But now the solar WiFi dongle shows offline and will not connect at all . So it’s bricked or on the account that now does not exist and still can’t reset it . What junk . Starting plans move away if this is not resolved soon ### 1/5 — Sen *2023-10-26, version 2.0.4* Epever gone in reverse direction with this app. Very Very poor app. Load power is the most important parameter in consumer end and this parameter is removed. Generation income statistics don’t work, real time PV , battery voltage, battery capacity curves not there!!!. Very awful app. When trying to add one of my inverter, the app keep saying “device already exists “ . I used to like epever hardware. Now since the Bluetooth technology is everywhere and I completely wasted money on a device that isn’t even 6 months old that I can’t use because they can’t seem to write a simple application to use it. Just awful. ### 1/5 — Just simply doesn’t work. *2023-07-15* The older epever apps were a pain, this one is impossible. It would not connect to the bluetooth or wifi wireless modules. I tried to at least two hours before just using the PC application. The version of this program for the PC doesn't work either. Epsolar makes some good products, i use 4 of solar controllers. Created an account then locked out saying invalid email address, then tried to reset password only to be told that I needed a verification code that never arrives when requested!! When it works, it’s OK. Shame, because the 7180BP charge controller seems nice. **Developer response:** We sincerely apologize that our product has failed to meet your expectations. If you encounter any further problems, please send your feedback to support@epever.com. ### 1/5 — You have to re-add your systems every time they do an update *2024-07-27* You have to add your systems every time they do an update! ### 1/5 — Awful software updates *2024-07-26, version 2.1.1* Do this company even test their updates. Previously an update on EPEVER Pair software basically bricked the app for iPhone users and I could not connect to my mppt for months. Now after only a few weeks after finding new software Solar Guardian that was working until latest update I again cannot connect via Bluetooth. Spend the extra money and get Victron. ### 1/5 — Broke it again… *2024-06-26* Every few months they update the app, and break it with no UX designers to inform the public how to make it work. It’s unfortunate, as Epever makes a good product, but their development team don’t seem to know how application development works in a professional environment. Gives Chinese software development a really bad name. Victron has lowered their prices so much and manage to update their app without breaking connectivity, so there really isn’t a good reason to choose Epever now. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I rely on this heavily *2025-06-27* This is a great app. I lets me see what my EPEVER solar charge controllers are doing on daily and historical basis. It gives me piece of mind when I am not around to know my solar is working. ### 5/5 — Finally! *2024-03-26* Seems like after a couple of apps and attempt they finally got a good functional app for Bluetooth connection. Speed of connection is much faster and the range has even seemed to increase as I was not able to connect from another room previously. Nice work. ### 5/5 — Great for Bluetooth on Tracer AN charge controller *2024-02-10* I have an Epever Tracer AN 30A charge controller and I have been using the RS435 port wire-connected to a Windows computer to program/monitor it. Not very convenient and the app is not very user friendly. Got the Bluetooth adapter, downloaded this app for my iPhone and easily got it connected. No registration required for Bluetooth (“Local Connection “). The app is excellent, with clear displays for real-time data, and several other displays for the settings. The only odd thing is that when the app first starts up the “current setting” may not be correct. To make sure you have the correct current setting you need to hit the “Read” button at the bottom of the page. Why doesn’t this happen automatically when the app connects to the Tracer? It was also like this on the Windows app. To change settings you type in the new values in the current setting field and then hit the “Apply” button at the bottom of the page. There is also a “Reset” button. Not sure what this will do. ### 5/5 — Aplicación Guardián Solar Internal server error *2023-10-29* Saludos a todos. Recientemente la aplicación Guardián Solar dejó de trabajar en mi iPhone cuando trato de verla online. Solo la puedo monitorear en forma local. El mensaje que me envía es el siguiente: Internal Server Error. Por lo demás la califico 5 estrellas. My version is working fine. ### 3/5 — Mr coles *2026-05-28, version 2.2.5* I got this for my duo racer, it finds the starter battery and monitors it just fine but the leisure battery does not exist according to the app which is unfortunate cos thats what is most important. You do not need to sign up as you can use local Bluetooth to connect . It does not seem to update without restarting the app ive had victron before and that was much better. The controller seems to work fine but the app is very random for such a big company. Needs work. B- must try harder ### 3/5 — It’s ok *2026-02-01, version 2.2.5* Not the greatest looking app. But functional. There is a start up bug - if there is no WiFi/data signal, the app hangs when started. If you are just using Bluetooth connectivity, that won’t work until data signal is found. Please fix this. ### 3/5 — Excellent in principle, but still quite buggy *2023-12-15, version 2.0.8* New app is much improved, well done Epever! However, the app is still very buggy which is a real shame as the new layout and features are quite good. Curve analysis on local connection sometimes shows battery voltage at 3x or 4x what it actually is (you can imagine my panic first time this happened). Data analysis often shows missing data at the end of the line graph. The window (where you click on the line graph) often has missing items. Real time analysis doesn’t refresh properly. Quite a few other bugs, but I’m just listing what I encountered the last time I used it. One final request to the Epever team: Please allow the Solar Guardian PC app to connect via WiFi (without a cable). We know this is possible as YouTube videos show people using a TCP to Serial emulator (without any problems), but you seem to have disabled this feature with updates to the WiFi adapters. ### 3/5 — Disappointing *2023-07-04* The EPEVER app UI was better. This is very difficult to set up and use for local Wi-Fi. Create an account, go offline, find your device. You finally get in and the real time data doesn’t refresh, it’s all text based. Looks like an early 2000’s app. I’m happy with the performance of my Epever solar charge controller but monitoring leaves a lot to be desired. Considering switching to Victron just because the monitoring is way better. ### 2/5 — Toujours besoin de se reconnecter *2025-06-07, version 2.2.0* Pas de refrech, donc tours besoin de se reconnecter quand le téléphone réduit l’app ou tombe en veille.
