## What is Songbook XP?

Songbook XP is a focused, offline viewer for .songbook archives — collections of songs, lyrics and audio recordings stored in a portable open format.

Open a .songbook file from email, AirDrop, Files or your downloads folder and start flipping through pages. Tap song numbers to jump anywhere in the book. Search by title or by number. Play attached audio with lock-screen transport controls — perfect for hands-free practice or rehearsal.

FEATURES

• Page-flip viewer with verse and chorus layout faithful to the upstream Swift app
• Search by title (full-text across song titles and verses) or by song number
• Audio playback of one or more takes per song
• Lock-screen and Control Center transport controls — play, pause, scrub
• Background audio playback survives screen-off and app-switch
• Accessibility font picker with two typefaces designed for readers with low vision: APHont and Atkinson Hyperlegible
• iOS Guided Access aware — phantom Play commands suppressed during GA sessions
• Light theme tuned for high contrast and long reading sessions

PRIVACY

Songbook XP runs entirely on your device. No analytics. No telemetry. No advertising. No third-party SDKs. Your imported books, your font preference and your current page never leave the device.

OPEN FORMAT

The .songbook archive format is open and documented. Receive books via email, AirDrop or any sharing tool. Build your own using the format documentation in the GitHub repository. Use files produced by the upstream Swift app — both apps share the same archive format.

ACCESSIBILITY

The two included typefaces are designed for readers with low vision. APHont was developed by the American Printing House for the Blind. Atkinson Hyperlegible was commissioned by the Braille Institute. Tap the Aa button to switch.
