Never get stuck and fast progression also no “one time use” items. When you think you would never have armor or weapons but you usually get more weapons than you go in with. This is my first review and only reviewed because it asked to review after I played a bit. ### 5/5 — Great game (and weird bug) *2019-12-17, version 1.2.45* Overall this game is really enjoyable. I'm usually not a fan of dungeon crawling or grinding games but this game is different. One weird issue I want to point out is that sometimes when I try to press a button, such as to exit a menu or such, the game seems to register that button press but the display doesn't. So if I press the exit button it doesn't visually exit the menu, but it will when I press again but then it would be as if I had pressed that area twice. It does interrupt gameplay flow for me and I would hate if I stopped because of that. ### 5/5 — App broken by iOS 13 *2019-12-05, version 1.2.45* I’m a late adopter for iOS updates but this morning I finally updated from 12 to 13 and much to my immense disappointment the update appears to have broken the game, the issue in question is constant freezing and frame drops, it’s essentially unplayable now. Please fix this issue, this is the only game I play on mobile. Between all 3 of my saves I have 185 hours poured into this game and I really want to keep playing it :( as the game is really quite good and I don’t mean good for a phone game, lately I have been playing the steam game and have about 40 hours into it so far but I don’t really have many opportunities to play the steam version. Please fix this devs please ### 4/5 — Issues on Apple Device *2019-10-22, version 1.2.45* This game is a lot of fun, and it's great that the game plays itself if you want. The only big issue that I have is there seems to be a delay on my iPhone. I had this game on a Droid, and there were no issues. But for some reason on my iPhone, I will tap something on the screen, but nothing will happen for a few seconds, and when I tap again, whatever I tapped initially will respond twice, usually canceling itself out. Now, after an update I can't even open the game! The game just completely freezes! ### 5/5 — Bug report *2019-08-29, version 1.2.45* First of all this game is awesome - its soda autodungeon. Epic music and tons of customizing. Satisfying progression However gameplay has been affected recently due to a bug where tapping the screen will issue a double tap, having screens close and open making it frustrating to equip characters and move from the inn to the dungeon. The bug happens every time I play and I have not figured out how to avoid it other than by outsmarting it. Hope this gets fixed so i can continue playing this fantastic game ### 5/5 — Great game one problem *2019-07-29, version 1.2.45* It’s a great game with many different monsters that you can fight and many different stages in each dungeon you can even upgrade your tavern and get better sodas to get better fighters you can even upgrade more stuff in the tavern it also has pvp and other dimensions where you can fight different bosses the one thing I don’t like is that you lose everything in your tavern when you go to the next dimension over all it makes for great game play and lots of fun ### 5/5 — Funny, addictive, fun game *2019-07-27, version 1.2.45* Can’t say enough good things about this game. I’ve been playing it on and off for years and feel a bit guilty that I haven’t reviewed it until now. Nothing has changed about this game for the worst; it’s sort of a strategy rpg game which I love. You move up to higher levels in a dungeon while trying to strategize with the best weapons and armor for different fighters, or “soda” addicts. You can add to the tavern to attract patrons to use for your dungeon crawling and earn money along the way to customize your tavern and buy items and upgrades. There’s so much more I haven’t touched on but that’s pretty much the gist of the game. It’s so entertaining and efinitely the best “time waster” (it’s still fun even when you’re not stuck waiting somewhere), that I’ve played. Give it a shot at the very least. Also should add it’s totally free and the ads are minimal and also optional if you want more cash. Props to the devs for creating an awesome game. ### 4/5 — Add this plz and game is awesome needs a few tweaks though *2019-06-28, version 1.2.45* New soda ideas:old carbon juice from find from a enemy or chest drop and constellation crush from the sun worshipper after you buy the sun temple .... new vendor he’s the sun worshipper I was talking about he will say when you talk to him help me worship ra please go talk to the SHOPKEEPER after you get that temple ... and oh yeah you get him once you get to ascension in the second dimension now back to what I was writing ... ple he sells the constellation crush and if you need help with the sprite do green eyes wearing a red robe with a hood he also wears put jeans for pants and tan skin.... new dungeon area(s):the storm Minor tweaks: add more funny jokes as the players go along to encourage them add different burp sounds add juke box to play music sound tracks you’ve discovered add better tips more scenery more story ### 5/5 — Awesome Game *2019-05-18, version 1.2.45* I played this game from beginning to end, have gone through every dimension and got every item/upgrade/relic etc.,. I can fairly say it is my favorite game on the App Store. It provided me with hours of entertainment and I’m still playing it a month later. What makes this game awesome is that you can use in game gold to remove banners/advertising; which I did. You literally don’t have to spend a dime to enjoy this game. Nonetheless, I would recommend buying something so the developers can keep developing. ### 5/5 — Definitely best game app *2019-04-15, version 1.2.45* This is one of these rare mobile games that I actually enjoy. But hey developers, I noticed that bosses are very easy to beat. Don’t you think you should make them very challenging? That’ll make them more awesomer than they looked. Imagine how you feel after beat an hundred of floors just to beat a weak boss? These also should come with awesomer rewards especially when if they became tougher. Great game though!! Thank you! ### 4/5 — Very interesting and cool, buuuuut.... *2019-04-04, version 1.2.45* The game is pretty neat, but the controls are pretty finicky (mainly any menu controls). I’m sorry, but I shouldn’t have to tap the screen twice for it to leave a menu, and before anyone thinks I’m just being lazy, the reason it shouldn’t “require” two taps is because more than half the time when I tap the screen the second time (which I have to do or nothing happens), it completely leaves the tavern, or when I’m in the dungeon, and try to open the settings, I have to click the settings button, then tap the screen where the settings shown up, or the settings screen will just flash and disappear. It’s just plain annoying that I have to tap the actual button and then tap the screen again to do practically anything in the game, and not even the ads are that annoying, it’s just the menus. ### 5/5 — Tips *2019-01-05, version 1.2.45* This game has been with more for a long time, and is always really fun to do if you are waiting. as you go on, it takes longer, I’ve found the best tactic is to just plug in your phone if possible and just let it run, checking it every once in a while. Usually starting from the very first level makes the journey a grueling task just fighting over and over, but the rewards are usually worth, and you can sell what you don’t want. Equip the best stuff you have, or whatever you think your characters would be best with, and sell the rest. I’ve found that the best teams consists of: 1 rouge, 1-3 medics, 1-3 darkmages. If you need gold fast, just change your date and time settings to tomorrow, and come claim the banker, don’t spend any of it, and repeat, if you don’t spend any of the bankers money, he increases what he gives back. That’s all I can think of off the top of my mind, but thanks for reading this, and thank you developers for making this game, and working on a sequel. ### 5/5 — Amazing game!! *2018-12-29, version 1.2.44* I’ve downloaded the game a few times... I also have it on my laptop and I have to say it’s one of my favorite games. The first couple of times I played it I had no idea of what was going on or what I was doing. But now that I’ve actually tried I’ve been doing much better than the other few times I’ve played. I’m very much addicted to this game and have been playing for like 3 hours straight now and get my nose out of my phone. Definitely a recommendation to all you!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 2/5 — Buttons/Menus too sensitive! *2020-06-26, version 1.2.45* It’s super frustrating! It feels like touching any menu or button with > 1 atom of my finger or for > 1 ms things immediately open then close. It is incredibly frustrating trying to interact with this otherwise GREAT game- it takes like 10 attempts to toggle auto combat to the desired state as an example, but all menus are acting the same way- it is such a chore just to kit out my guys or exit a menu without leaving the tavern or accidentally entering the dungeon screen. I even tried turning down touch sensitivity on my iPhone SE’s accessibility menu to no avail- it’s like the game doesn’t honor this setting so I can’t fix it :( ### 2/5 — CRASH cola conspiracy *2018-08-04, version 1.2.44* Love the game. But every other commercial it crashes and I loose up to an hour of game play that is aggravating. It's happened about thirty+ times. Five star without constant CRASHING. 1st edit- CRASHED 10 times (Not including Xing out of commercial CRASHES) in 8 hours of pretty aggressive/aggravating play after i successfully watched their advertisement, making long hauls for loot collecting impossible. It's guaranteed I see the whole commercial all the way to the end. !!BUT!! if I skip or X-out it CRASHES. If you don't, it's about one in three chances it will CRASH. It has only recorded 3-ish hours of play in those 8 hours due to CRASHING. It's not that powerful of a game to be CRASHING this bad. 2nd edit- I'm taking two stars off my original review. 3rd edit- sssoooooooo much CRASHING. I hate enjoying the game and having to play it four times over to progress. Next CRASH here I come let's see if I can make dungeon level 300, again, in 50 hours of game play. (Only 20ish hours recorded). ### 3/5 — Love the game but it’s starting to act up *2018-11-25, version 1.2.44* Okay so when I get on Soda Dungeon I collect my coins from the bank then I get back off to play later but when I do get back on the coins that I have gotten from my bank is no longer there. It’s back in the bank. This is ridiculous, the game doesn’t save AT ALL! Not only THAT but when the heroes die from battle they ask me if I want to revive them, I press yes to watch the ads but it doesn’t do that. It doesn’t revive me at all, it send me back to tavern even though I clicked yes. This is very disappointing, please fix this situation. It’s been like this for months! ### 3/5 — Game is pretty good with some major flaws *2018-04-01, version 1.2.42* This is a good dungeon crawl game. Humorous with great 8 bit graphics. After playing through 3 dimensions there are two major flaws which are probably stopping me from continuing. The biggest flaw is the ad playing mechanism. You depend on ads to double your bank interest ,and most importantly, to revive your whole party once an hour. Unfortunately, often it freezes when trying to retrieve and play an ad. So you lose your ability to raise your party, must force quit, and you are spawned back at the tavern. Very disappointing. The second thing is that it’s very difficult to gain reputation after dimension 2 if you’ve already bought most of the Tavern items. Other minor flaws is that in the special comedy dimension, if it’s more difficult than the regular dungeon, why is the loot the same drop as the regular dungeon? Lastly, it would have been nice if I was told to spend all my gold before leaving dimension 1. It wasn’t completely clear what would carry over and what would not when you go to the higher dimension. I feel in app purchase offers are completely reasonable, but the ad freeze when trying to revive the party once an hour has been so bad, I probably won’t be continuing. ### 3/5 — Fun game early on *2017-11-05, version 1.2.41* The game is fun in the first dimension. The progression is good, you get new gear at a decent rate as well as new characters and upgrades for your tavern. After the first dimension, however, it starts to go down hill. Within the first probably 20 levels you get lvl2 of the gear you got in the first dimension which makes sense. But even after level 100, heck even 200 In the second dimension you're still getting only lvl 2 gear or basic gear which will not help you whatsoever. Even in dimension 3 past level 100 you still get basic or lvl 2 gear. The game difficulty progresses more quickly than the gear you get which makes it difficult and just another grind game. I'm not saying make it easy but a broader selection of gear especially past dimension 2 would be better. ### 4/5 — Just listens to the recent reviews if you can. *2023-07-19* It’s been months since I played this game and I keep trying to play it during those months and it always kicks me out due to a single bug. (PS I added 4 stars out of 5 if you need morale support) ### 4/5 — Fun time killer *2020-07-30, version 1.2.45* This game is great for just setting up on auto and letting run itself while you feel like multitasking. I can spend a minute or two setting up a party and let them dungeon dive to build up gold while I go about some other task for 25-35 mins or so. The only notable downside would be that the “gardenscape” and “homescape” series ads tend to freeze up the game without providing their reward (such as gold doubling or party revival. After the 30 second ads finish running and the X to close button can be selected, the ad disappears, but the game is stuck displaying AD LOADING. The ads have two closing X buttons layered on top of each other. ### 4/5 — Excellent game with a good balance *2020-05-04, version 1.2.45* No hard content or time locks behind a paywall. You do not need to spend weeks/months grinding to unlock stuff for free. It is a case of “pay to be impatient”. I use an older phone so I experience problems. (Banners while in a dungeon lag horribly, end dungeon ads would sometimes lock up, auto attack will randomly stop, and buttons behave as though they were double or triple pressed.) However I still feel the game is a wonderful piece of work. ### 4/5 — How is this a free to play MOBILE game? *2020-04-12, version 1.2.45* This game is beautiful, straight up beautiful. For a free-to-play mobile game, it has incredibly impressed me throughout my time with it. While, (of course) there’s problems, there are (almost) overshadowed by the true brain boggle of this being such a good game. While crashing and being overall finicky at times is not uncommon, the game is so accessible that usually, you’re not the one noticing them. While the “freemium” aspect was still there, it isn’t shoved down your throat like many other mobile games out there. Though I wish there were more options in the menu (either one). For example, more sound options. The music is fantastic but the sound effects while fighting are so obnoxiously loud. While the game isn’t necessarily “addicting”, it’s so easy just to grab some tavern members and turn auto battle on and turn it off when things get tricky. Though I would love to get into more detail of what could be improved, in short, this games amazing! By the way, the music is surprisingly fantastic. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Rest In Peace *2022-10-18, version 1.2.45* This game is no longer supported for modern iOS, and apparently can’t be updated to be able to, this is a legendary game and I’m sad to see it go, one of the few mobile games I would earnestly say you should spend money one, because they make it your choice to do so, there’s even an option to buy no ads, WITH INGAME BASE CURRENCY, not even an excessive amount either, it was amazing ### 5/5 — Crashes before title! *2022-06-30, version 1.2.45* A lot of people have said this but when I try and load the game to play, it crashes before the title screen. Because of this I can’t be enjoyed by the game. On older versions the game is fine but if you updated your phone or iPad to the newest version it crashes. If you wonder why I gave it a five star review, it’s because my friend has an iPad that won’t update so I’ve seen the gameplay and know I’ll love it if I have the chance to play it. ### 5/5 — Best strategy rpg game *2022-01-07, version 1.2.45* I grew up playing this and when I got to level 100 and killed the final boss i thought I was done turns out more bosses not very shocking but left my mouth open the farthest I got was level 250? I think the level 200 drill boss was insanely challenging and hard but I beat him I am glad about the wizard so you can pretty much teleport me wherever I want to go. If you are bored of rpg games this Is the one for you. ### 5/5 — Eh should be better. *2021-10-12, version 1.2.45* I hate when games just let you get a little stronger die and rerun. Once you die it should be game over as I do with any game. It just doesn't have any penalty for dying so why even have it in the game. You literally go as far as you can die and repeat. It is fun but just doesn't have any challenge at all. Edit- I gave 5 stars I love the game but I always start from level 1 each time I die. I will never use the Wizard to warp only time I warp is if I pick a door and it warps during the game. I wish the game was much more difficult. Still a fun fun game very addictive. Also one last thing. I hate how if you use auto battle(I do everytime) your Brawler uses his special from the very start. This is ok now that I have healers with MPs but at the start it sucked. I an done ranting amazing game nonetheless. ### 5/5 — Love the game but *2021-10-01, version 1.2.45* I gave it a 5star rating because i love the game, but suddenly whenever i load the game up, it kicks me off the game. Ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it did the same thing. I turned my phone off and back on with the same issue. I even signed out of game center on my phone in order to see if it helped any but it didnt. But beware IT IS ADDICTING!!!! ### 5/5 — An anticipated arrival *2020-07-13, version 1.2.45* I played the first game when I was like in 6th or 7th grade (now I’m a sophomore going to junior) and when I did, I was a little nervous because I didn’t know how the game would be, but after 3 hours of playing, I fell in love with everything, from the types of characters, to the different sodas, to the cool and retro feel of gaming. When SD2 came out, I instantly downloaded the game, and after a while of hardcore gaming, I fell in love AGAIN! Everything from the crafting system to the funny dialogue, to the new cool relics, even the funny janitor miniboss was cool. SD2 was worth the wait, even if some of the old items I love aren’t in the game, I found that this game was more than what it seems and so I want to thank the people behind the development, story, graphics, everything for bringing me into the world of Soda Dungeon, and thank you for making a masterpiece of a sequel and honoring the O.G. ### 5/5 — A must try! *2020-06-10, version 1.2.45* I feel guilty for just now reviewing this game, but I’ve honestly fallen in love with this app. It’s amazing and the art style is beautiful and gives the sense of an old timey RPG. It’s simple yet creative and the ads are minimal which I love. I also love that they offer an endgame way to achieve “ad free” without having to pay real money. I actually have thrown a few dollars here and there towards this game because I enjoy it and feel like supporting the developers for making an awesome game. Personal story: I was sick in the hospital a few years ago with Lyme’s Disease. I was always tired, slept a lot, but still wanted something low-impact to play on my phone. Soda Dungeon was that game. It got me through a very difficult time, so I kicked the developers a few bucks even though they never forced me to pay. If you’re reading this, Soda Dungeon devs, thank you. ### 5/5 — Great but... *2020-03-16, version 1.2.45* I think this game is great but on my phone it keep crashing and not just on my phone but my tablet too! When I played the game earlier on that same tablet it worked great and the game was awesome. But now it just crashes randomly and I think it’s a run time error that must be fixed. This hasn’t been working on any of my devices for over a year now and I’ve just been playing it on the computer where it works great.
