Aber ein Detail fehlt *2026-03-03* Ich nutze die App für meine Auftritte als Sängerin und ich stimme mich immer wieder mit anderen Sängern ab, wer welche Parts singt. Die anderen können es in ihren Apps farblich hinterlegen, damit man auf einen Blick sieht, wer wann dran ist - ich kann den Text nicht einfärben! Wechseln möchte ich nicht, weil ich „Songs“ sonst einfach fantastisch finde! Das ist eine totale Kleinigkeit, die aber eine riesen Wirkung für mich hätte! Ich bitte euch wirklich, bringt dieses kleine Feature - ich wäre so dankbar! ### 4/5 — Kompliziert in den einfachen Dingen *2026-03-03* Liebes Team, Ich finde eure App wirklich sehr gut und arbeite viel damit. Aber in den einfachsten Dingen wie zum Beispiel das Arbeiten mit Page Turner ist immer wieder ein Unsicherheitsfaktor da. Wenn ich einfach nur Seite für Seite durchgehen, will vorwärts und rückwärts, dann klappt es manchmal. Beim nächsten Mal. Wieder nur zur Hälfte der Seite. Beim Arbeiten mit Setliste werden die Noten zum Teil so vergrößert, dass die Abbildung über die Ränder geht. Auch das ist problematisch. Dennoch schätze ich euer Programm und vertraue, dass diese Dinge irgendwann gelöst werden. Danke **Developer response:** Der Hinweis auf 'Noten' deutet darauf hin, dass Sie mit PDFs arbeiten. Das beschriebene Problem tritt auf, wenn Playback gestartet wird, während sich die PDF im Vollbildmodus befindet. Es tritt nicht auf, wenn die Setliste schon sichtbar ist, wenn Playback gestartet wird. Das wird in Version 15.1 behoben. Schönen Dank für ihren Bericht. ### 3/5 — Leider keine Akkorddiagramme auf „links“ *2025-11-05* Das Programm macht einen guten und flexiblen Eindruck. Jede Menge Detail-Features. Leider scheitert es für mich aber an einem „Basic“-Feature: Akkord-Diagramme werden nur „rechtshändig“ dargestellt. Diese per Setting horizontal zu spiegeln ist einfach und wäre extrem hilfreich für Linkshänder. **Developer response:** Bitte die neue Option 'Generate Left-Handed Diagrams' (oder die Option 'Display Left-Handed Fretboard') in den App-Einstellungen auswählen. Viel Spaß! ### 3/5 — Good but drains battery *2025-10-28, version 14.6* This app has a great feature set and although quirky in places is easy enough to use. However on both my phone and iPad, both running iOS 26, my battery life has been completely crippled due to the app draining the battery in the background even when I’ve disabled background tasks in settings. Hopefully this will be fixed soon as it’s become almost unusable to me as a consequence. ### 2/5 — TIMELINE ET SCROLL PDF *2025-01-05* L'encien system pour caler l'audio sur le pdf etait beaucoup mieux et plus simple. Un nouveau moteur de défilement 'auto-scroll' / 'page flip' a été implémenté dans Songs 13.2 qui fonctionnera parfaitement. ### 2/5 — One song good, but not great. *2024-12-08* One song is not bad, but it could use some improvements. Firstly, it's awkward on an iPad, which is suprising as it's supposed be designed for Apple products. I used an external keyboard case, but when typing in One Song the iPad screen always displays and hides most of the screen. Also, the inputing of chords over lyrics is a bit quirky. It would be easier to writy lyrics in MS Word and then add chords in the line above. With some minor updates this could be a great app. **Developer response:** The Songs app displays a custom on-screen keyboard which can be disabled when using an external Apple keyboard. Go to the app's settings/preferences (under 'Devices' -> 'Mobile Devices') and deselect the option 'Show On-Screen Keyboard When Using Bluetooth Devices'.  Note: The app's on-screen keyboard is useful when iOS automatically hides the on-screen keyboard when a Bluetooth page turner pedal is connected. Thanks! ### 2/5 — iPad keyboard conflicts *2024-12-04* Like this app but I find they using a iPad keyboard with it is annoying because iPad keyboard always displays. You can minimize the iPad keyboard but every time you try to type it reappears. Makes it very annoying to use on and iPad which is disappointing considering f it was designed for Apple products. **Developer response:** Songs displays a custom on-screen keyboard which can be disabled when using an external Apple keyboard. Go to the Songs app settings/preferences (under 'Devices' -> 'Mobile Devices') and deselect the option 'Show On-Screen Keyboard When Using Bluetooth Devices'.  The app's on-screen keyboard is useful when a Bluetooth page turner pedal is connected since iOS identifies these as external keyboards and automatically hides the on-screen keyboard of the operating system. ### 5/5 — Mehr als gut *2024-08-23* Der Preis ist viel zu günstig, für die Sachen, die einem geboten werden. Ich habe von Onsong zu SongOne gewchselt und es nicht einmal bereut. Es fühlt sich kantiger an, ist aber wesentlich stabiler und gibt ein sicheres Gefühl in der Handhabung. Importe sind kein Problem und schnell nachgearbeitet. Habe zur Zeit 400 Songs in der Bank und die App hustet nicht mal. Natürlich gibt es immer individuelle Verbessungswünsche. Die werden gern vom Entwickler entgegegengenommen und wenn sinnvoll in der nächsten Version eingearbeitet. Danke für diese tolle app! ### 4/5 — Love this app and the support *2024-05-29* Yes this app has a lot of features and I don't use most of them. But, for what I use it's great! On my macmini I add songs and build setlists. It then transfers them seemlessly to my iPad for the gigs. Since I perform most songs from memory, the set list is the main feature I use. But, when it's a song I don't quite have memorized, I touch the song in the list and there it is. I can swipe to get to the next song. I mainly use PDF's and it's great for that. And when there is a problem, the support has been great with fixes turned around quickly ### 5/5 — Excellent app that just keeps getting better *2024-05-25* Since the release of 12.2 there’s no easier app to quickly get a perfect scroll set up for live bands that don’t use backing tracks. Prior versions always worked great if you were just syncing lyrics to backing tracks. Lots of other great features but for me this is the biggest time saver and so most important. Chord implementation is also top notch! ### 5/5 — Easy to use and good features *2024-03-18, version 11.9* Aside from a few nit-picky items, I am very happy with the app. I like that it is a single payment and not recurring subscription - that was the main reason I chose this over some other competing apps. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t always work with Ultimate Guitar *2024-03-18, version 11.9* I’ve sort of enjoyed using song one, but I’m not having much luck bringing songs over from Ultimate Guitar. I have exported a lot of songs from UG, sometimes they come over, more often they don’t. I have no idea why. ### 5/5 — One of my favorite apps *2024-02-02, version 11.8* This is an awesome app. It does SO much, although I got it just to organize charts. Searching charts, transposing, creating sets, and so much more are all so easy. I had a printing issue and Peter, the developer, addressed it so refreshingly fast. I love this app. ### 5/5 — Pretty much perfect. *2024-01-19* Takes a little while to figure some editing actions, easiest to do on Mac computer, but once familiar it is an amazingly clever piece of software. Questions answered super quick. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Umständlich! *2026-08-05* Ich habe diese App schon seit 3 Tagen auf dem Mac und auf iOS Geräten. Das UI ist anscheinend nur dazu da den ChordPro Script zu verstecken. Und das ist das Problem. Die Text-Verarbeitung wird dadurch verlangsamt. Die Chord-Eingabe ist eine Katastrophe. In der Zeit wo ich einen einzigen neuen Song reinkopiere und mit ein paar Akkorden ausstatte hätte ich mit jeden anderen beliebigen App (Onsong, Songbook, etc) min. 5 Songs geschafft. Nachtrag: Funktion "Suchen und Erstetzen" nicht existent, viele "basic" Funktionen die bei Textbearbeitung unabdingbar sind, fehlen. Zwischen dir und dem Text steht eine dicke Wand die User Interface heisst. Wenn man dazu noch zwischen der App und einem anderen Programm schalten muss (wegen Akkorde heraushören z.B.) scrollt die App immer dankbare Weise zum Ende des Textes, damit man die Stelle die man gerade bearbeitet, wieder suchen kann. Damit man nicht einschläft, nehme ich mal an... Ich habe halt in ein Beta Programm investiert! Der Font der Akkorde lässt sich nicht ändern. Sie sind unnötig groß und "fressen" so unnötig viel Platz weg. **Developer response:** Mit über 170 App Store updates bietet die Songs App einmalige Stabilität und Features die weit über das ChordPro Format und den Fähigkeiten vergleichbarer Apps hinausgehen: Das 'Suchen und Ersetzen' von Akkorden kann durch langes Antippen eines Akkords in der Cursor-Werkzeugleiste ausgeführt werden. In Bezug auf die Akkordgrösse können beliebige Fonts für die Liedtexte angewählt werden und deren Grösse kann per 'Themes' und 'Zoom' angepasst werden. Der Zeilenabstand ist auch angleichbar. Per App Einstellungen können Akkorde beim Tippen automatisch formatiert werden, oder es können Lieder in dem 'Simple Text' Format von OnSong or Songbook bearbeitet werden. Danke für den Hinweis auf das Verhalten der App, wenn beim Editieren von Liedern auf ein anderes Programm zugegriffen wird. Dieser Punkt wird in einem Update korrigiert. Wir helfen gerne bei der Einrichtung der Songs App nach einer Kontaktaufnahme über das 'Hilfe' Submenu der Bibliothek. ### 1/5 — Absolutely rubbish since iOS 26 *2025-12-12* I thought the few small problems I initially found in the app would be rectified by the recent update but since then I have found the app completely unusable. Not only do core functions no longer work (e.g. song search bar or the bottom arrow to show the panel) but on more than one occasion songs have been completely overwritten by another song either imported or edited. In other words the database becomes corrupted and the app is 100% untrustworthy. I will not be using it and have already moved to a more secure alternative. Best avoided! **Developer response:** The action of the (un)hide keyboard button will improve as iOS26 matures. Current working options include performing a longer tap or selecting the text to unhide the keyboard and swiping the keyboard downward to hide it. There are no additional reports of an issue with the searchbar or a major database problem. The database is still the same as in all 146 previously released app versions. iCloud synced apps use UUIDs to manage records which prevents record swapping as well as overwriting of non-related songs by design. iCloud can revert to an older dataset if there is a major issue with your iCloud server but your Songs backup file can fully restore your dataset if needed. However, such an occurrence is extremely rare given that iCloud has been continuously improved upon for more than a decade and the Songs app has been battle tested by pro users for more than three years. Clicking around to figure things out causes the app to hang (spinning beach ball). ### 1/5 — Just all wrong *2024-08-14, version 12.6* I was told that this was THE app to get to chart my songs, as I could upload the mp3 files into the program. WRONG. Every time I try to upload from my Dropbox, the mp3 isn’t supported. I even upgraded to the “pro” version, but wasn’t able to get what I needed, rendering this app useless. To date NO response. - One more time…can I add music from i-tunes? - Will the music PLAY? - Can I THEN modify the selected song to add lyrics? - Can I additionally include the score, including chords and chord diagrams? Your previous answers to potential customers were, I’ve found, ambiguous, vague and off topic. Once you learn how to add the chords to your sheet you'll be glad you purchased this app. I think I use it more on my computer than on my iPad, but because it works on both you have the best of both. I don't use all the features, but knowing it can use wireless bluetooth is a plus. I use it for writing, sharing and performing my music. I use the app across my iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. Being a guitar player I needed an app that would allow editing, chord charts and PDF imports. This app does it all and more. The only upgrade needed for me is the ability for the chord charts to follow the typed in chord symbols in order of chord symbols. Support has been great so far and always provides links to features and suggestions that help get more out of the app. Greate job. ### 5/5 — All-Time BEST APP *2024-11-17* I started using this on my iPad about 8 months ago and it quickly became my favorite app ever purchased/paid for. It’s truly unbelievable how robust and full-featured this is and now I’m taking it for a spin on macOS. The main thing I used it for is pretty simple. I have about 500 write-ups of songs in mixed formats, Word, PDF, etc, andI wanted a simple way to create an evening Set List and be able to quickly pull up the documents.
