I will certainly check back and update my review. All the best! __________ Original Review: I really wanted to like this App, especially given all the great reviews. However, for me, the Graphics and Colors are disorganized and too intense. As well, I didn’t like the background images where the Alerts were. The images took away from the written information, as well as drawing your focus away from the icons at the top and even dulling one of the icons at the bottom that I initially thought was just a part of the graphics. Then the graphics with the huge Sun coming into focus, etc. I’m so sorry, but it was just too much for me. This App has a lot of great information. It just needs a huge UI cleanup. Reported tonapple ### 1/5 — Very confusing interface and hard to only receive critical alerts *2024-08-12* The interface looks very high quality but there are buttons all over the place and besides the ones at the top, they are difficult to figure out what they will show without clicking each one individually and that is very time consuming. Instead maybe if they just stated in a word(s) what they will show? I only want to know critical alerts but everyday I receive what they categorize as a “critical alert” only to find out that it is referring to a “moderate event”?! So it’s a case of the boy who cried wolf, whenever I receive critical alerts from this app now I usually ignore them because they do not correspond to critical or extreme events, just moderate ones, which actually defeats the which actually defeats the whole purpose! Actually as I am writing this I am receiving one right now! I've been using it for like 3 months now and I learn something new every day. What I love most is that solar plasma monitor - sounds super technical but it's actually fascinating to see solar flares in real time. My 10-year-old son gets mesmerized watching the "explosions" lol. The notifications are great, they alert me when there are going to be auroras and I've already gotten some incredible photos thanks to that. The panels with all the scientific data look complicated at first but once you get the hang of it it's like having NASA info on your phone. I mainly use it to know when there will be good auroras for photography, but I've also become a bit addicted to checking the "space weather" - who would have thought the sun had so many moods 😂 The app is super smooth and you can tell it's made with love. The visual effects when there's solar activity are brutal. If you like astronomy or you're just curious about space, definitely try it.
