### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2011-02-21, version 2.0*

Won't even load up. They've obviously spent ages writing the blurb and making it sound great but only moments designing the app. Absolute rubbish. Sack them from the app store.

### 1/5 — Daube

*2011-02-20*

Inutile.

### 1/5 — Simply does not work!

*2011-02-16, version 2.0*

I have tried reinstalling it, switching the phone on and off and I am running iOS 4.2 on a 3G iphone, so all up to date. The app just doesn't start. I want my 59p back!

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2011-02-10, version 2.0*

Absolute waste of money, sounds really good in the description but only work in demo mode. Will not pick up any sound whatsoever... strongly avoid!!! Infact this should be removed from the store asap!!!

### 1/5 — guter Ansatz...

*2011-02-05, version 2.0*

jedoch total daneben. Zeigt ungenau und zeitverzōgert an. Da bringt auch ne schōne Optik nichts. no

### 1/5 — Looks good but...

*2011-01-17, version 1.0.3*

Good for a light show but that's about it. Not sensitive enough for any real use and not focussed on the right frequencies (most of the graph is dedicated to frequencies beyond the range of hearing for the average pop/rock music listener).

### 1/5 — No real frequency response

*2011-01-01, version 1.0.3*

I was looking for an app that respond to unique frequencys but this one always show all frequencys active even if I produce a single tone. I hope for some update.

### 1/5 — Don't!

*2010-10-31*

No good at all.

### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht.

*2010-09-20, version 0*

Nicht kaufen. Diese App. Ist keinen Cent wert.

### 1/5 — Issues with Sound View

*2010-08-23, version 0*

I would not recommend this app, for the following reasons.
1. The sound in the room does not seem to be displayed on the screen unless the room is fairly quiet.
2. The frequency scale is only linear and can't be changed to log. Zero to 4 kHz occupies 20% of the linear scale.
3. You can't select line display, only vertical bars.
4. The test mode appears of limited usefulness at best.

### 1/5 — Das Geld nicht wert.

*2010-08-21, version 0*

Dieser App. Macht alles andere aber nicht das was er soll!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Buggy,

*2020-07-05, version 3.0.6*

App forgets added songs every time it’s closed.
Navigation/swipe controls dont work, or very rarely.
No markers or calibration on any scales.

Not worth the $1 I paid for it

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2018-09-12, version 3.0.4*

It kept quitting on me, the only function that worked was the microphone after trying 3 the times, deleted after 2 minutes I want a refund

### 1/5 — Not worth the dollar

*2014-09-19, version 2.4*

The free application Hz is better than this. The pinch-zooming and panning are extremely sensitive. To the point that the app looses functionality and becomes frustrating to use. One would think that landscape mode would help a little bit, but the app just clips the display so you cannot identify the dominant frequency. This looks like a HS or college project that lacks polish and refinement and thus limits the apps usefulness.

### 1/5 — Waste of $$$

*2012-10-26, version 2.4*

This app is the typical lazy developer trying to make a quick buck.

Why would you design a sound app that you can't use with your own music?...to make a quick 99cents that's why.

90% of the people looking for this want to see their own music play. Even my free GPS app lets me play my own tunes while its working.

P.O.S. app. Save ur money.

### 1/5 — Can't play music in app

*2012-06-20, version 2.3*

Terrible app and a waste of 99 cents. I can't play any music while in this app but only in this app. I want my money back

### 1/5 — didn't like this app

*2012-03-19, version 2.3*

I found a free app RTA-lite that did a much better job of analysing the sound. I wasn't able to view the freq. I wanted to look at. this only handled very high freq's. Hated that I had to give this developer money up front instead of a limited time trial first.
This app did not meet my expectations.

### 1/5 — Herr

*2012-02-06, version 2.3*

Nicht wirklich zu gebrauchen...

### 1/5 — Sound view

*2012-01-06, version 2.3*

Pas utilisable

### 1/5 — Does not work!

*2011-05-07, version 2.1*

The app does all it says it will visually, but the graphics do not in any way represent the specific frequencies heard!

### 1/5 — Horrible!!

*2011-04-16, version 2.1*

The sound bars that come up sent following the specific song, there just going up and down randomly! Don't waste money

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Recommended

*2015-08-09, version 2.4*

It works great.

### 5/5 — Continued Enhancement

*2011-12-28, version 2.3*

This app is much improved from earlier versions, and the continued enhancements have made it a worth while purchase. I personally love the Spectral Flames !

### 4/5 — Should have grid on display with on/off

*2012-08-29, version 2.4*

Need grid for frequency strength reference. Also highest level from past 30secs should mark

### 4/5 — Awesome but not perfect

*2011-07-28, version 2.2*

It is an awesome app for what it costs. The setting is useful and pinch control is a nice touch. The codec is impressive too. Deduct 1star because the labels on x-axis of the spectrum analyzer is not very helpful in determining the exact frequency and there is no label on the y-axis which should be in dB. I hope the developers will improve it in the next version.

### 4/5 — Good app!

*2010-09-10, version 0*

This would be the bomb if it worked with the IPod on your phone to. Can this be done?

### 4/5 — It's ok. Not bad

*2010-08-01, version 0*

I like that sensitivity bar. It helps alot. But could be alot better if it could analyze in more detail below 4khz

### 3/5 — Ok I guess

*2011-01-30, version 2.0*

It would be much more useful if it worked with the iPod itself as to analyze your music saved to your device... And also if it didn't crash every time it was opened

### 2/5 — No music viewing

*2014-11-16, version 2.4*

Won't play my music so I can see it.
S' the only reason I bought it and I'd appreciate it if Rare works would add it in.

### 2/5 — Needs some improvements

*2012-12-18, version 2.4*

Well the colour customization is cool but the oscilloscope is not smooth. Pretty choppy. A smoothness update is needed.

### 2/5 — Definitely more "show" than "analyzer"

*2011-03-18, version 2.0*

I have no clue what filters or FFT the programmer TRIED to implement. It doesn't work yet.
You will get an app with bars that somewhat jump to incoming noise or sound. Definitely in no way anywhere near to what one expects from a spectrum analyzer.

However you get what you pay for: $0.99 isn't much.
