For use with Solid GPS Tracking Device. Solid GPS was born out of a need. When my Trent’s neighbourhood was hit by a series of burglaries, the thought of him losing his motorcycle kept him up at night. In a bid to protect his asset he searched the internet for a suitable GPS tracker. Unfortunately he was met with poor results. Every device he found had something lacking. Some were too expensive or still used the old 2G network. Others would only work within a small radius, had limited battery life and weren’t portable. Those that looked promising didn’t receive great reviews, had fake reviews and broke down before they could be used. So Trent asked himself “why can’t I just find a portable GPS Tracker that just works?” And that’s when the idea of building his own GPS tracker came to him. After a long development period, Solid GPS released its first iteration and has slowly been developing and improving the hardware and software. Only charged once and it says 55% remaining. (Previous one would not register half the movements, battery ran out after a month. It was hit and miss.) ### 5/5 — Solid GPS works perfectly *2026-04-24* Solid GPS works perfectly. The size is great — small enough to tuck away out of sight easily — and the waterproofing is solid. I've got my phone set up to automatically turn the volume up and alert me whenever I get a text from Solid GPS, so I never miss an update. Reliable, does exactly what it promises. Highly recommend. ### 2/5 — Poor app for good device *2025-01-04* Device is good, but app is very poor. Does not support larger than default iPhone text size (buttons move off screen and become unreachable). The app only shows a few location points, often several days old, but if you download a log file there are many more. Frustrating to see where your device is (have to scroll around the map looking for the marker). Great that it is has its own stand alone power which enable it to be hidden with no wire trails to it. Well priced and the ongoing annual cost are reasonable and competitive with other brands. The service & Support is outstanding with very quick responses to any concerns or issues you may have. If ordered from Solid GPS the team sets up your tracker and account so all you have to do is download the SolidGPS App and enter the details emailed to you. Turn your tracker on once you receive it and away you go.
