## What is Solmate?

Solmate is your tanning sidekick. Sol reads the live UV index where you are and sizes a timer to your skin, your sunscreen and the sun you've already had this week. You stop guessing, and a 7-day plan paces your sessions with rest days built in.

GUIDED SESSIONS
• Tap the orange sun in the tab bar to start from any screen.
• Tell Sol what's on your skin and set your minutes. The dial stops at today's max.
• Before you go out, tick water and your sunscreen, then tap Let's glow.
• Sol calls your flips, and Extend adds minutes up to today's max.
• Your timer stays on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

MORE MODES
• Log time outside: for when you're out anyway but not tanning. It counts up like a stopwatch and tells you when to head into shade.
• Log past time: add earlier time outside that wasn't on a timer.
• Tan anyway (adults): on a rest day, you can still go out once you've read why Sol recommends resting and ticked that you understand. Once per rest day, never while your skin is tender.

A PLAN THAT LISTENS
• Choose Base, Deepen or Maintain, and how much rest to keep between sessions.
• Tan Diary: tell Sol how your skin feels. Tender eases the plan back, and Great can step it up.
• Reminders for flips, sunscreen reapply, UV peaks and rest days.

TODAY AT A GLANCE
• Today's sun: the UV now, the day's outlook and this week's peak UV.
• Your recent sessions and a daily affirmation.
• Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen, including Today's window, Glow streak and Solmates now.

BETTER WITH FRIENDS
• Add solmates by username, QR code or your contacts, or follow their Tan Passport.
• Nudge a friend, see friends' streaks and see who's out in the sun right now.
• Group sessions (Premium): open a lobby, invite friends and share one music queue. Each person going out runs a personal timer.
• Make your profile private so new followers need your OK, or turn off friend requests.
• View public profile shows your page exactly as friends see it, cover photo included.

TAN PASSPORT
• Finish a session in a new city and Sol stamps your Tan Passport. Pick a cover and collect cities as you travel.

MUSIC
• Connect Apple Music, pick a tan playlist and start it with your timer.

QUICK START
• Start a session with Back Tap, the Action button or Siri: say "Solmate quick start". A card asks for water and sunscreen, then your timer runs on the Lock Screen.

YOUR PROGRESS
• All sessions: your history by month, with filters.
• Face scans (Premium): take face photos to follow your shade over time. Adults can ask Sol for a shade estimate.
• Learn (Premium): reads on the UV index, skin types, SPF and aftercare.

SOLMATE PREMIUM
Timers, your plan, the Tan Diary, friends and nudges are free. Premium adds:
• Ask Sol, your AI tanning coach, for adults 18+. Sol answers from your own plan, today's UV and your recent sessions.
• Group sessions with friends.
• Face scans to follow your shade.
• Every Learn read.
• Custom app icons.
• A verification badge beside your name.
Premium is an auto-renewing weekly, monthly or annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

AGES
Solmate is for ages 13 and up. From 13, guided plans, timers and Quick start are open, sized gentler under 18. Tan anyway, Ask Sol and Sol's photo analysis are for adults 18+.

ESTIMATES, NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Solmate's times are estimates from the UV forecast and your answers, not medical advice, and no timer can promise you won't burn. Stop if your skin feels hot or tender, and follow your clinician's advice.
