Other apps will show you your solar production, but won't proactively notify you of system failure, or tell you how your actual production compares against the pre-sales promises made by your installer. Only SolarView app provides these proactive capabilities and more in the full Pro version. Although this free version does not include the proactive and custom reporting features, it still provides you with easy access to view your current production as well as view production graphs and data by month and by year. SolarView is the only genuinely proactive monitoring service for SolarEdge systems with email and text notifications. The SolarView mobile app provides a compact and convenient self-monitoring mobile app, with or without the proactive monitoring service. I bought it before I understood the mySolarEdge app. You get that one for free and it’s just as good. I refer to both the SolarEdge PC and iPhone app way more then I do with this one. Liked the free app so much I opted for the subscription. Speaking of, all the useful features are unavailable without a paid subscription (comparison with estimates, notifications, etc.). If you are willing to pay $3/mo and don't care about the user experience, this app might just be for you. **Developer response:** If you do not want the advanced features, the SolarEdge app has the basic features for free. It’s user friendly. It explains step by step how to get the API key from SolarEdge. I love that I am able to view all of my solar system’s stats on one page. The app sends me texts if there are problems with my system, which is something that other monitoring apps do not provide.
