## What is Somni?

Somni reads your dreams on your iPhone — the dream itself never leaves the device.

Most dream apps send what you wrote to a server. Somni uses Apple Intelligence, so on a supported iPhone the reading happens on the phone in your hand. No account, no upload, nothing for anyone to look at. Including us.

RECORD BEFORE IT FADES

You lose a dream about five minutes after waking. Somni is built for those five minutes: open it, hold one button, and say whatever you remember, even fragments. It transcribes as you speak. No keyboard, no forms, eyes barely open.

Too tired to talk? Type it. Nothing to report? One tap logs the night, and your streak survives — dreams aren't something you can decide to have.

IT REMEMBERS YOUR OTHER DREAMS

This is the part that makes a reading feel like yours. Somni keeps track of the images that keep returning — the water, the locked door, the house you grew up in — and reads tonight's dream against them. The longer you keep it, the sharper it gets.

Every reading gives you the dream's shape in a few sentences, the symbols that carried weight, how it felt, and one question worth sitting with. Not a horoscope. Not advice.

TWO VOICES

Psychological — grounded and reflective, reading the dream as something your mind is working on.

Folk — the old dream-book register, meanings told as tradition. Never as prediction: Somni does not tell you a dream foretells anything, in either voice.

YOUR JOURNAL IS YOURS

Recording, the journal, search and export are free forever. Export everything as Markdown and JSON in one tap, no subscription, no catch. If you ever leave, you leave with your dreams.

The journal syncs through your own private iCloud. There are no accounts to create, no ads, and no tracking — which is why Somni never asks to track you.

REQUIREMENTS

On-device readings need Apple Intelligence, which is available on iPhone 15 Pro and later. Recording, the journal, patterns, search and export work on any iPhone running iOS 18.
