### 4/5 — Solitaire City

*2026-07-23, version 7.32*

Great app. I use it every day.
My only complaint is the inability to undo the “replay” or “new” if pressed in error.

### 2/5 — Games always similar

*2026-06-10, version 7.32*

I like that there are no ads or a bunch of bling. But good luck with these games. Most are very similar in that you get several of the same number cards and frankly doesn’t seem random at all. Very hard to win. The earlier version was slightly better but this one just sucks.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2026-04-01, version 7.30*

I’ve been playing this game off and on for a few years now and it never fails to be just what I want. A wide variety of games with multiple difficulties to chose from. The platform is stable and gameplay is fluid. I Highly recommend this game for years of interesting gameplay and a welcome distraction and/or time filler when needed.

### 5/5 — Well worth it.

*2026-03-29, version 7.30*

I’ve spent a lot of the me enjoying all the different games of solitaire available. Learned some new games I never heard of and now they are some of my favorite games! Awesome app. Can’t recommend it enough.

### 4/5 — Love solitaire, new to Solitaire City

*2026-03-18, version 7.30*

I stayed with one game provider for a long time. I got bored. I switched to this game and I have enjoyed it. If you want a challenge, try it

### 2/5 — Can’t win at this

*2026-03-08, version 7.30*

Bought this for my husband for ad free experience . He has played solitaire before on free apps, but the ads would frustrate him due to mild dementia. Thought this would be better but it is hard for him to do because it just never allows a win unless you are extremely smart to have strategy.

### 2/5 — Would be better if….

*2026-03-07, version 7.30*

You could actually win once in a while.

### 5/5 — Solitaire City

*2026-03-01, version 7.30*

Enjoy playing learning new and interesting solitaire games with instructions!

### 5/5 — KK

*2026-02-24, version 7.30*

This games is awesome. Recently though I lose repeatedly due to the game is not winnable. Please go back to the version before the last update. I sincerely do not want to delete the game entirely. I do not expect to win every game but losing a lot of games in a row, where is your psychology and positive rewards. Only experiencing frustration.

### 3/5 — Gameplay = good / Leaderboards = bad

*2026-02-10, version 7.30*

Leader boards are corrupted with bogus scores…. No way a human is completing a scorpion solitaire game in 43 seconds…..

### 5/5 — Solitaire City

*2026-02-06, version 7.30*

Fantastic

### 4/5 — Frustrating

*2026-01-29, version 7.30*

Update- having spent more time, I appreciate the game play more and more. I updated to 4 stars. The shuffles for Solitaire still often look like 2 of-a-kind and full house poker hands way too often, but I do appreciate the tutorials and different options.

Ad Free with no tracking, great interface and custom-ability is why I rate it at 3- stars. Game play is frustrating to put it mildly. I have played Solitaire daily for over 45 years and it is a favorite to pass the time and get the brain warmed up. You can win, but it is rare. 69 games played (3 card Klondike) with 6 wins. Not a horrible percentage, but the first 3 wins came in the beginning after purchase. I had a large stretch of games “not looking good” in the 30-60 second range. Hit the new game button multiple times just to have a chance that the up cards aren’t in the 4-9 level and same color. I decided to play Pyramid to see how it stacks up as far as difficulty. Haven’t won one game yet. Not even close. I rarely pay for a game and thought the price was great for what it offers as far tracking and ads. Unfortunately, this one is going to go on the back burner. Flipping cards at least lets me feel that I’m in the realm of probability.

### 5/5 — Longtime user

*2026-01-27, version 7.30*

No ads. Competition if you want or just private. Really relaxing.

### 2/5 — Solebon is much better

*2026-01-25, version 7.30*

I bought this app about 30 minutes ago, and wish I had an opportunity to play before buying (but it was cheap). This solitaire app is very slow. If you play a card (in Klondike) you have to tap the cards to turn them over (it doesn’t work with you to make the game more fun). It is also very slow. I know I already said that, but it’s worth repeating. Even with adjusting settings this plays like a 2010 app. Each game counts out 52 cards. Why? We all know there are 52 cards. It just takes more slow visual time. if you want to keep a game rolling, this isn’t the app for you. The cards are not appealing. It’s a hard screen to watch. I guess you can tell I really think this is a low grade app. Please check out Solebon.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-08-02, version 7.32*

I have played solitaire 45 times since buying this and lost every game. I don’t need to win every game but I didn’t spend $5 to lose every game.

### 1/5 — Can’t Win

*2026-07-22, version 7.32*

I play Las Vegas solitaire with a deck of cards and have a 10% or higher win rate. I can’t get over 3% with this and sometimes can be over 500 games without one win. Time for a new app.

### 1/5 — Use to be great

*2026-05-10, version 7.31*

Way to go with the last update, now the banner is covering the cards

### 1/5 — Leader board is incorrect

*2026-04-07, version 7.30*

As I have achieved the fastest completion time why is a slower time at the top of the leader board

### 1/5 — Below Average

*2026-03-22, version 7.30*

I’ve played much better formats, I’m not impressed wasted my money

### 1/5 — 99.9% impossible

*2026-01-23, version 7.30*

Since the update it is near impossible to finish game. To be honest I am now rather perplexed and enough to delete app.

### 1/5 — Can’t win!

*2025-12-26, version 7.30*

Terrible. I’m pretty good at solitaire but I can’t beat this game. Also when playing if your finger unintentionally touches discard pile a new card comes up obscuring the card below thst you wanted. A hair trigger

### 1/5 — Dissatisfied

*2025-12-16, version 7.30*

I have been looking for a decent solitaire game since the one I had been using stopped working. This one got good reviews and I resigned myself to the fact that I would have to pay for one in order to stop the annoying ads.
It is VERY DIFFICULT to win with this game and card movement is clunky and unresponsive. Wasted $5.00

### 1/5 — Why can’t I win anymore

*2025-10-20, version 7.30*

Can’t put up high scores anymore what did the do?

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2025-10-13, version 7.30*

This is the very first game I’ve ever bought and paid for, and while I appreciate no advertising, that’s about all I like about this version of solitaire. I have mobility issues in my hands and arms, so the need to drag the cards instead of being able to just tap to complete the move is inconvenient and pain provoking, limiting the amount of time that I’m able to play the game.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best solitaire app in the App Store

*2026-08-22, version 7.32*

This really is the best solitaire app you’ll find anywhere. The only suggestion I could make for an improvement is based on the reason I love the app so much (more on that later). My suggestion is that each ‘how to play’ section is updated with the different names used for this game in other languages; as well as both their literal translation and explanation of any associated idioms. It would help those of us who learned the game under a name in a different language to find the app; and the developer might also want to consider translation or a other language versions chosen as a result of seeing where these games are more common, but language is a hurdle to opening a new market (it may be surprising to talk to a linguist about this - the routes of learning and adaptation might be really surprising). It’s also just interesting to see how different cultures relate to the same game.

I love that this app has so many games I had never played before, as well as many variations on games I already knew. If you haven’t worked it out already, then the thing I loved most about this app was finding it had a game I spent many hours playing as a child. The entire pack dealt out in a tree-like arrangement, and the aim is to pile each suit, aces up, on a column down the centre. It took a number of fails to find an app with this game. It’s a really complicated game which requires a lot of careful analysis and strategising before making each move; so it’s a great game to play with tweens and teens if you want them to increase those skills. Kids generally roll their eyes at a pack of cards these days; but teach them to play this on an app; and keep a few packs of cards in your emergency bag; and you’ll get through a power outage like a pro.

I think it might be time to see if the developer has a bridge app. More of a challenge to build, but a more social version of solitaire for sure; and I doubt there is already a bridge playing app out there of this standard unless the same developer built it.

### 5/5 — Best Solitaire Ever!

*2026-07-31, version 7.32*

Great selection of games with good graphics.

### 5/5 — Solitaire City

*2026-07-24, version 7.32*

Enjoy playing learning new and interesting solitaire games with instructions!

### 5/5 — So happy this works again

*2026-07-13, version 7.32*

I’ve been playing this every day for years. It works smoothly and has no ads, so it’s perfect for relaxation. It recently stopped working (hanging on the opening screen so the game wouldn’t start) and I was gutted. It turns out this was an error in the Apple Game Centre software that was affecting lots of games. It’s been fixed in the latest update so my favourite game works again. Excellent news.

### 5/5 — Love this but

*2026-06-27, version 7.32*

I am trying to submit an app support query but when I send it I get a 404 not found response so I am trying to contact the App developers through the review system. Apologies. The game stays on the home page- bridge and buildings made of cards pic. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times but this is not working. I am on an iPad Geronimo (A16).

### 5/5 — Playing since 2010

*2026-06-14, version 7.32*

I've tried other vendors' games over the years, but this is definitely the best in my experience. It's kind of my default go to for killing time in idle moments. Sometimes the moments go on a lot longer than intended. The game quality and variety has improved greatly since it first came out, and it started out pretty good. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — The Best

*2026-05-24, version 7.32*

Flawlessly smooth and entertaining too

### 5/5 — Longest Supported App

*2026-05-15, version 7.32*

I’ve had this installed since the first or second generation iPod Touch and still installing on current iPhone 16 Pro over a decade later.

I can count on one hand the amount of apps that have been installed that long, updated, and functional.

Amazing developer with a fantastic rate of return on a purchase.

Thank you!

### 5/5 — I love this game

*2026-04-29, version 7.30*

Please update iOS 26 it's about time

### 5/5 — I like it more and more.

*2026-04-28, version 7.30*

Update- could you please change the rules on Golf to allow the game to end when the upface cards are spent. From a time challenge perspective, you lose 2-4 seconds at the end of many games trying to turn over unused cards.
Update- having spent more time, I appreciate the game play more and more. I updated to 4 stars. The shuffles for Solitaire still often look like 2 of-a-kind and full house poker hands way too often, but I do appreciate the tutorials and different options.
