## Newest reviews (12 of 38)

### 4/5 — All good except news area

*2025-07-31*

Definitely helpful and a very good tool, however the news section definitely needs to be updated as the most recent news I find is from 2023

### 3/5 — Help!

*2024-10-14*

I can’t use the app every time I try to login it gives me an error message so I tried making a new account but still the same thing happens!!

### 3/5 — It’s a good app that has helped in dark times, but it no longer works

*2024-09-30*

After I had come out to my parents the app stopped showing up on my iPad, and now when I find this app again it won’t let me log in or make a new account

### 4/5 — Good Intentions Needs Improvement

*2024-04-04*

Just popped in to ask can y’all update the news section? I want to come here for trans news and that’s the main reason I have the app but it hasn’t been updated in a year while a lot has been happening. It’s nice to have that little affirmation after the article of “sorry this is happening but you are loved. We are still fighting.” Tell me how we are fighting. What are we fighting against? Give me solace. Is the resources spread too tight for this app to get any attention? I’m probably going to delete it to make space bc I can google most of this easily. I’m also non-binary and I understand just allowing access to both sides but now it’s pretty cluttered. Maybe ask me some questions so you can filter out the articles that pop up?

### 3/5 — Helpful but basically advertising at this point

*2023-06-24*

I’ll start by saying this app has been helpful for me to some extent, and that’s why it’s not rated 1*.

But seriously it’s an ad for their banking app Bliss, and in fact is being sunsetted in favor of integrating everything into Bliss. Bliss requires opening a bank account to use it, which I don’t need. I have a bank account and will not open a new one. So unfortunately once the merge happens, I’ll just stop using it.

### 4/5 — Great Resource

*2021-04-03*

This is a great resource for finding a lot of necessary information quickly in a short amount of time, and I love being able to access relevant news articles away from the white noise of social media and pop up ads.

I do use it as a checklist to keep certain goals in focus as far as my own timeline goes, but I do wish there was a more comprehensive directory of gender clinics in the US.

Overall, a great app! Will continue to use it well into my transition.

### 4/5 — Name/Email Changes needed

*2021-01-07, version 2.2*

Since your name may change a few times as you go thru transition, that REALLY needs to be added to the app.

### 3/5 — Needs more gender neutral options

*2020-11-12*

As a non-binary person, I think this app is great for binary trans people, not so much for enbies. Even though I don’t use neopronouns myself, I think you should add options for them and the option for someone to use multiple pronouns, even if it’s he/they and she/they, that would be more inclusive. There is heavy binary language used as well. Besides that, I really like the base of this app. I think it can go far!!

### 3/5 — A good foundation

*2020-10-30*

I love this idea and I’m glad there’s an app already out for it. Developers have been working on an app called Transcapsule for a while and it’s still not out, so this works in the mean time. However, this is is still SUPER built for people who are transitioning within the binary. Other than pronoun designation, there’s not much about being non-binary/genderfluid/genderqueer which I found to be disappointing. Also it would be great to have the ability to change your name as some people go through multiple name changes before settling on one permanently. Lastly, having the ability to diary/journal your emotions, thoughts, upload voice memos, photos, videos, etc. would be really great for those who are medically transitioning and wanting to track that process. There are mental health tracking apps that provide charts and easy “check-ins” that could serve as an outline for things like this within this app that have been tailored more towards trans folx and experiences.

Looking forward to what’s coming next! Thanks for such an amazing idea and producing it!

### 4/5 — Hey!

*2020-07-31*

Personally I love this, it’s really helpful for me (I’m a minor who hasn’t come out to anyone except for one of my friends) but I also have a couple suggestions for the app.I feel like being able to change your name would be a rly nice idea for the app I haven’t found a name for myself that I’m comfortable using so I instead used a nickname of mine but some people don’t have that and having to pick a name on the spot is hard, being able to track your progress would be nice a example of what I mean is having a notes section In the app where you can write down things like a diary adding photos would be nice too!Another thing I thought that would be nice is having a section telling you to take care of yourself (idk I thought it would be cute).Little tips would also be nice and just having little achievements(finding the right name, coming out to a friend ).Of course these are just some small suggestions sorry if this wasn’t as constructive as I hoped! The app rn is rly good and recommend it for other trans folk!! hopewhoeverisreadingthishasanicedaythankyoubye.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2020-04-11, version 1.4*

It’s a brilliant idea but would be much better if it didn’t cater only to Americans, I understand why as it has lots of state specific information but it would be nice if others in different countries like myself could use it too

### 2/5 — Canada

*2020-03-04, version 1.4*

This app has no options for provinces only states yet is in the Canadian App Store

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — MY ACCOUNT IS GONE

*2025-02-09*

Had an account for about a week and things were fine, but I tried logging in today and it’s as if my account was deleted or something. I try to make an account again but for some reason it gives me sole sort of error when I make it. Gonna stop using this app until this gets fixed

### 1/5 — Somewhat useful..but

*2024-11-17*

I found this by accident and wanted to believe it might help (those in) the community. I wasn't impressed from the start; deleted shortly after downloading.. let me tell you why ..
1. I couldn't get past the log on
2. It (seems to want to) only recognized those who might be MfF or FtM; I'm intersex .. so you can see where it would be useless for me.
3. But on a factual note - the person who noted "there's no federal document that would show a correct gender" - start applying for a passport - it gives an "X" option for gender - it might help, but other countries are not required to honor the selection. Hope this gives some a starting point. Leyla

### 1/5 — Won’t allow me to register as a new user

*2024-10-19*

I used to have this app a couple years ago, it was pretty good back then but I wasn’t in a position to be able to pursue a lot of my transition goals so I deleted it. Now I’m in a better place and wanted to use this app to help me organize my goals. BUT I can’t register as a new user because the screen that has you select your goals is bugged. It won’t show the goals at all and the app requires you to select one goal at minimum to create your account. I’ve tried deleting the app and redownloading it and closing it and coming back a few days later. The whole situation is just irritating. I don’t want to have to play email tag to get app support on an app that hasn’t even been updated in a year.

### 1/5 — Trouble getting started

*2024-10-19*

I guess there were just too many (.) in my email, so the app wouldn't let me put my "goals" .. of course it also won't allow me to go further with your registration..sad, but true.
It's sad because there are so many hurdles for us in the trans community..I'd like to think that an app "designed" for trans people would actually work. I'll never know if it was a minor issue or just a glitch with my phone, because I deleted the app. I guess I might get an email, but I'm not optimistic at this point.

### 1/5 — i don’t live in USA

*2022-08-07, version 4.0*

what a disappointing app

### 1/5 — Decent resources. Bad business plan

*2021-02-19, version 2.3*

Being trans is expensive but sure, I’ll pay $25/month for cologne samples and a Starbucks gift card, that’s what being non-binary is all about after all

### 1/5 — Incomplete :(

*2020-10-28, version 2.2*

There was only advice for people who want to transition to be “socially female.” I’m AFAB non-binary and just undergone a double mastectomy so this was very disappointing to find out.

### 1/5 — Not for non-binary people

*2020-09-05*

I opened this app and within 30 seconds I could tell it wasn’t for me. There are only three pronoun options (which isn’t a deal-breaker on its own), but they’re on a slider where you go from she/her (pink) to he/him (blue) with they/them in between. Using they/them pronouns doesn’t mean you’re non-binary, and using she or he doesn’t mean you are binary. And the colors, is this 1950? On the next screen the goals call out specifically “men’s” and “women’s”. It’s fine if this app is just for binary trans folks but call that out in the marketing so non-binary people don’t get their hopes up.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-06-16, version 1.4*

Was really excited to use this app until it told me I could not use it if I was outside of the US

### 2/5 — Missing Pronoun Options for Enby Folx

*2020-11-19*

I don’t want to hate on an app that’s meant to benefit the trans community, but I feel like this app has some enormous oversights that will ultimately drive away the majority of its clientele. As a demiboy, I use he/they pronouns, so I couldn’t even get past the initial pronouns option. They only had binary pronouns and they/them. It was disappointing before I even got INTO the app. I love what this app claims to offer, but as it is it doesn’t make me feel seen; I know others would feel the same way. (Anyone who uses neopronouns would be ENTIRELY out of luck here.)

Considering that this is supposed to be an app made for the trans community, you would expect some sensitivity to different identities and combinations of pronouns. It’s too bad. With some tweaks, I would totally download this!! But as it is now? :/ No thanks.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very Informative

*2023-07-10*

Honestly this is totally informative and it makes navigating my transitioning so much easier instead of going in completely blind especially when you don’t have a support line or much support. Thanks for making it easier for all ❤️

### 5/5 — Great idea that is unfortunately US only

*2021-08-20, version 3.0*

This app will be useful to people around the world but is currently region locked. I understand the difficulty of scouring through the legal codes of so many countries is a difficult job, so I hope that the developers expand their business so they can offer this to more people.

### 5/5 — My Heart

*2021-05-15*

I needed this so much. I hope they keep making it better, AND I’m a big fan of whats here, the information bank here is deep. Like wow.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-04-09*

I love this app. It has helped me immensely to keep track of my transition and let me know what steps to take next. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2021-04-03, version 2.3*

I didn’t know much about state laws and their regards to transition and this helped me understand how I can work for my personal goals.

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2021-01-22, version 2.3*

This app is amazing!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2020-11-06*

This is a really helpful app and it’s an awesome resource, especially from transgender people. One thing for improvement should be to make goals partially complete/in progess.

### 5/5 — OMG! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

*2020-10-19, version 2.1*

This is literally one of the BEST LGBTQ apps I've ever had! There's stuff about coming out, Coronavirus, your rights, and so much more. I definitely recommend this app 100000%

### 5/5 — Amazing...

*2020-01-09, version 1.2*

So so so Helpful, thank you so much for this💜

### 5/5 — Much needed!!! One suggestion!

*2020-01-05*

Creators of this app: as a trans man and a social worker and therapist for other trans folks, thank you! What a wonderful resource to be able to use/recommend!

I wonder if there can be a “Know Your Rights” and corresponding legal help section for each state for things like police harassment, incarceration, employment discrimination, adoptions, education systems, etc.

Again, thank you for this.
