### 3/5 — It’s ok, but not for me

*2026-08-12, version 4.130.1*

I downloaded this app because I was curious. I work in AI as a conversation designer so I tried the AI Agents for Beginners. It was fine at first. Very basic information that’s suitable for beginners. Then it basically threw me to the wolves with the Talking to the Model lesson and as someone who has very limited experience with Python, it was not helpful at all. I assumed the coding would be explained in some detail, but nope. It just assumed I knew what was going on. I wish there was a warning for needing to know Python beforehand. Also would be helpful to have documentation on the lessons just for people who want to dive a little deeper and have a more robust understanding of what they’re learning. I can see how this can be helpful for a lot of people, this just isn’t for me. I think I’m better off reading a book.

### 2/5 — READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING

*2026-08-07, version 4.130.0*

This app starts out all great and perfect even giving you a glimpse of what the pro version offers (editing code in a python terminal, explaining answers when you get them wrong why they are wrong) but as soon as you get past level two ALL those features are taken away causing you to be unable to execute the code, edit the terminal or see why you’ve answered a question wrong. You only get 5 hearts and they deplete every question you get wrong. Each heart takes 5HOURS to regenerate so you better make ZERO mistakes.
The only thing this app is good for is showing you basic information and ONLY works if you are able to learn by reading text only (no examples). Don’t download this app, and if you do then expect to be disappointed in every single way I suggest watching a YouTube video and practice along with a python emulator

### 4/5 — Good ig

*2026-08-06, version 4.130.0*

This app is good for python learners, I just hate the fact that you have to pay for it to explain your answer or to have some of the parts in the lessons run, since I’m broke :P but, other than that it’s pretty gud

### 4/5 — Good but I don’t want pro

*2026-08-06, version 4.130.0*

Look, the app is good and made me learn a LOT of stuff, but when I’m trying to do a part it says that it’s “pro only” and I don’t wanna do the free trial, other than that it’s a good app

### 2/5 — Разочарование

*2026-08-01, version 4.130.0*

### 2/5 — Helpful but very annoying

*2026-07-30, version 4.130.0*

Sololearn does help with learning but the free plan locks you out 60% of lessons sometimes, and most opportunities to actually type code in lesson, the heart system is very frustrating, a couple miss clicks and you are locked of the app for the rest of the day.

### 2/5 — Not the best

*2026-07-29, version 4.130.0*

It’s an alright app but honestly when you practise it’s a bit unhelpful becuase you can find out how you went wrong without paying extra so you sorta have to keep guessing until you get the right answer and I asked chat gpt and a lot of my ‘wrong answers’ would have been fine for normal phython it just wasn’t alexactly what the app wanted

### 4/5 — Fun and learning!

*2026-07-28, version 4.130.0*

It is making me learn and having lots of fun

### 4/5 — Sololearn

*2026-07-14, version 4.127.3*

Altogether the app is really good, but please can you add an option to remove courses because I accidentally clicked on start a random course and now I can't delete it.

edit: I still cant delete it pls help like where on your profile is it

### 3/5 — Don’t treat your students like they don’t count

*2026-07-12, version 4.127.3*

I am an experienced IT person who hasn’t been hands-on in a while. Much of Sololearn is great. The support is abhorrent. It took months th have a simple question answered. All answers are supremely condescending, trite, lacking any real answers.

Where do they get these people? Why do they let this happen? Who is minding the store?

### 5/5 — Habit forming (which is good)

*2026-07-08, version 4.127.3*

It’s fun learning coding here. I’m a developer after learning coding here.

### 3/5 — Good program, pay to play

*2026-07-08, version 4.127.3*

They really want you to go pro. Technically free, kinda pay to play

### 5/5 — Better than Doulingo

*2026-06-30, version 4.127.3*

As you may know Doulingo has “energy” blek! This app runs on hearts, both matching the theme of code a video game, and leaving its customers feeling content.

### 4/5 — Easy to follow, bite sized learning.

*2026-06-28, version 4.127.2*

The gamification helps make it fun and easier to stick with as a habit. My only wish is that I wish the help tips / “why you got it correct” was not just a paid AI-feature. But otherwise, I’m enjoying the journey so far!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible app functionality

*2026-08-14, version 4.130.1*

The app itself is pretty awful. It constantly logs me out for no reason and the password reset doesn't work, it just circles around from the email to the app but doesn't actually reset.

### 1/5 — too much learning

*2026-08-05, version 4.130.0*

I downloaded the app to learn C++ and watch ads, but unfortunately you have to do a lesson before your advertisement for a premium subscription, then skip over a premium lesson to the next lesson. This is very inconvenient because I am forced to do lessons just to see ads. please fix your app so I can see more ads, it would really improve the experience.

### 1/5 — 1 star

*2026-08-02, version 4.130.0*

I’m not using this app because it scams you out of $0.03 a year and 3 cents a year is $10.95,which can go to any thing else

### 1/5 — Typos

*2026-07-22, version 4.130.0*

You should make it so if someone makes a typo the still get it correct. I made a typo and it got rid of all my stars. Also onetime I was playing and clicked the correct answer, it said it was wrong so I tried the others and they were also incorrect so I tried the original one and it was correct.

### 1/5 — Was amazing now it’s paywall garbage

*2026-07-22, version 4.130.0*

the latest updates have pretty much ruined the free experience. content that has been available for many years and basic functionality that made the app worth any of your time. All meaningful interaction is gone, locked behind the pro plan. No running code, a broken attempt to prevent copy/paste, no interactive exercises. It’s mid 2026 and you can literally have a personalized tutor to teach you these concepts, have a conversation. They’re trying to squeeze money out of something that’s available freely elsewhere.

### 1/5 — No responden para cancelar la suscripción

*2026-07-08, version 4.127.3*

No responden para cancelar la suscripción

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-06-26, version 4.127.2*

At first the app was fine. They then hid a trial subscription, waited until it ended, and charged me 70 for a yearly subscription.

### 1/5 — Eternal waiting , overloaded?

*2026-06-25, version 4.127.2*

I want to learn python, can’t even see a print ( “hello world”) maybe will try later

### 1/5 — Logs me out for no reason

*2026-06-16, version 4.127.1*

It logs me out for no reason and the password reset isn't working. I get the email, but it doesn't let me actually reset. Very frustrating, this is the kind of friction that tech ought to be able to resolve.

### 1/5 — Unable to Cancel

*2026-06-16, version 4.127.1*

The Reality vs. The Ad:
I signed up for the free trial based on an advertisement claiming this was in a game format. It is not a game at all. The advertising is completely misleading.

The Cancellation Nightmare:
Trying to cancel this subscription has been an absolute nightmare. I have tried every possible avenue, and they have essentially trapped me into paying:

In-App: The app tells me to cancel through the "third party" I obtained it from.

App Store & Apple Account: It does not show up anywhere under my subscriptions or purchase history.

Company Website: There is no cancellation option available on their site.

Customer Support: I have sent multiple emails begging for assistance with cancellation. The responses are incredibly slow, unhelpful, and have provided zero resolution.

Current Status:
I am still subscribed, still being charged, and the company has made it physically impossible to cancel through normal channels. Since customer service refuses to fix this, my next step is contacting my bank to report these fraudulent charges and block further payments.
Save your money and your sanity—do not download or sign up for this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-22, version 4.130.1*

It really keeps your attention to keep learning and is helping me improve on my skill as a programmer

### 5/5 — Good pacing

*2026-08-19, version 4.130.1*

I am truly a beginner but very curious when it comes to tech and the things that relate. So much so I have been watching videos on how to build computers or how computer science came to be. This app is apart of that journey for me and has made learning code easy and fun. I am actually able to have conversations about coding and understand it now, shows movies they all look different now lol, I look forward to the continued lessons and what else is in store for Sololearn.

### 5/5 — Not negative to say

*2026-08-06, version 4.130.0*

It’s fun while educational

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-04, version 4.130.0*

Love this.

### 5/5 — Widget na tela

*2026-07-20*

### 5/5 — Sololearn

*2026-07-17, version 4.127.3*

Altogether the app is really good, but please can you add an option to remove courses because I accidentally clicked on start a random course and now I can't delete it.

edit: I still cant delete it pls help like where on your profile is it

Another edit : thanks for telling me the app is peak btw I got my friend to use it as well

### 5/5 — python,

*2026-07-16, version 4.127.3*

it seems nice app and free course and nice lessons i really like it.

### 5/5 — Perfeito

*2026-07-16*

Perfeito para quem está começando, o passo a passo é muito bom para entender a lógica.

### 5/5 — Fun Programed Learning

*2026-07-14, version 4.127.3*

This is a style of instruction from long ago. Break into simple topics and build from the basics. Good Stuff! Easy and productive .

### 5/5 — Easy to follow, bite sized learning.

*2026-07-09, version 4.127.3*

The gamification helps make it fun and easier to stick with as a habit. My only wish is that I wish the help tips / “why you got it correct” was not just a paid AI-feature. But otherwise, I’m enjoying the journey so far!
