We have two days left in 2018 and still no indoor accessory. Can’t even remotely control camera via phone or tablet app. Hopefully Soloshot hasn’t just taken their money/profits and run - stopped development. Someone needs to buy company and get this product right. I’ve contacted Soloshot today 12-29-18 at 340PM Eastern time. I will post the response when I get one, if I get one. ### 1/5 — Great Camera - Useless App *2018-09-29, version 1.6.3* While the camera works great, and shoots great quality video, the app is useless. How could the creators of this product NOT give you the capability to view your own videos that are stored on the SD card while the card is still in the camera? I shouldn’t have to take the card in and out every time I shoot video of players on the pitch. Super frustrating. Get it figure out!! You have dozens of negative reviews from frustrated buyers. Allow several weeks of self orientation to figure it all out so you don’t miss your big event. The GPS is iffy. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. If they allowed manual operation from the app and it was reliable, that would help. Still, I’d have to hire a crew member and fly them to every event where I’m speaking. There is no way to control the camera remotely. Still waiting for update of the app to allow control from smartphone! I have submitted reviews of the app on two other occasions since receiving my Soloshot 3 but they keep getting removed. This product is not as advertised and the app updates to make it as described by the manufacturer still have not been released. ### 1/5 — Where is remote control? *2018-02-03, version 1.3.1* Love the idea of this camera. For my church this product is almost vital for us to use... except that I can’t even use it at this point for one of the two reasons we bought it. There isn’t any hardware reason I shouldn’t be able to use it as a remote camera, only a software reason. I understand why (only a tiny bit) the indoor accessory isn’t available yet. Still in production. that piece still needs refinements to the hardware. What about as a remote PTZ camera? This unit has all the ability to be that, the app just hasn’t coded for that feature yet and I find that a bit absurd! There is no reason to have that feature kept under wraps mostly because I can’t imagine it’s all that difficult, you already know how to tell the camera to move the motors manually. Quite honestly how I’m setting the camera up doesn’t even need to have a live feed coming off of it (HDMI output is going to a different monitor). This was the only feature that I felt was going to save us from having to wait even longer till the indoor accessory comes out. Eagerly awaiting that software unlock, ya’ll. Thanks. Cheers. Awful. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Buona… solo l’idea *2022-09-23* Aquistata la versione 65x purtroppo quando si accende e viene configurata per inseguire il tag, anche in uno spazio di un centinaio di metri in campo aperto riesce a perdersi, la batteria dura solo 30-40 minuti, se in registrazione si perde tutto se la batteria si esaurisce. Non c’ė modo di controllare dallo smartphone e la sua app nessuna funzione. Inoltre la mia è inutilizzabile in quanto rimane spenta e, a volte, non si riaccende fino a quando la batteria non ė completamente scarica. Casualmente non riconosce la scheda SD, il tag non viene caricato, le funzioni sullo schermo non permettono le procedure di inseguimento in quanto non riconosce il tag. L’assistenza ė nulla. Purtroppo il minimo possibile da assegnare ė una stella! ### 1/5 — Soloshot *2020-10-24, version 1.6.3* Great concept but there are concerns the company’s poor customer support is a reflection of its financial health. It appears the company is no longer updating its software or answering the phone. I suspect the company is on its last legs. it could be an orphaned product. Before you buy the product call the company and try to reach a live person. Calls go unanswered and to voicemail. If you call you will get a standard 2-3 minute wait time before being sent to voicemail. There are tons of complaints on social media. I advise consumers to review them before purchasing and avoid this dead company ### 1/5 — Buyer Beware!! *2020-10-20, version 1.6.3* Customer Service does not exist. They do not answer phone or email. They sent me a defective camera and do not respond to my emails. There is no customer service, they have shutdown all of their social media, and they at behaving like they are going to stay in business just long enough to sell out their existing inventory. After waiting two years to finally get my camera, it doesn’t work and there is no one you can talk to. ### 1/5 — Total lack of customer support ! *2019-03-24, version 1.6.3* I emailed Soloshot several times. Still no response. If you buy this system you will be on your own using it. The manual basically tells you what the buttons are but not how to use them. The Soloshot3 app is totally useless except for posting videos online. No remote control just viewing. I wondered why everyone that I spoke with about this system was unhappy with it. Now I know why. You buy it and you are on your own. Hold off buying it. Someone else will come out with a similar system soon. We’re using it to film our sons playing baseball. I REALLY would like to see some ability to control the camera from the app... especially the recording functions. Not all subjects wearing the tag (in our case 17 & 14yrs old baseball players) have the luxury of time to worry about the recording... and it’s not always easy to stay right by the camera to turn the recording on/off. ### 2/5 — SOLOSHOT 3 *2018-02-11, version 1.4.1* I this for our church as well.
