Why does this one go through cards 4 cards at a time? Most solitaire games use 1 or 3 cards from the stack. Your 4 card ruins the game for me. **Developer response:** Tap the Game List button in the upper left corner to switch between 1, 2, 3, 4 or even 5 card deal Klondike. ### 3/5 — Frustrating ads *2021-05-15* Older version ofKlondike was perfection. This one is maddening because you are constantly bombarded with ads **Developer response:** The ad configuration for this app has never changed. There is a single ad after the completion of each game and never any ads while you play like most other apps. I do miss having the menu down the side; now I can't reach it with my thumb when playing on my iPad mini. The way you can zoom the screen to reduce the size of the cards is nice. How about a night mode? REALLY dislike the game app ads after EVERY game. Very annoying. Graphics and game play are so nice as I have all card games by this developer. Skip this one ### 1/5 — Lesson in futility *2015-11-18* Only played Klondike 3, and rarely did I win. Every time you re-shuffle after playing even 1 card, you have to watch an ad. That to me is suspect. Prevent one from winning to bolster ad revenue. I play this to win, not watch ads. Update: perhaps the complaints were heard and there have been no video ads for a couple of days. Upped to 4 star, but the ad after each game remains at a high level of annoyance. Nice game. Video ads that hang on. A very hostile treatment. Poor implementation. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2014-07-03* Too bad. I use a previous version of this app on my Iphone. I have played it for many many enjoyable hours. Got a new IPad Air and downloaded this version. Bombarded with ads. Ok I understand that they have to make money somehow but when they forced me to go the App Store and download some casino app before I could continue playing, they stepped over the line. I was just about to upgrade to the paid app so I didn't have to look at the ads but now will delete this app and look elsewhere for a solitaire app. Really bad marketing idea. ### 1/5 — Don't bother with this app *2014-06-26, version 1.1* Clumsy graphics and you are presented with an ad between each game where you have to actively cancel the ad to continue. It's what I need to keep my brain on track. It works for me, thanks! ### 5/5 — Great interpretation of the classic solitaire genre *2016-01-09, version 1.5* I've been using this app for years and it's been a great way to kill time whilst waiting for anything - and handy for the odd insomniac moment too. I've recently noticed that the timer continues during the ads (when playing the free version there are ads between each game) which adds a second or two to the times. It doesn't happen if you win the game, only if you don't. As the next deal loads, if you watch, the time of the last game shows briefly before zeroing for the new game and is always higher than when you closed the hand. It obviously doesn't effect the game play itself, but skews the statistics slightly for the average time of lost games.
