## What is Soft Landing for Hard Days?

Soft Landing is a small daily companion for anyone going through a hard stretch, from someone who has been there.

A loss, a change, a season that knocks the wind out of you. One place you can trust when the day is heavy.

You open the app. You get one small thing for today. Keep it if it helps, or set it down. The app makes nothing of either choice.

That is the whole app.

WHAT THE OFFERING LOOKS LIKE

A hundred quiet cards, drawn one a day, across four kinds of small returns:

Body. A breath, a wrist rinse, a chair you can fold into for five minutes. Cards that bring you back into a body that has been on display all day.

Permission. The dishes can wait one more night. The meeting can move. The fold of the blanket does not have to be the perfect one. Cards that name the small choices you are already allowed to make.

Reframe. The urgency is not real. You have already survived this percentage of hard days. Tired is a fact, not a flaw. Cards that hold the kind of sentence you would say to a friend you loved.

Environment. Open the window for sixty seconds. Change one piece of clothing. Light the candle. Fold one blanket. Cards that move one small thing in the room around you.

Each card carries a short body of copy in plain witness voice, and a collapsable Notes section where Drew (the human who built this) shares what happened when he tried it himself. Tap to fold the Notes if you do not need them today. The card is yours either way.

WHAT THE APP REFUSES TO DO

No streaks. No badges. No guilt notifications. No retention hooks. No accounts. No sign in. No data collection. No third party SDK. No ad targeting. No subscription pressure. Crisis tools are never gated behind a purchase, and tips are an optional gratitude jar, never a paywall.

You can use Soft Landing for one minute and never come back. The app will not chase you. That is the design.

GRATITUDE JAR

Four optional tips in Settings, named after the small things that come back online during recovery: A small ritual ($1.99), A bit of weight set down ($4.99), A real wrap around ($9.99), A light coming back ($19.99). Sixty percent of the net proceeds goes to Give an Hour, a 501(c)(3) public charity that matches volunteer mental health professionals with people who cannot otherwise afford therapy. Every tenth tip, the whole remainder goes to Give an Hour instead of the sixty percent split. Donations transparency lives at sillydroose.com/donations/softlanding.

A NOTE ON SAFETY

Soft Landing is mental health adjacent. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and makes no clinical claims. Settings carries crisis lines (988, Crisis Text, SAMHSA, NAMI, Veterans), therapist finders, and sliding scale resources. If today is a hard day, please use them. They are not failure. They are tools that worked when I needed them.

WHO MADE THIS

I am Drew. I built Soft Landing because I needed it. I have been the person on a hard day opening apps that ask for too much, charge for things that should be free, and hand back guilt for skipping a day. This is not that. One small thing a day. Keep it if it helps, set it down if it doesn't.

Thank you for being here.
