It still works, but there’s a very long delay when sending a request to open or close blinds. They suggested just using the ipad since it doesn't connect to my iphone. It's an up to date, 1.5 year old iphone 14. Worked on my old iphone XR. I am never going with somfy again. Look at this, last software update was from 2years ago. It will send you in circles. I’ve spent hours in updates, resets, and attempts to pair my shades using the somfy smartphone interface. The app sometimes works… sometimes not. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It works with Alexa more often than the app itself, and I have no idea why! The crazy-weird and confusing remote is largely responsive, but by all means don’t try to re-program the thing. I have a $6K investment in these silly blinds, just to have them decide on their own if they feel like working on any given day. Yes, the terrible Somfy WiFi transceiver is within 10’ of my perfect WiFi, on a dedicated 2.4ghz network. So, ya, don’t even go there with excuses. ### 1/5 — Do Not Buy *2026-06-12, version iOS App Version 6.11* Unable to pair to Alexa, app is not intuitive and one of the two somfy blinds randomly decided to stop working with the programmed schedule. Unable to pair the blinds with the remote. Customer service takes forever to get back to you if they get back at all. It would be extremely useful since this app is extremely slow and takes forever to get to any action I’d like to accomplish. And still no homekit support. It’s 2020, you’re years behind the times. 2025 update: still the worst app. No homekit app. No caching what shades I have so it takes forever to load on startup. Now it asks me every time for location data which i definitely don’t want to give. After using the device for less than a year, the app no longer syncs with the device. (Tried MANY times to make it work). BTW the device was expensive! Very disappointed in this. Will probably have to buy an entirely new blind setup. Oh, and it seems there’s no customer support. It took some time to figure out the voice commands via Alexa but when I did, I’ll never go back to the dark ages and get manual blinds.
