The free features are excellent and the Solves+ purchase option is so worth it too. Most developers severely cripple their free variants that it really sours you from wanting to give them any revenue but that wasn’t the case here . I find this an indispensable app that I use nearly every day and across all of my devices. Please consider the in app purchase if you can. I literally don’t know how I would survive without this app, it’s that good in my opinion. My biggest gripe is that it is so darned small that I can barely see it with my 60-something-year-old eyeballs. I’m not loving the layout either. Off I went to find a calculator that I actually like. Discovered Solves. I’m never looking back. The conversion groups alone are fabulous. A couple of nice to haves: memory keys, fraction calculator, and ability to resize. That would be 5 stars. Updated to 5 stars. This is just simply the best all around calculator. Hands down. I still would like to see a few things, like a +/- button…something I use alot. But the sheer functionality and reliability of this app is fantastic. I tried a number of calculators and liked this one the best. After using it a short while I purchased Solves+ to get the option to do unit conversions. The unit conversions are clean and uncluttered as I have the option to only add the units that I will use. Overall this calculator app is well thought out and works excellent. My thanks to the developer for an excellent free app without ads. The upgrade for Solves+ is also priced fairly. Solves does this well and works on iPhone, iPad and Mac. I almost stopped using it because of no clear or clear all key, but the developer built in the clear function as a swipe up. You can also turn the clear key on in settings if you want a physical key. The native Mac calculator is too small with no physical size adjustment available and it goes grey when you click on it to use it. Solves is bigger and has an attached window for the history or tape. There are no ads and no glitches.
