You get everything right here.... from a coach’s email or phone number, to the average ACT score of their students. It helps choose the right place because it gives so much information including the average salary of their graduating seniors. Very helpful at Showcase events to access teams conference and cost of education at the school. This app never crashes and coaches info and links are always current. I’m a travel coach and college recruiter. The highly accurate info has really helped me know the name and school info of the college coach I find myself talking to. My preferred Softball App. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — WAS a great app *2026-06-12* This was the most amazing…helpful app when my daughter was in her recruiting era. Now that the transfer portal is open you cannot use the app. I am not sure if it’s something to do with Apple ID because I sign in using Apple ID. But the app is not functioning and it was functioning right up until the transfer portal opened so I find it very strange. **Developer response:** Thank you for your honesty, and I’m truly sorry. You were caught in the middle of an issue that temporarily prevented many of our users from logging in. It was the most difficult experience we’ve faced as a small, independent development team, and while the issue has now been resolved, we know that doesn’t erase the frustration it caused. If Softball Bound was valuable to you before this outage, I have one small favor to ask. Would you consider updating your review to reflect your overall experience with the app rather than this temporary interruption? Thank you for your patience, your support, and for giving us the opportunity to earn your trust back. ### 1/5 — Slow *2019-10-15* Very slow when searching for schools. Very slow! Update: They claim to have corrected issues with “updates” but that is not the case. I have also found that when they update with new coaches names, the schools in your favorites, do NOT update. It still shows the old coaches. What a disgrace!!! But I’m sure it will be fixed in the next “update”. **Developer response:** These issues have either never existed or are addressed in our latest versions. Favorites are updated with the latest information available and have been since a very early version of the app. Is it possible that you are using an ios10 device and haven't been able to update the app? Worthless. It had promise the only time I used it. ### 2/5 — Glitches *2018-03-29, version 1.4.7* Great Information but my app always freezes and kicks me out of the app. ### 3/5 — Can’t access account *2026-06-07, version 3* Usually my go to app for my daughter’s recruiting journey but recently can’t access my account ### 4/5 — For the money *2019-12-14* As a parent looking to be as informed as possible this app is adequate. I pay for NCSA, CaptainU, and others which allow contact video and other benefits. This is a quick reference for a school your child might be visiting or talking to via tournaments. This is not a recruiting app this is an info app on colleges that you may be interested in! The info is more up to date compared to above mentioned recruiting programs and does give you email if you want send direct emails with video to the head coach. I appreciate the developer responding quickly. I removed the app and downloaded it again. It’s now working. Thank you for your responsiveness. **Developer response:** We really hate to hear this. The app is a passion project for our team. We know that if the database of schools is downloading and a search is performed, and a school selected before that time, it can result in the experience you are talking about. Could you do us a favor and remove/delete the app and reinstall it from the app store? I really do love the app, however, it would be great to have some sort of customer service function or contact us info. There was recently a glitch with the app. I had no way to know it was a systemwide glitch. I thought it was a problem that just I was experiencing. After many attempts to try to resolve my login issues (trying to reset password or create a new account) and much frustration, I submitted a negative review. Eventually I received an email (to all app subscribers) that the issues had been fixed and I was successfully able to login and begin reusing the app. However, communication up front that there was a problem and/or having a way to communicate would’ve been helpful. My negative review eventually received a reply and asking that I consider updating my review if I had previously had good experience with the app. So I am changing my 1 star review to a 5 star review. **Developer response:** Thank you for your honesty, and I’m truly sorry.
