That should not happen to a Joe Average player like me. The obvious conclusion is that the game is rigged to win to keep users playing (to watch the ads). Downloaded this version, and it is like using a version for 20 years ago. Functionality took 10 steps backwards, and speed is nonexistent. ### 1/5 — Once great now simply annoying! *2021-06-19, version 3.3.2* For years this used to be my go to app to fill-in 10 minutes of spare time. It was simple and had enough game diversity to keep you trying to get all of your cards out. The ad is used to be small items at the bottom of the screen and didn’t interrupt gameplay. This latest version unfortunately is miles from it’s predecessors. The ads are now video ads that appear after every 3rd or 4th game. They take over the whole screen with music and sound that you can’t mute until the ad starts but there is a far worse problem with the mechanics of how the cards are dealt. I continually get either the same card number, a run of the same suit or every turn over is the opposite numerical range to the playing deck. I.e. I need 8’s or higher and the deal is all 5’s and lower. The end result of this is my win rate has reduced drastically and I can only assume that these changes are designed in order to force me to play more games and hence expose me to more adverts if this is the case then this is a cynical move by the developers and they have effectively ruined what was a simple and fun game to play. My former comments below are no longer valid. This is a very good game. downloaded this game about 2 years ago and after playing it for a few months, decided to buy it because I really liked it. However, over the past few months something has changed. In 3 card draw option it is nearly impossible to get a win even after selecting “all winnable” in the settings. The other 3 card draw options aren’t much better. The 1 card draw isn’t much better. My description of this game is “frustrating. “. I have contacted the developer and they always respond quickly, but so far they have not been able to fix the problems. I used to rate this game with 5 stars, now I give it 1 star. It is a great game for maintaining mental acuity and even small flaws that come with “improvements” stand out because the game is so polished. The new IOS 14 interface with Solitaire Classic introduced one of these burrs under a saddle blanket. The leaderboard no longer lists the date/time of the winning score. No big thing, but now when I look at the lifetime leader board, history has been replaced by rank order. Is the substitution a nefarious educational plot to degrade the lessons of history? Or is it simply a programming oversight that is easily corrected?
