I’d played it a ton, got a bunch of restaurants. I took it off my phone at some point so I have to start over and I am happy to do so. However the ad situation and the purchase situation is sketchy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I tried to spend a buck to get rid of ads and it won’t let me. It’s a bummer because I think that offer is only for a day. The core game is an absolute delight. It’s well made, beautifully designed, and incredibly fun. You can tell the devs put a lot of love and care into it, but it’s all for nothing when gigantic trashy ads take over your screen and lock you out of doing anything else. It’s nonstop, and it’s an awful, awful experience. If this game sold a turn-off-ads feature for like $20-$30, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Until then, I’ve stopped playing entirely, checking back in occasionally while hoping that one day this game will stop being a pleasantly scented dumpster fire and instead become the heartwarming pastime staple that it deserves to be.
