events. It reported as off before while collection carried on in the background — which is worse than no switch at all. SocialZen now reports to our advertising measurement when a trial or subscription starts, so we can stop paying for ads that don't bring anyone. It is never told what you look at inside the app, and the switch above turns this off too. Plus fixes and refinements across the filtered browser. ## Apps similar to SocialZen | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [Pivot - IRL](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/pivot-irl/id6760004980) | — | Free | Productivity | | [Contented](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/contented/id6741723678) | — | Free | Productivity | | [Subtext: AI Writing Assistant](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/subtext-ai-writing-assistant/id6736559861) | 4.9 (21) | Free | Productivity | | [Fabulous Daily Routine Planner](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/fabulous-daily-routine-planner/id1626707657) | 4.1 (7) | Free | Productivity | | [AI Chatbot & Assistant: Axon](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/ai-chatbot-and-assistant-axon/id6747702575) | 4.3 (73) | Free | Productivity | | [Limit Screen Time・Taskfulness](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/limit-screen-timetaskfulness/id1507694725) | 4.4 (81) | Free | Productivity | ## More apps by Christian Brown - [Zenith Tower: Idle Defense](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/zenith-tower-idle-defense/id6770016221) All apps by Christian Brown: https://appshunter.io/developer/1896708359 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
