## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-26

Nutrition — the headline.

An entire tab, built from nothing in this window:

Meal planning — the coach proposes a plan sized to the person; plans persist, are editable, and work for any day, not just today. Planning and logging were later merged into one Today screen.
Five ways to log food — search, one-tap repeat of a planned meal, barcode scan, nutrition-label scan (for when the barcode comes up short), and photograph a plate to identify its components.
Food database — seeded from USDA, with Open Food Facts for branded packets, a translation layer so everyday names find USDA's vocabulary, and regional ranking. Plus 41 composed Indian dishes.
My Recipes — a home for dishes you cook, costed from their ingredients, editable in whatever unit you actually use.
Day totals against targets, portion weights, four label nutrients stored and shared, share a day or a single meal, swipe-to-edit, multi-select, confirm-before-delete.
Exercise demos — rebuilt on a real rig

The demo library was migrated onto a Blender rig in five phases (barbell, dumbbells and cables, supine, prone, suspended), with body anatomy refitted from rig measurements rather than guessed. Everything was then re-rendered at HD, nine filmed clips wired in, and worked muscles tinted. Player reflow, Focus Mode letterboxing, and tablet sizing all fixed.

Apple Health & Watch
Import weight and body fat from Health.
Fixed the phone and Watch both writing the same workout — sessions were being double-counted.
The Watch now asks for HealthKit access on launch instead of failing silently; Settings shows and requests that access honestly.
Look and feel

A shared gradient app bar replaced per-screen implementations across the app, followed by a sweep for light-theme readability — chips, labels, popup-menu icons, the Export sheet. Progress was reorganised: Goals onto Overview, body measurements split out, Calendar folded in.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-11

Headline — Focus Mode
The biggest thing in this release, and the one worth leading with. A distraction-free logging screen: one exercise, one set, nothing else. Swipe between exercises, hold a stepper to repeat, tap a dot to jump. Rest tells you what it's counting down to and moves you on when it ends rather than when you log. You can finish or pause the session, swap an exercise, or collapse the rest timer to get at the controls without leaving. Turn the phone sideways on the bench and it becomes a HUD readable from a couple of metres. It's now the default way into a live workout, with a flip transition to get there.

Getting started
A starter workout is built and offered on first launch — and to existing accounts too. The first completed workout gets its own moment. One feature is introduced per day across the first week, and profile setup no longer asks for a goal before you've trained once.

Apple Watch
Substantially rebuilt. You can now finish a workout from the wrist, achievements are awarded for Watch-finished sessions, and metrics arrive reliably instead of being dropped. The stair machine is measured in floors — estimated from steps when the barometer can't see a climb, and labelled as an estimate. Live calories no longer freeze mid-session, and a zero total no longer hides the real one. Chevrons and timer controls are actually hittable; pages scroll instead of overflowing.

And a session now survives the app being killed — heart rate, calories, distance and elapsed time continue rather than restarting from zero.

Exercise demonstrations
29 rendered technique clips now ship — pull-ups, dips, flyes, cable work, dumbbell rows, incline press and more. Clips are cached after first view instead of re-downloading every time, and are four times smaller. The 174 wrong catch-all icons were deleted in favour of an honest category fallback.

Apple Health
Workouts land under the right activity type — a leg day with a treadmill block is Cross Training, not Mixed Cardio. Effort is now filled in automatically instead of prompting. Duration excludes paused time, so an auto-paused session no longer reports the gap as training.

Sign-in
Password strength validation, Terms and Privacy consent, email verification that detects itself, and one field that accepts either an email or a phone number.

Fixes
Scheduled notifications never appearing (two separate causes). A crash when the OS pushed a route. The app hanging on the splash screen after logout. Sign-in misreading a numeric-leading email as a phone number. Charts: doubled axis labels, cardio plotted as zero volume, and an effort axis dictated by a single PR outlier.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-07

Exercise demonstrations
See how a movement should look before you do it. Around 30 of
the most-used exercises now have a short animated demo, from
push-ups and pull-ups to squats, deadlifts, rows and cable work.

A better first week
New accounts get a shorter setup and a first workout already
built for them, based on where they train and what equipment
they have. Home now surfaces one useful thing a day through
your first week, and finishing your first workout gets the
send-off it deserves.

Apple Watch
Start, run and finish a whole workout from your wrist. Sessions
now end with a full summary, achievements count from the Watch,
and cardio machines — treadmill, bike, rower, stair climber —
track their own metrics. Use the Digital Crown to dial in weight
and reps.

Progress
A new Effort Over Time chart, muscle balance measured by sets
rather than raw volume, period-over-period comparisons, and any
section can be shared as an image. Charts now read properly at
every time range.

Sign in your way
Sign in with a phone number and a one-time code, or an email
address — one field works out which. Email verification is now
detected automatically.

Also in this release
Phone-only workouts are written to Apple Health. Scheduled
reminders now actually arrive. Plus fixes for chart labels,
notification handling and a hang after signing out.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-03

Cardio tracking is here.

• Log treadmill, running, cycling, rowing and more in distance and
time — not reps and weight
• Start/stop tracking with a live timer, plus GPS distance and pace
  for outdoor runs
• Track cardio from your Apple Watch, with live distance and heart rate
• Heart rate and calories from your Watch are now saved to your workout
• Runs now appear correctly in Apple Health as runs
• Cardio shows up in your weekly stats, calendar and progress charts

396 exercises, up from 259.

• Rotator cuff, scapular and prehab work added
• Far better gym machine coverage
• Search now finds exercises by the names your gym uses

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-31

A rebuilt Home screen, a faster launch, and a fix to Restore Purchases.

HOME SCREEN
Home is about half as long. The workout you're in the middle of
is now the first thing you see, and it offers "Finish Workout"
once every set is logged instead of still saying "Resume".

New "Last 7 Days" card: workouts, training time, streak and
volume, with the change against the week before.

The insight card now leads with whatever is most worth saying
today — a lapse, a personal best, a real volume move — and stays
quiet when there's nothing true to report.

Quick Actions, Quote of the Day and the achievements preview are
gone. Goals show two at a time, recent activity three, each with
a way to see the rest.

LAUNCH
Opening the app while signed in no longer flashes the sign-in
screen before your dashboard. There's a proper launch screen now.

RESTORE PURCHASES
It used to say "Purchases restored" even when there was nothing
to restore. It now tells you what actually happened.

CALENDAR
The title was being cut off. Timeline and Recurring plans moved
into a menu, and "Go to today" appears only when you're not
already on this month.
