Why can’t I see them while I’m writing? ### 2/5 — Great BUT...... *2019-02-26, version 3.4* The app itself is great, as a note taker, however as for song writing it doesn't work, the Rhyme and Synonyms section just crash back to Home Screen. I am using a dated iPad 2 so it may be that but I'm sure this must have been tested on all formats. Disappointing really. ### 2/5 — This started out as a good app, but slowly it has gone down. *2018-06-23, version 3.4* I began happy. Worked well, better than I could have hoped. Then, as time has gone by, I have discovered bugs that seem to be getting worse with every use. To my mind, if you have an app, you need to make it easy for people to be able to get help when things go wrong. Instead, so far all I have is blank walls. Not good. The issue revolves around the typing on the screen disappearing off screen as I type. If I add an extra line, the type returns, but if I then try to remove that line, the type goes. Very frustrating. However, I went to report this to see if it can be fixed, but found that I have no idea how to do so, as the program asks for an email address to be registered, but gives you no way to do so, and if it is asking for the system email address, then why can’t it find it? Every other program can! When I start typing, my page scrolls up automatically so that I can't see my lyrics. There may be more, but I haven't made it that far yet. I was having several issues so I deleted and reinstalled the app. I then tried Songwriter HD L but have the same issues. 1. If I rotate the iPad to landscape for ease of typing, I can’t see my lyrics. 2. I type the first line and when I start the second, it shifts the text to the left so I can’t see the first part of each line because it’s off screen. 3. When I click to add a new section,...chorus, etc. nothing happens. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!...and soon! Used it the first time to make a "lead sheet" for a song I was to perform at a wedding. For that purpose, the app is great. For the not so great, when you copy your lead sheet to Drop box, it turns the text into gibberish. There is no option to open your file in iBooks, or to send it to your printer. I did email it to myself, the attachment wouldn't open. Not a problem if you work strictly from the iPad, if you want copies for the rest of the band you are SOL. I've not tried any of the "higher" functions, as I usually work from a lead sheet. Toolbars aren’t at the bottom, they are at the top. Sections don’t open, there are icons that seem to have no functional use, and all in all, as a first time user, I was frustrated within the first 30mins. Not at all intuitive. Can’t figure out how to save to folders and so it goes on. Deleted it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2020-09-13, version 3.4* I couldn’t get the app to actually place chords in the song. Also when I choose the synonyms or rhymes option the app shuts down. It tells me I can import lyrics via Dropbox- you cannot Lyrics typed into it take an age. It keeps taking the place where you are writing Obote the line so you cannot read what you have just typed. The only part that works is the changing of chords if the key is changed. A complete waste of money. I am looking for something else. Life is far too short to keep trying to make this work. It is really easy to grab lyrics and get them into this app, set up the timing and add the chords. I have not got to grips with adding music yet but as I am using it mainly as a prompt at the moment that is not a detractor.
