## What is Soloist Sight Reading Trainer?

Sight reading should feel musical, and feedback should tell the truth.

Soloist Sight Reading helps practising musicians build reliable reading fluency with focused staff drills and source-identified public-domain excerpts. Each assessment names the work, source voice or staff, measure span, and every tempo, clef, length, texture, or transposition change in Soloist's independent event encoding. Play through a microphone or connect a wired or Bluetooth MIDI keyboard. Both inputs use the same note-and-timing grading contract. If the evidence is unclear, Soloist says it could not hear enough to grade instead of inventing a wrong note.

READ WITH EVIDENCE

• See expected notes, heard notes, timing, confidence, and any abstention reason.
• Practise treble, bass, alto, tenor, grand staff, ledger lines, rhythm, solfege, and German note names.
• Use landmark hints when you need them, then remove them as fluency grows.

BUILD A READING SCORE

• Take a short escalating assessment with one score and a progress curve.
• Preview an exam-style excerpt, then complete one honest take.
• Use vanishing notation to train your eyes to read ahead of the playhead.
• Bring exact note and rhythm errors back on an adaptive review schedule.
