## What is Solly?

solly is a calm uv-index app for iphone.

a friendly sun character lives on your screen, and their mood IS the live uv. easy and content at uv 0. cheery at uv 2. slightly bothered at uv 5. cross at uv 9. they sleep in a bed at night while a moon keeps watch.

at a glance, you'll know whether to grab the sunscreen, find some shade, or just enjoy the day.

uv data comes from apple weatherkit. the request goes from your phone straight to apple. solly doesn't run any servers.

you can finally mix and match — and there's a lot more to collect.

- fixed: cosmetics earned from streaks couldn't be taken off or swapped once solly put them on. every earned piece now has a wear / take-off button, in the shop and on the streak screen.

- six slots, not two. a hat, shades, a scarf, a halo, an umbrella and zinc can all be worn at once — nothing has to come off to make room.

- the streak ladder now runs to a full year: the scarf at 60 days, heart shades at 100, the laurel at 180, and a halo at 365.

- weather rewards: an umbrella for five wet check-ins, a bobble hat for three snowy ones, and zinc for five days with uv 8 or higher. the days needn't be consecutive.

- rest days: you bank one every ten days, up to two. go away for a weekend — they're spent automatically and your streak holds.

- your streak now shows on the home screen widget.

solly checked the forecast, and there's a lot in it:

- morning uv outlook: a new daily summary that lands with your coffee — the day's peak uv, when it hits, and what the sky is doing. keep the hourly heads-ups too, or switch entirely. your call, in settings.

- real weather: clouds now drift past solly, rain falls, snow settles — in the app and on your widgets. on grey days with high uv, solly says it straight: clouds don't block uv.

- streaks: open solly each day to keep a streak going (one missed day is forgiven). the crown arrives at 7 days, star shades at 14, and the flower crown at 30.

- a wide-awake widget: fixed a bug where the widget could sleep through the afternoon showing yesterday's sunrise. it now keeps itself fresh all day, entirely on its own.

our brightest update yet, made to be glanced at:

- a living widget: solly's sun now arcs across a little sky through the day, the light shifting from dawn to golden hour to dusk. it also refreshes far more often, so it's fresh every time you look.

- shade o'clock: on high-uv days, a live activity counts down to peak sun on your lock screen and dynamic island, so you know exactly when to find shade.

- little moments: solly blinks, yawns at dusk, glows in the golden hour, and gives a happy bounce when the uv changes band.

- a brand-new app icon.
