### 3/5 — Love the hardware; App not so much

*2021-01-30, version 1.8.5*

Hardware is good. Probes are good. Love the silicon ends. Sending unit is good and the magnet works good. Bluetooth is strong.

App not as good. The alarm volume is crazy loud. Would be nice if there was a control for the volume. My electric smoker fluctuates about 20deg. Would be nice to be able to see the peak and valley temps. When you’re plugged in to port 6 but the other ports aren’t used why do I have to scroll through all the graphs. Sometimes it disconnects and you lose your graph. It would be cool to project the target temp time. I know this is complex but maybe use the last hours climb rate to forecast.
Would like to be able to adjust the target meat temp a few degrees wo losing the graph.

I’ll say this is way better than my other wireless probe but it could be so much better.

### 3/5 — Works but a few issues

*2020-10-30, version 1.8.5*

First is range. If the smoker is outside you are inside and about 30-40 feet loses connection. Second is the app. After two hours it clears your data so you can’t see a beautiful chart for all your smoke/cook. Third after about a couple of years the probes started to fail. So it’s ok. Not great.

### 3/5 — Great App & Thermometer but...

*2018-09-02, version 1.8.5*

I love the thermometer and this app is very nice to track. However as others have said it would be nice to adjust the alarm sound level and maybe let us customize it. I had unplugged the probes after I was done and shut off the transmitter but forgot to force close the app....at least I am assuming that is why the alarm went off. But it was really WAY to loud.
If that can be fixed I will gladly give it 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Alarms too loud

*2018-07-25, version 1.8.5*

Alarms are too loud and can’t change ringtones.
Need to delete presets or change order

Please fix. Otherwise a 5 Star app

### 4/5 — Almost great!

*2018-07-13, version 1.8.5*

Needs the ability to export graph data.
Needs the ability to change graph scale by pinching.
Needs the ability to project a predicted TTP (Time-To-Peak) onto the graph so you know ahead of time when your temps should be reached.

### 4/5 — One big flaw to an awesome app

*2018-06-10, version 1.8.5*

This is a great app, but it has a huge flaw in that if it loses signal the graphs reset themselves and you lose all of the previous data.

I would like to see it keep the data with an option to save history as well. It would be nice to see comparative trend graphs on top of each other so I can more easily predict the stall on a pork shoulder.

### 4/5 — Good, could be great - see suggestions!

*2018-05-27, version 1.8.5*

This app is really stable, works well with the thermometer, nice that it tracks temperatures and you can create and edit your own presets.

However, adding/changing several small things would greatly improve it to be perfect:

1) make the alarm less loud, or allow users to set their own ringtone for the alarm. At present it's extremely intrusive and LOUD.

2) Add the ability to delete presets, not just create and edit. They accumulate quickly and there is no way to remove them other than removing the app altogether.

3) on the graph screen, add a feature to mark events with a hash or something, so that you can note when you opened the door, or changed the temperature, it added food to the BBQ / oven etc. This would greatly help with record keeping!

### 3/5 — Ok, but the temp graph resets

*2018-04-28, version 1.8.5*

The unit works well. However the temp graph resets after an hour or so. So if you do a long cook you will not be able to see the temp history. It’s rather annoying, and a feature that other units have. As others have mentioned, add that feature and the ratings go up.

### 4/5 — Great App & Device

*2018-04-15, version 1.8.5*

Both the device and app work great. However, I would like the ability to save the data from my smoking so that I can compare different scenarios and environments. The only kind of annoying thing about the app is when you quit it (accidentally) the app resets the history so you can no longer see how a temp has been trending. It’s a minor thing, but very useful especially when you’re doing a Boston butt over 12 hours and I think most other users would agree judging by some of the other comments / reviews I’ve found here and on Amazon. If the developers read these, I would change my rating to 5 stars if these ability’s were fixed & added. Otherwise the probs work well (always accurate) and the app syncs nicely and quickly. Definitely a great product, just needs a couple of tweaks to make it my go to for smoking.

### 4/5 — Great app, add a time graph and it will be 5-star worthy!

*2018-03-16, version 1.8.3*

App is stable, nice UI, easy to use. The only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't have a time graph so you can't look back at a chart of let's say the last hour or two to see how temperature of a probe has trended over time.

That would be super useful if doing a longer cook! Please add that feature and it's 5-star city as far as I'm concerned.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer able to use thermometer after update

*2025-01-23, version 1.9.6*

I love this thermometer but after the recent app update (or maybe iOS update) it will no longer connect to either of my two thermometers meaning I can no longer set the alarm temp. Too bad, I guess it it time for an upgrade.

### 1/5 — Drains battery all day long

*2023-06-10, version 1.9.6*

Check your battery activity. This app drains it all day under no usage at all!

### 1/5 — Garbage app

*2022-12-24, version 1.9.1*

It’s ok for l reading the current temperature. If you’re trying to track a long bbq or smoke it’s totally worthless. It’ll lose connection every few hours and completely resets the temperature tracking. The plots themselves are complete garbage, they don’t scale right and you can’t adjust them in any way. Even the presentation is barely readable. I don’t get it, an off the shelf open source plot library would do an infinitely better job. It feels like some kid just slapped a school assignment together at the last minute to try to get some credit.

### 1/5 — Useless thermometer

*2021-04-23, version 1.9.1*

Bought this blue tooth thermometer thinking it would be the last one I would need. Unfortunately it only worked for about eight or ten cooks and then the temp reading shot up to 574 degrees. Cleaned it and changed batteries with no change. Called customer service and emailed and never got to speak with anyone. Never received a call back or email. Would not recommend this to anyone.

### 1/5 — Concerned about lack of updates

*2019-07-27, version 1.8.5*

Not formatted for the X or XS. History is reset if connection is lost so my graphs disappear.

Connection to unit is a breeze however.

### 2/5 — Disappointing App

*2021-08-08, version 1.9.1*

Despite producing a quality thermometer, the app is truly terrible. It crashes frequently, which makes the duration temperature charts, temperature threshold settings, and alarms pointless as it resets every time the app closes. Worse of all it causes the transmitter to beep because it “losses” the connection.

### 2/5 — Leaves a lot to be desired; developers uninterested in feedback

*2021-06-01, version 1.9.1*

The app is OK, but there are many minor and incremental improvements that could be made if the developers were willing to listen to feedback from users. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case. As a starting point, the temperature graph is worthless.

### 2/5 — New update

*2021-05-02, version 1.9.1*

I’ve had this unit for a couple years now. It is work great and I use it every other week or so. About a week ago they must’ve been an automatic update that got put in. Now there’s a three screen information sheet on how to use the tool or the app. And on top of that, I lose my presets every time I lose connection with my device. This has been very frustrating as I have to reset my presets every single time I lose connection which is quite often as I wander through the house and then back outside to check the temperatures. I’m hoping they can fix us quickly.

### 2/5 — Great Thermo - gaps in the app!

*2020-10-31, version 1.8.5*

Love the thermometer, but the app only graphs one probe’s temperature, and the history never goes back more than 30 minutes. The app is great for grilling, but get a different device if you want to use it for smoking.

### 3/5 — Good

*2024-07-07, version 1.9.6*

Overall a decent app.

Two problems. Graph resets when phone loses connection to the unit. That’s super frustrating.

No applewatch app which is totally ridiculous in 2024.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App is better than the probes

*2022-07-17, version 1.9.1*

The app does pretty much everything you need it to. The communication with the base unit is spot on. My only real complaint is that the probes tend to fail, but that, of course, has nothing to do with the app.

You know what would be great? A watch app. Simple thing that shows the temperature and maybe has a button to silence alarms.

### 5/5 — 2 units

*2019-11-09, version 1.8.5*

Is it possible to have one phone operate two different units? We have one in our trailer and one at home and can only operate it on one unit, the original one. How do I get it to operate the other unit?

### 5/5 — I love this thing!

*2019-02-28, version 1.8.5*

I’ve tried every meat thermometer and timer on the market ... but this Bluetooth meat thermometer beats them all.
It comes with 6 probes which can be set at their own temperature setting.
It has a strong magnet that attaches to any cold mettle of your BBQ, or stove. Long prob cords. A very well designed probe-cord cable wrap. All contained in a form padded hard protective case!
The LED lighted panel has large temp readings that you can set to F or C.
Very easy to link to your iPhone via the free app from the Apple store - which ads more features. Such as a list of all popular food with recommended temp settings that also allow you to edit if necessary.
And if the list does not have what you want.. you can add it.
Built in timer gives a loud sound on your iPhone when the set temp is reached. The timer can be set to alert you when it’s time for what else is needed you’re doing.
I can be watching the big game and still keep a remote eye on the ribs, steak, etc from the phone. Even monitor temp progress.
The ONLY recommendation I would have is a way to set Pre-temp on the monitor rather only from the phone.
Highly recommended for the Tim Allen More Power BBQ chef!

### 5/5 — Better than Igrill

*2018-12-21, version 1.8.5*

I happy with it.

### 5/5 — Initial review

*2018-09-15, version 1.8.5*

I just got the temperature probes today and my initial review at time of unboxing is wow.Seems very sturdy, when probes plug in they seem very strong, the main unit has a good weight and feel to it and the app seems very user friendly.

### 5/5 — 5-Star

*2018-03-17, version 1.8.5*

Easy to use, great result!

### 4/5 — Great device and solid iPhone app

*2023-10-02, version 1.9.6*

If you are serious about cooking your meat or any food to exact temperature - this is it. I own wireless and wired and handheld digital probes and whenever I need a reliable performance - this is my go to.

Would love to have the Apple Watch app for this! Time to put this tech on my wrist.

### 4/5 — Great app.... could use a few more features

*2019-04-19, version 1.8.5*

I gave this app 4 stars. Its a great app dont get me wrong, the one thing i wish it utilized was widgets on ios. Or even display temps on the lock screen when the phone shuts off so you dont have to open the phone and app every time.

### 4/5 — Good app with useful features

*2018-12-23, version 1.8.5*

I used this app with my 6 probe solis today. The price was right on woot . Com $(40) so I purchased one. I was able to quickly learn the app and I got all 3 probes I needed set up, one for the inside temp and 2 meats. Range at my house was good, love the temp graphs and ability to name each probe. I like also the list view where I could see all 3 in one view. Having used it once so far I would say it’s still in need of a few good ideas like other reviewers mentioned. For the price it’s unbeatable but it’s not WiFi (Bluetooth only) so you can’t leave the house or get your phone out of range so keep that in mind. It does Alarm you if you do get out of range so that was nice.

### 4/5 — Hope to see some future development

*2018-07-27, version 1.8.5*

I got this temperature probe at a great price and wow 6 probes! Upgraded from a maverick probe which was fine but this one is great. One big gripe with the app is that there is no ability to see cook history or export graphs. When smoking a brisket or pork butt for 12 hours, it would be nice to see the full duration of the smoke and to also maintain the cooking time until it is complete instead of resetting. Also being able to see a list of previous sessions would make this perfect. Please please please work on this!
